I bought a new tv, went from Samsung tv with Samsung sound bar, and now to a Sony tv with the same Samsung sound bar. I couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t working correctly, but then watched this video and put both HDMI connections to the eARC - boom problem solved. Thank you!
thanx dude
I have a problem, I bought a Samsung QE55QN85CAUXRU TV and I bought a soundbar from Sony G700. on the soundbar sometimes there is sound from the TV, sometimes there is no If everything works on the TV is HDMI-Earc connection, but when there is no sound on the TV screen show the connection is just HDMI and there is no way to select HDMI and Earc, as at this time display show indikation TV. and every time for the soundbar to work normally and correctly, I have to unplug it from the outlet and then plug it back in, I don’t know what to do, if you can give some advice, I’ll be gratefu. and I also do not have the Dolby atoms function active on my TV((((:
Wow. I found your video today. My sound would not come from my Sony Soundbar when I turned on my Samsung TV and the Sony Soundbar. I unplugged the tv and the soundbar for 10 seconds and plugged the tv in first and then the soundbar and there's sound. Thank you so much!!
Thank you for this video. How frustrating this all is, I hope it’s easier to do this soon.
My problem is hdmi cable faulty. I change it n it's work
Optical solved all of my arc reliability issues. Maybe in another 10 years arc will be ready, but it clearly is not there yet.
First person to tell that the HDMI goes into the out port,I.ve sent 3 hours on U tube and Roku chat to no avail , You had me up and running in 2 minutes Thank you very much
I was told that under no circumstance you should place your sub under the couch or in obscured places as it interferes with the distribution of soundwaves. What do you think about that?
The stream platforms now have also Dolby Atmos
My Bluetooth keep disconnecting and goes off after every 15 to 20 minutes of connecting to LG soundbar , please help me fix it
I have soundbars with Dolby Atmos in 5.1.4. But I have a ceiling fan in the middle of my room and I have short ceilings . So I can’t really tell the difference I think the fan is messing with the audio waves somehow maybe I am wrong. I don’t know.
Just want to drop a thank you for this video. Unplugging all HDMI, powering off, then reconnecting solved my Roku and LG soundbar issue.
Hey- I can cast some apps like hotstar, Netflix and prime , KZread but not jio and sonyliv
And for a corner TV as is normal in U.K. ?
You really need to pause a little betwixt sentences as you talk so fast. Also, CEC is not always a good thing, I had to disable it on my TV as every time I switched on my Manhattan PVR it switched on my TV (as I want it to do) but it also then switched on my AVR which I didn't want as I rarely watch TV via the AVR.
I cannot get chromecast to appear on my Kajabi course no matter what I try. Any help would be appreciated
I can't find my remote to my soundbar and I pushed the wrong button on my soundbar. Right now my Bluetooth is blinking what do I do next?
Unplugging my tv for 10 seconds actually helped with my wifi bandwidth problem with my sound bar 🙌🏼
Thank you!! I spent hours on this headache. You’re video holed a lot
I used to sell both, and they (both of them) are very good systems. However, I found the Bose to be more musical and warm, Sonos is good for movies. If you sync the sound according to your room, either one will work fine.
JBL is noticeably the best sound of all three
The rear speakers use wires?
Thank you, sound bar working now🤗
2x4 jim dugan 😂😂😂
36 inch Bluetooth for me cellphone hahaha 🤣 imagine 5aking it on the public bussing 😂😂😂like 80s boom box
Leaving mute telly and bar there freeing self frim it awl 😂
Imagine that a sound device thats comes mute 😂 second x going through this first the celly now the telly 😂if im to actually pull that TV out to look and see what HDMI it to be paired with im just moving out 🤣😭😆😂
I have a question. It would be good if you explain it in detail. Why the sound output is always low when we connect a soundbar with an HDMI arc.Possible answer is the preout volt is low in tv.But need clear explanation as no one is talking about it till now.
I ordered the Sonos arc and the Bose Ultra. I have send the Sonos back and decided to keep the Bose. Better sound. Bluetooth. For my opinion better Design. And I like that it have a physical remote.
I bought the sonos arc mostly over a couple of bad experiences with durability with expensive Bose products. The arc was disappointing at first and about to be returned until I added a Gen 1 sub gifted to me by my brother who hated the deep base. The sub brought the arc to life so I quickly added the surrounds.
An extra step to try that fixed it for me: Enable HDMI CEC in your TV settings. Explanation (from what I can tell, I found out about all this while troubleshooting): HDMI ARC is different than HDMI eARC. ARC was introduced in 2009, eARC (an enhanced version of ARC, hence the 'e') was introduced in 2017. Your TV/soundbar may support ARC but not eARC. The main difference seems to just improved audio quality due to more bandwidth. However, ARC requires HDMI CEC, a standard to support electronics controlling other electronics over HDMI. eARC does not. Although it seems that some TV models will allow you to use ARC while CEC is turned off. Apparently having CEC on can cause some issues like the TV unexpectedly turning on/off or switching inputs. Your mileage may vary. Hope this helps!
i have sony ht-s700rf and its getting stuck at please wait. after some time it does display the current mode like tv usb bt etc. but no audio and even turning volume up and down is very slow it takes over a minute to process all the inputs, even so I manage to reset it by pressing key combinations it shows (init) and then it work fine like new but just after 10 to 15 minutes or so the ui gets stuck (there is sound) but I cant turn the volume up or down. I called the sony guy and even he wasnt able to identify the problem and there are no forums that can help me in this regard. If you happen to know how can I fix this issue please help me. thanks a million.
If customer service is at the top of your priority, avoid getting Sonos.
1:45 THIS. My TV (modern) has only 4 HDMI ports and it's just not enough. Don't want to have to use 1 for the soundbar thus leaving me with 3.
Your the fucking man!

HELP ! I have a 2019 LG webOS TV SJ8500. I connected the Roku stick to an HDMI port but my sound is not great on streaming apps (AppleTV & Max) and I can barely hear the dialogue from the background music on the show. So should I connect the Roku stick to the HDMI ARC port ? Will that give me better sound ? Or is the ARC port ONLY for soundbars and external devices ? The Sound Out setting on the TV is currently on "Internal TV Speaker + Audio Out (Optical)". This is TOO MUCH for me to understand !!
Try audio Out (Optical/Hdmi arc) instead of Internal tv speaker + Audio Out optical
None worked for me. I got a Google tv and a factory reset did the trick
I still have some DTS movies and they sound better than many of these Dolby Atmos.
I like bose, there systmes my be compareable to the sonos ones, but what sonos cannot beet is bose's customer service (in the uk atleast) i have been in contact with them a couple times, they always fix my divices for a resonable fee and give me extended warrenty, the bose team are really proffesoanl and the who prossess is just smooth overall, gonna be purchasing the bose ultra soundbar, 700 surround sound speakers and a bass module 700 for my home thetere room, i know they will not disapoint
