    Hey man I really want to thank you because your channel has helped me a lot with the process of choosing a residency, I'm a Dominican Med student who's graduating at the end of this year and I wasn't quiet sure what to do next and your channel just popped up by coincidence while I was making some research on the process of a residency in Germany, and I got to tell you, you literally opened my eyes with your transparency and specificity about the process, it has made the decision making process so easy and I'm glad you are doing this as you said, so people don't have it as hard as you did. Keep the great content man, I wish to see more of it!

    Could you talk a little bit about HOW TO get a job? Did you use an agency, or applied just by yourself to random hospitals etc? Thank you!

    I suppose there are both agencies and offers posted in internet and medical journals every month. I however didn't go for any of those, rather took an opposite approach. I opened Google maps, found cities where I wanted to be, zoomed in to find the hospitals, clicked on the webpages, found the department where I wanted to apply and sent an email. And it worked! But yeah, medical newspapers suck as the Ärzteblatt should have job offerings posted

    I’m so glad to hear good news coming from people who try very hard to succeed! Congrats ! On the other hand, I have been feeling stuck lately as well concerning the language, I finished A2 but I don’t really feel like I’m making any sort of progress especially with my studies in parallel, it’s very hard to balanced med school and language learning so I would like to request a video on how you learned the language/ your routine/journey in learning it, balancing it w med school. This vid was pretty motivating so thank u again

    Hi, I'm a peruvian med student doing the internship. I know all the process thanks to your videos and some others. You are the only one that really talks about documentation and I'm really grateful. But I have a question, I have to do the translation with official translator in my country, or is it better to do it in Germany. Also there s a thing called 'apostillar' what's the process for it? Should I do it before the translation? Should I have all the paper ready before I'm going to travel? Those are my doubts, with these information I think I'll start learning the language and hopefully in 2 years start this project. Thanks a lot again, you are the only one in youtube that gives accurate information without 1h video.

    The jury translation has the value of official translation + Postille (apostillar). You should be able to find a jury translator accepted by Germany in your country. Best of luck!

    Thank you very much for you content. I know tha B2 is the minimum level of German Language certificate that you must have. I was wondering how important is it to have C1 to get a job? Is it absolutely necessary if you want to work in a university hospital? Does the long period after the graduation affect your chances to get a job?

  • @EutopianDoctor

    @EutopianDoctor

    The FSP Exam is itself a C1 Level exam. This means that technically it is impossible to have less than a C1 as a medical doctor in germany. To apply for this exam, you only need proof of a B2 level though. Long periods of time not working never looks good on the CV, but I never had a problem finding a job even though I myself have a 2 year gap between graduation and work. Luckily there is a great demand for doctors in Germany.

    In the everyday clinical practice there are not many benefits. All the colleagues speak german. The Patients that dont pseka german usually dont speak english either. English is however very useful when it comes to research and finding sources in Internet. Like this video :D
