It took much vigilance watching eBay and Reddit subreddits and Facebook marketplace but eventually (after looking for several years) I got one in really good condition for a total of $370 off eBay. You just need patience and a little bit of luck. I love it, the case size is perfect for my 7 inch wrist. Would 100% do it again

SARB033 is a watch that you wear to find out that you look at it more often to gaze at the beautiful dial and then forget to actually check the time.

In my early watch collecting years I got one (2019), but then I traded my way into Grand Seiko instead. First a SBGR053 and than to a spring drive masterpiece. However, I found that the GSs were too nice. I don´t wear suits to work. So they werent used. Then I traded them for some rough divers - but last year I got a SKX009 and the SARB033 back in the collection. It has mostly stayed in the box UNTIL a jubilee appeared in the sarb’s life. And what a combo it is! The sarb is now my best watch to wear at work. Stunning with everything!

The reason why it’s hyped back then was because of its low price for its features. I bought mine just over $300 back in 2019 brand new. Now the price is really unreasonable. But yeah if you’re a fan there really is no alternative. You can’t call it a sarb033 unless it’s a sarb033 😅

I've never done this personally, but I believe you can send your watch in to Seiko for a polishing.

It's very similar looking to my Datejust 41 that I ordered with the smooth bezel on the Oyster bracelet 👌

Well, I have this watch for a few years already, it is what it is, a watch. I ordered it on line from Japan at the time, paid only a little over Cdn$400. It is a nice watch, nothing too flamboyant, keep good time and feel comfortable. But now the price is inflated so much, in my opinion definitely not worth that much.

I have to agree. I will say a small part of me always enjoys it when a watch I already own shoots up in market value😎

If you have large wrist, and don't mind not having lume and jave 4R35, the SARY057 is similarly beautiful at a more reasonable price.

That one is beautiful. Personally I would not consider it a replacement, however that's just me and I'm a psycho. Regardless of my opinion it's undeniably a great looking watch

I enjoy everything about this watch. Size, design and simplicity. That’s why I own one. One of my favorites. But I have it on an Uncle Straps president bracelet. Thanks for sharing the watch and your thoughts.

As the first comment said ans I agree. A well considered "review" of the Sarb. I was lucky to get mine 12 months ago for $800au in mint condition. Of course, like you, I own the SKX007.

@@respectablylate3081 that ain't a bad deal. Right around the price that I got mine for. I would say that price is the maximum it should go for in mint condition, however we all know as watch addicted degenerates there is no cap to what we will spend for our collection🤦‍♂🤦‍♂

Great watch but I prefer the SCVS003 with the lume pips on the outer edge of the hour markers and I think it comes on a more interesting bracelet. It can also still be had for a few hundred dollars less pre-owned or NOS than the SARB033.
