    Perhaps, though in the business world strategies are long term, tactics designed to help us reach them in the medium term and operational makes up the short term activities on a day to day basis.

    What is measured can be improved upon. I have a 10 year goal plan broken down year by year. My goals have milestones that I want to achieve on a regular basis. This helps to keep me on track to get to the big complex goals that are in 2 or 3 + years. Nominating an accountability buddy helps you to stay focused to strive to the goals as well. As long as you have a clear WHY to your goals it will help you to stay motivated to the reason you have them in the first place. Thanks for sharing.

    @@SchoolofLearning I use a super simple process that I have learned and adapted from Brian Tracy and Jim Rohan on goal setting. I simply wrote down everything I wanted to achieve for a number of different categories such as wealth, family, community, health, personal, work/business. It was a decent list. I then created a table for each year over the next 10 years and identified what was realistic to complete over the next year , 2 years, 3 years and so on. I broke it down to one year per page. Some pages had 5-6 things that were in the next 1-2 years to 1-2 goals in the next 7-8 years and so on. On those pages I provided my deadline, I identified what resources I would need and a section of what I need to do to achieve that goal - essentially mini milestones. It took me a little time to do it but it’s worth it. As a result I have a better relationship with my wife and kids, I’ve completed some courses that I wanted to complete. It’s helped me to improve my income, made me more accountable and allowed me to celebrate my small wins to keep me motivated. 🙂

    A strong HR Manager becomes an important key in this area for larger organisations, but sometimes this can be challenging for smaller organisations where roles are intertwined and shared. In this situation it’s important to get the onboarding right to allow staff to be part of the team from day one, as this sets the organisations expectations from day one. Thanks for sharing.

    I try to grow my traffic through organic traffic rather than paid. I think whatever means you use, it’s important to have content that brings value to your audience through maybe a lead magnet where you can capture email addresses. Using social media is like renting a house, you don’t own it and if the landlord wants you out what then? When you have the ability to capture email from your social media efforts, this allows you to own the house because no matter what changes in the algorithms you still have access to your audience 😊. Great tips and explanations.

    Good tips here. I was fortunate enough to learn about the points mentioned when I studied logistics and then later went into an MBA program. I highly suggest to anyone that has just been promoted to supervisory or middle management to undertake some form of personal development, to understand how to select, capture, analyse data to make informed decisions. It will help you in your current role and help you to progress further into senior management. I’ve been an old school user of MS Excel and now there is power BI and other tools to use and learn from, that incorporates AI. Thanks for sharing.

    Gen z, I believe is the more conscious buyer these days when it comes to integrity and trust. This generation does a lot of their own research and if your brand is damaged they are less likely to buy, affecting the sustainability of your business.

  • @SchoolofLearning
    @SchoolofLearning8 ай бұрын

    As tech natives they are more comfortable for sure. I do think though as the generations before being tech immigrants have not done enough to support their development or help refine the process to help gen z make truly conscious decisions. Gen z are great at finding things, though not so good at establishing the validity of it. But it's a work in progress, and I'm sure what gen z learns will feed into the learnings of those who come after :)

    I would write it down as a goal for the upcoming year. I like Jim Rohans philosophy on setting goals, I try to work on this philosophy. I like to do these reviews in December and aim to complete 1-2 and if possible 3. You need to find the balance between work and life. If you have more time go for it but as a family person I not be able to do more than 2.

  • @EWBAustralia01

    A good tip here is, every year you should do a stocktake of your technical skills to identify where you are at and what the company wants in the future. You sometimes need to invest in yourself to improve those technical skills to increase your potential income. A rule of thumb is to invest 10% of what you earn on personal development per year. Don’t be afraid to talk to your manager to identify what their future goals are for the organisation to identify any areas that you may need to develop to meet that goal. It makes you more valuable and harder to replace in the future. 🙂

  • @SchoolofLearning
    @SchoolofLearning8 ай бұрын

    Very true, reflecting and investing in yourself is vital for continued growth and development! would you do this formally and write it down or informally in your thoughts? 🤔

    imperfect competition 1. monopolistic competition = there are many suppliers and the barriers to entry are very low and suppliers get advantage price by differentiate their products from other similar products such as beauty make up it is only possible when differentiation is significant or if the suppliers ae able to convinxe consumers that the differences are significant 2. oligoploy = a markert dominate by a few suppliers, price and output by an oligoploy also based on strategic decisions for exanple a bussiness could choose to change the price on how much they produce, have high barrier entery whuch limits the number of suppliers that can compete in the markert example in particulate the manifacturing of automobiles because the fixed cost of automobile manifacturing is very very high, oil industry because there is only a few around the world that produce oil 3. pure monopoly = the pricing power lies the power in the markert itselfy, ghere is only one supplier who has significant markert power and determines the prices of its product, it has high barriers to entry such as high initial cost or because the comoanu has acuired significant markert influence for example facebook, microsoft 4. duopoly where two company has dominant or control iver the markert, in diopoly essentially have two dominant for example a smartphone markert is dioploy where apple is the one side and the androod dominate the sector

    competition with other bussiness, in competitivr market er have to fight of potential customers type of economics and markert situations 1. perfect competition 2. imperfect competition perfect competitive narkert is when the number of the buyers sand salers are very larger, all enjoy buying and selling homogenous product without any artificial restrictions or possesing perfect knowledge markert at a time a marert is equal when buyers and selers are aware of the price and which the transaction take place, and the pricr of commudity will tend to be equal everywhere for example a farmer's markert where eqch vendor sells the same typee of gem there is little dofference betwren each of their products and they use same of recipe, they sell at equal price. at the same sellers are few and free to participate in the markert without any barriers and buyers would be fully knowledgeable of the product's recipe and any information relevant to the good requored to make their decision perfect markert comptetive is several sellers selling the same thing, making the same way and selling it fot the same price

    Good content is indeed time consuming and blogging is not something I've done much off. However based on what I've researched 3-4 times a week is what one would need to do to gain traction. Though I'd recommend building up a bank of content, releasing them across a month to test the market to see what works. Otherwise 1 blog a week, for a few months just to see if you enjoy the process :)

    I recently read an article from the new Nobel Prize winning economist Claudia Goldin and her research on “greedy jobs” where you work more than your allocated times based on the job role which can lead to higher stress and impact the opportunities of women who are unable to persue those types of jobs due to family commitment. The points of stress management is very relevant in a world focussed on productivity and efficiency. Self care is vital. 🙂

  • @SchoolofLearning

    💯, if you're not taking care of yourself, it progressively gets harder to help others. Not to mention a lot of organisations/management are not well prepared to recognise and help those who are stressed.. I think it's the fact that the effect of stress creeps up and compounds over time, as such we tend not to deal with it very well..
