If the case is over 5mm, it will not work or slowly.

Some of the audio was muffled so it was difficult to make out what was being said. Sounded a bit like the mike was being covered occasionally. With the issue of the leather case stopping the device from working, could it be that the leather case has some metal in it for strength that may have been affecting it's ability wireless charge? It would be great if you have a USB voltage/current display available so we could see how much current it manages to transfer. That would also be handy to work out what distance the receiver and transmitter can operate over. Was it the separating distance that stopped the leather case from working or something to do with what the case was made of. Apologies if these questions were answered in the video but i wasn't able to get everything that was said due to the muffling.

No. The device stops charging. With moden stuff the charging circuit is inside the device - the power supply is a constant-voltage, constant-current USB power supply.

zapro_dk will this charge to 100% seeing all the QI stuff is for 1000mah batteries hence iphone. The iPad mini is around 5000mah depending on 1-4 model. He shows 100% but he coulda only been down 5% battery...

Don't know

It outputs 1000mA, meaning it's intended for charging a phone. An Apple iPad charger outputs 2100mA. 1000mA will charge an iPad, but extra slowly.

You are wrong ,use meter Usb and see you iPad charging 1.5 A

Put those harddrives on the background to sleep before you start filming. It's more annoying than an earth loop buzz. But the charger seems like a good product, think i will order one too. Getting sick of all those 10 and 5% battery messages while watching KZread ;)

I've got a self charging (home) iPad. It's called my computer hooked up to a LCD.

That hum is very annoying.
