Wacom Bamboo Stylus fineline for the iPad unboxing

This is a high-precision iPad stylus that is integrated with some apps such as Bamboo Notes for pressure sensitivity/palm-rejection and is slated for more app integration in the future. It will work with other apps not integrated via API but some of the features like palm-rejection/pressure sensitivity will not work at the time of this unboxing. Handwriting and doodling are great with this pen and it is a competitor to the Jotscript and other stylus in the market. Currently, about $60 bucks plus tax and shipping depending on where you get it. Use with an iPad 3, iPad 4, iPad mini, iPad Air or newer model.

I purchased the Stylus Fineline a couple of days back and quite happy with the performance of the pen.The best thing I like about the product is its thin tip which just gives me a pen to paper feel.I had purchased it more for annotations purposes and the device serves my purpose completely.

  • @papatechie

This one was to compete against JotScript Evernote but with sketching and some pressure sensitivity. The creative stylus 2 seems to be geared towards competing against the Adobe ink and slide or Adonit jot touch pixelpoint for the more serious artist.

I purchased it yesterday and returned it today and got my money back, i tried it with iPad Air2 , iphone6 and old iPad3 Retina As well, this product SUCKS that much that i almost called it my tech-Disspointment of the year 2014. So expensive product does nothing at all, it even missed most of the time on all devices on several diff apps. WACOM sucks.

Interesting results as Steve Jobs never intended the iPad to be used with stylus these companies are pioneering new smart blue tooth technology to add touch and precision. Results will vary I imagine but the price point of this stylus is the lowest compared to others in the same realm. If you are a serious artist perhaps the Adobe Ink and Slide or the Adjonit Pixelpoint would suit you better; but if you are just a scribbler maybe this or the Evernote Jot Script would do. If you are just not into Bluetooth then no digital stylus will suit you but check out mesh tip stylus non-bluetooth they glide better.
