I have one of the original ATA 30 inch sporters which has a mechanical trigger and so will recycle any cartridge. It shoots well too!!
A friend in my club has the even cheaper version, & I've had the opportunity to shoot it a few times. Feels good, handles well, shoots well. So no doubt this one will shoot very well too. Excellent value for money.
Absolutely spot on from ATA , cardboard box keeps the price down, will be getting one of these , £1100 lot of gun for the money ,what’s not to like, even looks good 👌👍
I have one of these and i like it. I wanted something steel shot proof and it was good value for the money. It’s not quite as good fit as my 686 but it’s still a great gun - recoil is fine. All ATAs come with a box - move on! I would like to see more on what it’s like to shoot with please. I find it quite heavy but it moves well enough.
A detachable trigger is actually a nice option for the kinda competition shotgun, let’s imagine if a trigger goes wrong you may change it immediately and carry on which I think is good.
My abs case has been under the bed for 3 years since I purchased the gun and that is where it will stay until I sell the gun.
I've just bought one from Roy Martin gunsmith. Love hit! Hit the first clay with the first shot. The rest hmm, I'm a new shooter, so it's a work in progress. Cardboard box, are you having a laugh! Anyway, Roy martin's gave me a slip to go with it, so there's no need for a case.
Most people never use the case that any Gun comes in....A gun slip is the place most Guns live out their lives in when not in the Gun safety cabinet. This Gun is a bargain.. shots well..and for the price is extremely well made...Hopefully this will shake up the market ...where most of the more well known makes having been ripping us off... price wise... for years.
When have you seen anyone carrying round a case it comes in. Other than traveling abroad.

It is just a little extra that does not cost a lot.

@@TSCTheshootingchannelwould like to see you do a more in-depth review on it’s actual shooting capabilities please mate
Don’t care about the box for all the reasons already stated and I will be buying one of these. Can anyone tell me why the Yildiz Pro 12 Black Sporter is £750 + more though? Because it has a Smart Case and two more chokes? Surely not.
My case has been in the loft for the last 4 years. When do you see anyone use them? I’d rather they came without if it meant reducing the cost, or manufacturers replaced with something useful, like a slip.
This gun will help the school kids and younger adults on a budget.
Good value gun
Super episode as usual, David. Keep up the great informative content and your presentation style. Look forward to the next one as always.
I agree should be supplied with a abs box, I would like one with 28" barrels when available .
I think it’s a fair point on the case, but as lots have said, who actually uses the ones they do have? I’ve bought cheaper rifles that came with a case, and more expensive ones that didn’t, and they all go in the same box to the range (a Howa one as it’s the smallest!). I’m guessing ATA decided to make a £1200 with a detachable trigger as a USP, and it could come with 5 chokes in a cardboard box, or 4 chokes in an ABS case - I think they’ve made the right decision, otherwise it’d be a £1250 gun with 5 chokes and an ABS case and missing the price point, or a £1200 gun in a nice box with reviews saying “if it only had one more choke it’d be perfect”…!
Had one, lasted 8 days. Detatchable trigger started detaching on its own when opening the action..
It's the gun that you buy how many people use a case once you get the gun home ,you can't store a case in a gun cabinet!!
Three things: 1 The Yildiz Pro is over £1000 more expensive. So you would expect a ‘case’. 2. As a Yildiz Pro owner I personally don’t rate the case it came with. It was the biggest disappointment. 3. Gun manufacturers are being told to stop using plastic cases for environmental purposes. And traditional wood/canvas or wood/leather cases are way too expensive.
Love to see a review on the new browning b525 composite
I brought an ata SP black which came with a suede case 650 new
Hi David, one question about the ata pro 12 , did yours come with the Allen / hex key for the adjustable cone? Mine had everything but that?

