Have the black dial on an expresso leather strap and it’s been my daily watch for nearly a year, absolutely love it!

For me, if I could only have one watch for around $200, this would be at the top without a close second. And with a sapphire crystal and new bracelet, it’s almost the “perfect watch” for me. Thanks and without climbing too far up in your ass, your views on this watch is a perfect summation of it.

I don't have a dressKX but I did pick up a SRPD version of the Seiko 5 last week. I guess same watch with a rotating dive type bezel. I am actually wearing it today. Being an enthusiast it is rare for me to wear the same watch two days in a row so I find now that mechanical watches I have shunned in the past have an appeal because they don't require batteries or battery changes, Because I only wear them a day here and there the having to update the time every few days to keep them within my preferred accuracy range never has a chance to bother me. I say all that to say I really like this Seiko and even some of the older Seiko 5 series watches. I am no diver so 100m of water resistance is fine with me and not having to screw down a crown does not bother me. It looks awesome and runs well enough for my. purposes and it is just solid.

Well done, couldn't tell if it was a modded watch or came out of the factory like that 👏 At first I really wanted to get into Vostok modding but with the current situation I swayed towards the Seiko mod direction. Many more contemporary options to choose from on the Seiko route but Vostok has some outlandish vintage designs. Will have to try it out someday.

Totally agree with your comment about the mod support for this watch. My very first watch mod was done to my SRPE61…double domed sapphire crystal and crown with the “S” logo. I won’t let your comment about needing only low skills levels deflate the sense of pride I gained from those mods 😊 Thanks for this @degenWA…you’ve earned yourself another subscriber !

Absolutely, this DressKX has that much more meaning to me because of the work I put in to it. I only meant "low skill" to remove any fears of the possibly daunting thought of attempting to "watchmake"🍻

I think its a great GADA watch. The style is not too sporty nor too divery. Its got the right looks to be at home at the office or in the field. Cant fault that! Take care bro!

Sim buddy, how you can say ''nothing special''? It's very special I must say.....and a reason for that is in today's world of poop overpriced watches and disgusting cheapening from the watch companies that Seiko looks to me like a honest watch.....it's very legible which is starting to be a trouble in a today's watchmaking, it's just doing exactly what it should....it's telling the time is it?....and with that strap looks really good. With all my Casios and my love for Casio one of my favourite watches is my Marathon GPQ 34 mm....a tiny little thing, basically wiithout any WR, no ''settings'', no software, no date, nothing, just hands and the dial....never on the way but it's always somewhere around doing its thing, and it simply doesn't want to die.....when I need it it's there, waiting for me, accurate and ready.
