Just Happened! Elon Musk LEAKED Tesla Semi Mass Production, New Super Battery & Delivery 2025 . Commercial companies are urging Tesla to speed up the Semi Truck production schedule for early delivery when the quantity has not changed from 100 units for so long.
Just Happened! Elon Musk LEAKED Tesla Semi Mass Production, New Super Battery & Delivery 2025. Production lines have also restarted and we will soon see more of these big rigs this year, the clearest sign is that Tesla is building more 750kW Megachargers despite the silly hurdles. In addition, the Tesla Semi will most likely have its battery pack changed to a battery technology being produced in Nevada, of course not the 4680.

    A lot of customers can't wait for Tesla to meet their transportation needs. I'm surprised Tesla isn't running their preproduction line at full capacity. This would lead customers to develop Tesla oriented support facilities. Once a customer who has established a relationship with Freightliner diesel trucks has a small fleet of Cascadias, it may be difficult to convince them to abandon sunk costs and convert to the company which failed to meet promised delivery dates.

Same with a lot of farms, nearest small town can be 200 to 300 miles away. A lot of these trucks have "belly tanks" in the trailers. For electric trucks to work they would need 2 spare banks of batteries at least and a fork lift to move them. Electric trucks on most of Australian trips clasifies as a big Imposible

    What is said here is already happening. Other manufacturers have different models available for different uses and adapted to different global markets and regulations. More importantly, on a web page I just checked, there is a build-your-truck button to customize many things for a specific truck I need, and when all options are selected, a list of dealers to contact to close the purchase. I appreciate Tesla's commitment, but the company is a bit late in this business. Probably, they underestimated the complexity of trucks.

    Remember the old saying “ there will be no wine until it’s time”? The delivery of semi trucks is dependent on several techs coming together all at the same time. Tesla needs to develop the right charging network, the right battery solution, the right final design and the proper manufacturing facility to bring this product to mass manufacturing. Tesla of course knows this. The pieces have been identified. Execution is now required. I suspect that Elon will bring up the pressure to get this product moving once he gets several other projects off his plate.

  • @davebrown6552

    @davebrown6552

    Ай бұрын

    Reducing carbon emissions would be catastrophic for humanity. The only significant effect of increasing CO2 has been a massive increase in crop yields. 50 years ago the planet could not feed 4 billion people with about 1 million people being killed by famine every year. Now, thanks to the rise in CO2, 3rd world crop yields have doubled, 1st world yields have quadrupled (thanks to fertilizers, and better seed weed and pest control not available to the 3rd world) the planet is feeding 8 billion people with fewer than 25,000 famine deaths per year. cutting CO2 will just cut food production and lead to the return of widespread famine. CO2 does NOT significantly warm the planet, it is a very mild radiation shield that has to follow the logarithmic shielding law. CO2 only causes 3.7W/m2 of extra shielding (0.7 degrees of warming) for every doubling of concentration. Since the beginning of the industrial revolution CO2 has only increased by 50%. even rounding up that is just 2.5W/m2. which equates to about 0.4 degrees of warming over 200 years. (use the Stephan Boltzmann equations to calculate it for yourself). To get a full degree of 'CO2 warming' compared to 1850 would require CO2 levels to be about 750ppm and to get another 1 degree of warming beyond that CO2 would need to be over 2000ppm. The climate is controlled by solar variability not CO2, put simply lots of big black spots on the sun reduces the energy reaching the surface (as happened in the 1950's when the planet cooled) When sun spot activity is low more energy reaches the surface and the planet warms as happened at the beginning of last century when America experienced the dust bowl and when we went through the latest minimum and the temperature peeked in 2012 (since then the ice sheets have been growing again) The maunder minimum was responsible for the planet warming out of the Little ice age not CO2.. CO2 is not you enemy it is what is keeping you well fed.

    Over all they do not help much, the used batteries still have to be charged eventually and there is just not enough power available. Even running at maximum capacity 24hrs non stop a town sized substation will only keep 50 or 60 (maybe 100 trucks if they are short range) operating even if the battery change was instant the bottle neck is getting the power into wherever the batteries are being charged (in or out of the trucks) count the number of truck and the size of the battery then calculate how many total hours will be needed to charge them all. if it is more than 24hrs to 'fuel' the fleet, you need a bigger substation. then you need extra capacity to account for power cuts bad weather, technical difficulties and routing delays (if all the empties arrive at once) can you charge them before the next batch of empties arrive.
