Cape cod cloths are amazing and do a great job. I’ve used them on any watch with minor scratches and watches that were gifted to me with minimal wear . It definitely brings watch cases and bracelets a very fresh , clean and almost totally restored look to them 👍🏻

@@Digital_Kenyes you can use on a brushed surface of the watch especially bracelets and clasps . It will give it a bit of a shine but doesn’t remove the brushed finish. Others may not agree but I totally restored a Borealis Sea Hawk using a cape cod cloth and did the same for the bracelet on my Padi Turtle 🐢.

Do these cape cod cloth work on brushed surface blemishes too ? Or only for polished surfaces ?
@degenerateWA

Polished surfaces only. If you use it to polish a brushed finish, it *will* ruin the brushing.

I got one question (which a search would probs work faster but I’m choosing comments) do I use these on brushed, polished AND chamfered?… or just polished? I got an old Skx that needs this

Cape Cod polish is soley for mirror polished surfaces. If you use this on a brushed surface *it will ruin the brushed finish*

@@degenerateWA this is important info. Thanks mate! So we just wipe brushed surfaces with normal cloth?

@@MrMuradski no worries🍻 For brushed surfaces, micro fiber for basic cleaning and grey scotch scotchbrite pad for superficial scuffs (would NOT recommend using it on sallaz/zaratsu brushing)

I just put the whole cloth in the palm of my hand a rotate the watch face against it. it does the whole bezel that way.

Ah… minimal skills and OCD, a terrible combination. Yeah I spent over an hour lessening (not eliminating) a 🖕🏼scratch in the middle of Seiko hardlex crystal. This seems to actually work pretty well and only 10 minutes? Not bad…. Thanks!
