Right on🍻 It's not even having a high standard. I think that's a basic starting point that big brands need to hold themselves to.
I just got mine off of the invicta website for $222, which is a great price for what you get! I remember back in 2012, it was going for $300 to $350, but i think they were swiss made models at the time. So I received it today, and I'm amazed at the quality you get in this watch for the price. No where are we getting this movement for less than $500, let alone for less than $300 except with the pro diver. One detail that got me was the sign crown actually lines up straight when screwed down. The feel of the watch sreams quality. As for the flame fusion crystal, it's fine. I have to 2 other watches with the same crystal and never got a scratch on them. As for the mineral crystal, forget about it, their shit its scratches too easy.
I don't want pay the high prices for a metal G-shock. Got a AW-500 with jelly straps.

The feature is indeed very useful!! But this one feature doesn't make it a better watch than a G-Shock. It should also be considered that casio opted for LEDs due to the far lower power consumption. And then there is longevity. My anadigi Expedition lost its analog movement for some reason and the markers on the face are peeling for no apparent reason. So NO! Timex has to get better in more than the lighting department to beat a G-Shock.

Even Ferrari and the like has issues, yet, it doesn’t matter. You buy what you want because you can. If you have money then be happy you can afford a Tudor or Rolex. Life’s too short to worry about perfection.
@theoriginaljohngalt2450 there's perfection, and then there's easily-achievable standards. I won't tell you what the definition of those things are. I'm happy with the quality of my Tudors and that's all that matters.

I also had the SMP 300 clasp buttons fail after 2 months. Thankfully the staff at the boutique were super humble and helpful and fixed it in less than 40 minutes. Still, they should do better QA for that money.

Value is so subjective so I can't speak for everyone. I do think that everyone should get what they pay for regardless of subjective value.
