You really need to watch this film to get the full picture of just how well Heath Ledger played the Joker, there has never been a better portrayal of joker ever IMO.

If you didn't grow up in the 60's and 70's you wouldn't understand Free Love. We didn't worry about this. These were the best years to be alive. And the best music.

The guy that George was playing against is Bo Didley. Bo Didley invented rock and roll.

thing to remember is that all thorogood's good songs are covers of classic blues artists. his originals are good, but nothing you'll still be hearing outside a thorogood show.

one of the hardest basslines to play. that constant repetitive finger motion takes massive hand strength to get through without cramping up. just doing the same thing over and over takes a toll. the only thing worse is "i gotta get outta this place."

As a young fella I moved back to the city of my birth in '79, Winnipeg (Manitoba; in Canada 🙄😆), to continue my education after a few years of other adventures. At that juncture of history I had actually been granted rare work experience, for back then, with video and audio, as I'd worked at an early experimental Saskatchewan cable network for a bit; at one point I'd been granted a press pass and was able to videotape Queen Elizabeth, when she visited Moose Jaw, from literally four feet away; had just turned 20: cool birthday present! So, I planned to go back to school and I was certain I'd be able to support myself while going to university. The first thing I did once I was accepted to the University of Manitoba (I wasn't worried; I know it sounds like bragging but based on academics I knew I was a shoe-in) was to apply for, and accept a part-time job with the Audio-Visual Department. LOL. I kinda surreptitiously had to teach myself how to run actual reel-to-reel film equipment (I sorta fibbed 'bout that part of my work background), but that was ridiculously easy; had it mastered in 10 minutes. Anyway, I also made connections with the student newspaper and radio station, and because I'm fairly eloquent, and I guess I have a decent voice, I got to do some radio stuff. So I settled into a comfortable university life. Now, the crux of my story: In early '81 I got to meet, and interview, Harry Chapin a few months before he died, which, when I learned of the tragedy, led to one of the saddest episodes of my life. But I've been encouraged to continue hobbling through existence by remembering that we'll get together then. 🥲 Not sure why I told you all that other stuff but it's how I got to where I was.

They wanted their cut in every state for truckers driving through.. so they put in weight stations in order to assess tax (for lack of a better term) on every truck load. If a convoy came through they couldn't stop them all it was just logistically impossible..

Janis who was from a little town not far from here called Port Arthur, Texas, was shamed by her town folks for being crazy and shunned her. But when she left and made it big they started bragging on her and even made a statue in the center of town of her. She called them out on a talk show on national TV and said she was going to go back home just to show them what they lost and called them hypocrits basiscally.

You're right about multiple attackers waiting their turn. I've been attacked by multiples 3 times in my life. First time police saved my life as the first punches were thrown. Second time they were dummies and ACTUALLY TOOK TURNS attacking me, which is how I survived (I have a martial arts background). Third time... they attacked my friend, I went for the attacker, and then before my fist could withdraw, 4 fists from the side connected with my face at about the same time. On video my head bobbled around as they kept hitting me, I had no chance of recovery, then a fat one sucker punched me from the side and I fell down. Still looking for that fat guy. But where was I. Oh yeah. The scene is beautiful in cinematic sense, and in emotional sense, based on what happened before... but it's absolutely not realistic, because they do wait their turn constantly.

It's not white privilege, it's soul in a white body. If you watch her documentary it shows how amazingly open minded she was and she wasn't about color, she was all about the blues and how artisticly she could relate to pain through her music and that's why she captivated so many ❤❤❤they don't make 'em like that anymore