Mine did, it was with the chokes
A brilliant gun for the money, you didn't say anything about barrel and stock weights. Palm swell on stock aswell. Very bias review,

Seem like a reluctance to like this gun as it's not a yildiz. Very quick unenthusiastic "review". Quick run down of some features. I'd much rather a company spend money on their product than their packaging. It's just going to be put in a gun slip anyway when I take it shooting. Feature packed product at that price point. Not bothered that the packaging isn't feature packed
Why do u want a plastic box for I thrown Al mine in the bin u only put the plastic box in the attic

All ATA's come in a cardboard. The company seems to reduce costs on packaging.
Hi David quite a quick review for you this one. Would have liked you to have shot it. You didn't mention about the none selective trigger. Also you said about the cardboard box it comes in, well if it had a plastic one it would only get thrown in the loft. It's not that long ago we were seeing Miroku Grade 5s coming in a cardboard box. There's a lot of interest in this gun so I'm told. The thing that lets it down is it's none selective trigger which is not much use on a sporter!

We will take that on board just was trying something new.
Have a 250 quid gamba with a drop trigger.
Another great program. Thank you David!
I agree with the case opinion.
I guarantee if this was a Yildiz, it would be the best gun on the market and you must have one in the cabinet…..but as it’s not, the chequering was rough…..the detachable trigger was pointless, comes with a cardboard box,

We do think this is a bit unfair comment when we do say it is a good gun and we say go buy one, tryed to be far but say what we all think thanks for your comment TSC

@@N0ggieI agree with you 100%! I like all these features, what I’m saying is the channel is saying they don’t know why a detachable trigger is on this gun, he doesn’t think it will take off…..yet if it was a Yildiz it would be the best thing since sliced bread. It’s not a hate comment or anything negative, it’s just an opinion. I love this channel and watch every video without fail, but do think they are heavily biased towards certain brands, but as sponsors, they will be.

@@TSCTheshootingchannel You miss all the important points in the review though so it’s hardly objective. Now I’ve never shot a Pro12, I’m not brand loyal and you guys obviously know much more about shotguns than I do but I really struggle to see how spending thousands of pounds is going to improve my % hit rate as a hobbyist shooter. Getting back to my objective review point. In the review there is no mention that it has fitments for barrel weight and stock weight with a kit available separately making it very easy to perfectly tune which is pretty good at this price point. It forcing cones designed in collaboration with Teague that reduces recoil by a claimed 27% or so which I’ve read about. It seems to me that detail like this is more important in a review than the chequering being sharp when new.
Not a bad looking gun. Can't see the point of a DT unless you know what you are doing really. I do like a chunky fore end, the chequering is obviously laser cut and there is nothing wrong with that, if it is a bit rough / sharp to the touch, so what it does it's job and as said it will settle with age. I do like a good pistol grip as although my hands are not massive I have found that the Beretta pistol grips do not agree with my hands. I have seen many comments on barrels that are either 'gloss' or 'muted' and that has never made any sense to me as I have never noticed a difference to the sighting from any perceived reflection issues when shooting. If you can hit your target, it's the point at the end of the day. Cardboard box is a bit of a shame as David said and I think is a good point as the market for so so 'starter' guns is competitive and a nice abs is really not too much to ask for...

Aye drop trigger was handy in the mx8 if you broke a v spring it was a quick change. Them coils will last longer than the gun
Take the trigger out,if it gets stolen it can't be used
I do find this channel to be bias towards their own brands however I do agree, ATA should be offering this with an abs case if it is a ‘pro’ offering. I have a super sport ata and didn’t like the fact it came in a cardboard box, regardless of price.
You can only have external chokes on a single barrel shotgun!!!!!
Who cares what box they come in, 90% never use the box, not a bad gun, the turks offerings all come with lots of high end options. But ata for me I can' get past the disasterous mid rib design and the fact the lower barrel breach face isn't flush to shell, for that money i'm going second hand mk38 7 days a week
Welcome to what it's like in America. A $4000 Browning comes in a cardboard box. Unacceptable. Cardboard boxes just cheapen up the whole experience.
Yildiz pro fantastic quality much better than the ATA Pro

Yes I agree with you different price points but also the yildiz is by far better made than ATA. Please David can you do a review on a yildiz pro special with hand engraving on the Action. Thank you
Greetings 🙏 from Hellas. Ata has proven itself a true workhorse and a value for money gun. It's a Beretta 680 series clone and that's a fact. Not bad at all. It's an honest buy that will not dissapoint you in any way. For sure is a gun for starters due to its low price but at the same time it multiplies its value because of its robust construction and reliable mechanism. I'd prefer a 20 gauge as a personal choice. It won't make you a champion but it'll give you a great start. A gun that you can trust. Thank you!
