    I am an American shotgun shooting enthusiast shooting primarily Side by Side shotguns. I love your channel very much. If you ever have the chance to review an American A.H. Fox Sterlingworth or Parker Vh or an L.C. Smith Field Grade or Ideal grade I'd love to see your review on Americas best. Thank you for your consideration

    I have a 30 inch version and love using it as a clay gun. Was tempted by a silver pigeon but not a fan of engraved actions , so the simplicity of the black action was an attraction. Paid less than 2K for it new.

    If I were to advise anyone on shooting dtl, I would say do not rush, take your time, and when mounting the gun let it settle on your hold point and hold it there till you are fully focused and ready. If you just fling it up and yell pull while the gun is still in motion you're asking to miss.

    This is still the best range etiquette (=safety) video I’ve seen. And I’ve seen a lot. Authoritative, memorable, and very watchable. All necessary to have any effect. Bravo. And I just noticed the rain in the last scene. I’m not stopping dammit. It’s important. Beautiful.

    "Don't worry about the steel shot thing" Yikes, I destroyed a really nice O/U in one year when the USFWS switched to steel. The barrels bulged directly behind the chokes. And, yes, I was using the recommended chokes for steel. The local smiths told me at the time that they were seeing about one gun a week with what they were calling steel shot syndrome. If you can find alternatives to steel, use them.

    Purchased my Lanber 2097 Lux back in 2007 and is still going strong to this day. It does all the things I intended it for from sporting clays, quail, ducks, rabbit/hare even taking down pigs and goats. Out in the field I couldn't justify outlaying the money in buying Berretta's and Miroku's knowing it will be rolling around the back of my truck and in the elements.

    Always preferred copper (which can be hard to find) for clarity and detail. Used to be easy to find back when sun glasses were made from good quality glass. Rose works well for me in low light and helps a lot with definition. Never liked grey as to me it cuts clarity and definition. Yellow is ok for low light but doesn’t help me with clarity. Never tried purple but I guess I need to. But I do really prefer copper in all light conditions. 👍🏼

    I normally wear clear lenses in my 'RE Ranger Edge' glasses. I do have Purple, Red and Yellow lenses but rarely use them TBH. By the way my clear lenses are optically superb which is why I tend to default to them.

    I find wearing glasses and ear defenders at the same time very uncomfortable. I can put up with it for a short while before it starts to hurt the area around the ears.

  • @hunt4redoctober628
    @hunt4redoctober6283 күн бұрын

    The key issue is to get some glasses which have very thin, unobtrusive frames so that your ear defenders sit comfortably over them and don't push the glasses into you head which can be uncomfortable. I wear a pair of 'RE Ranger Edge' glasses with interchangeable lenses and a pair of MSA Sordin Supreme Pro X ear defenders with gel ear seals on the them. The combo is superb and works very well. I agree a bit pricey but might be worth the investment over time.

    Great vid. Peoples colour perception is another angle to pursue. I am an artist and paint in oils etc so colour perception is important to me and the people I paint for. I know this is a bit off point but I shoot as well! If you are going down the route of coloured glasses etc, Consider taking an Ishihara colour perception test first then try your lenses first before purchase.... Good luck in your choice!!!
