    200 miles is fine if a full charge takes only 15 minutes because that means an 80 % charge would take only 5 min. Similar to getting gasoline. Most people only commute under 30 miles and most people drive less than 100 miles per day. If you are in the minority who drives more, then get another car. But there is a huge market out there for this solution. And a Cyher Cab will also fit the bill for persons not wanting ownership. As it will cost as little as 25% of a manned Uber or Taxi.

    It's time for Tesla to KISS the sky and come down to reality. Americans desperately need a nice but simple electric car. . Take the lead and see sales make unreal highs by just following the old but wise saying - "Keep It Simple Stupid ".

    Not sure what or where the spokesperson is getting their supposed expert analysis of drag and seem to be clueless as to the amount of road and parking space in Europe and other countries. Even in some American cities compact parking and street parking is tight. A smaller and therefor lighter body needs fewer batteries (cost savings), and will not be used as a family trip vehicle or heavy hauler. Notice these type of videos have no solutions to offer, just a lot of what ifs and click bait.

    With all the promises US auto manufacturing have made and broke, I doubt that there are many people are fuming about Elon not delivering the 25K car. Anybody with any sense would realized that a car price promise made in 2020 would have to be increased because of inflation. which has risen about 20%. Please advise why you did not take this into account?

    If well planned, a factory can be transported in modules using powerful airships if they are permanently installed in the roof of the factory modules. The Gigapress will probably need its own supersize airship. So you can produce in countries that pay subsidies and beg for you to come. And when the worms come to devour the factory, you elegantly take off with the fleet of airships to float to better conditions!

    You have just pointed out at the videos end what legacy mfg. and others will do to produce EV trucks, vans, box trucks, buses, etc. that Tesla hasn't yet started. I predict that once those companies get started, Tesla won't be able to directly compete, but will be able to sell FSD and associated electronics and updates to those mfg.

  • @richardservatius5405

    Take Rivian's sales of delivery vans to Amazon; With FSD the vans will be safer, the insurance costs should be less, updates easier. why wouldn't Rivian want to buy the "Franchise"???

    200 miles is way too short of distance - the Standard should be at least 400 miles per charge to compete with Ice Vehicles, just saying.

    If an owner can plug in each evening at home a 200 mile range is plenty. If you're thinking about highway miles, you should be thinking about a larger vehicle than the lowest cost Tesla should be, such as an M3 or MY. For some of us even 150 miles would be enough, again, provided we can plug in each evening. I definitely will not buy a smaller Tesla if they reduce the low roofline below that of the M3. I'd like to see a higher rear roofline to provide greater utility in the back and happily trade some aerodynamic efficiency. Something along the line of the MY roof peak carried back to an opening tailgate would work.

    For UPS, Fedex, and the USPS; could the car be programmed with all of the delivery and pick up sites and produce a navigated route?

  • @richardservatius5405
    @richardservatius540517 сағат бұрын

    could the route be determined at the depot and communicated to the next truck? A driver would still be needed for delivery/p/u. Deliveries that could not be done for the day due to bad roads, accidents, etc. could be communicated back to the depot upon return.

  • @richardservatius5405

    There are a lot of steps to take in starting a "cab" company. how will people pay, prepay probably! What if someone comes along and sits in the cab...just sits there? will the charge be only by the mile? Or also time? a traffic jam could cause a lot of time; as could an accident. No driver means leaving the scene of an accident? especially important when you consider the video that the cab will have. a drunk hailing a ride gets home but passes out in the cab...will the cab lock him in and charge for the time? or charge him for motel stay? Using the tesla app to call a cab may be too difficult for a drunk to use. If a cab rider damages the cab, will the rider be charged for $ thousands and taken to a police station? A bank robber uses a tesla cab for his getaway. The way to stop the cab is to just get in front of it.

    Consider. The avg 2-income family spends unbelievable amounts on day care. OR..... for a one-time outlay of $20,000 and voila! You have in-home daycare AND a tutor!!

    for each location that Tesla starts using robotaxis; they will need charging locations for the cabs. these chargers will have to be limited to only the company. Some of these cabs will have to be designated for specific locations; airports, railroad stations, bus stations, coliseums, malls. This will anger the human driven cabbies and sabotage may occur.

  • @richardservatius5405
    @richardservatius540517 сағат бұрын

    The violent cabbies will of course be videoed and identified. meanwhile repairs will be needed.
