I hook.the hammock to the same exact spot on the synthetic winch rope. So it sits/hangs at the same exact tightness every single time. I did this to easy the set up and also saw that some had their hammocks rip due to pulling against the tightness of the hammock. This should not happen if you have the center rope in the hammock adjusted right. But using only one rope to hang your hammock from has proven to be quicker set up and take down. A good and thorough review. The upgrades were also useful. I will use a 10x10 tarp and a better pad system instead of those issued wih the hybrid. One tip:go to the area underneath each end of the tarp and follow the ridgeline inwards to the space just before it meets the very end of the shelter. Now tie pardacord, extra shoestrings, rope, or other forms of useful cordage with wicking properties down from the ridgeline. Keep the ridgeline exposed on the inside to space it slightly away from the hammock itself. You can also use a rubber gasket, piece of plastic wrap or some other waterproof material on the inner side to stop water flow there. You can even place a small sponge bead and gasket there after that, if you wish. It's a great way to store your cordage keep it dry and ready while you're at camp too. Tie this cordage loosely in the middle from the ridgeline just beyond the tips of the hammock and let the ends hang down loosely. The cordage will collect the extra moisture trying to drip into the ends of the structure and move it safely away from your shelter. Repeat this procedure on the other side and water getting in from the ends themselves shouldn't be a problem anymore. Another tip:wrap sticky tape around the ridgeline at both ends of the ridgeline, upper tarp lines, and all hanging support lines and now crawling insects can't get to your hammock directly from the tree stalks anymore either. This trick reduces insects to those that either fly or fell on the structure from above, dramatically cutting back on the creepy crawlies as a whole. I hope this all helps and keep up on the great reviews. Cheers
