My sony tv. Turns on bu than it become double image thna slowly turns black. Dimming . Than totally black and have sound only. When i restart same thing happens.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I love “solar envy,” I’ve never heard a term for what I suffer from! You are an absolute inspiration, this is beyond cool. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for watching!
I am very happy to meet this lesson !!!!!! can I ask one question only FR ? is there a possibility for cracking on the screen glass with out external impact ? if your replay is yes , pls , explain me the invisible engineering that cause to cracking on glass of LEd / LCD Tv screen . Thanks ! stay well .
This project shoud make shut up "law of physics" people 😂
❤- Now if we can keep Trump out of Office- we can all go Solar- 😊
i can live with 3kw system. but it need battery when it is no sun. but that make no profit. During the day it produces 2.5-3kw.
YT put this video on my homepage and I clicked it on the fly. I do swear I think this is the exact model of my TCL Roku TV! Mine died about a month ago. The backlight works, the sound works but the image just won't show. It's all black. I haven't been able to afford a new TV yet so I've just been sitting here all on my lonesome with no TV in a quiet house for a month. hahaha. After watching this.. I'm real tempted to crack 'er open and give it a go! Can't possibly do anymore damage than is already done. LOL. Does the tape just stay inside the device? It won't cause problems? Would electrical tape work better? 😊 Thank you for your video!!
Give it a try. The most fragile part is the lcd screen. Keep it unplugged when you work on it. It won’t cause problems because you are preventing electricity from reaching parts of the lcd panel (theoretically the part that has the electrical problem and causing the screen to be blank). You don’t even need tape (you could cut the ribbon, for example), but scotch tape is the easiest method because you need to do some trial and error.
This guy is losing out big time. He sure is giving back
You don’t understand 1-1 net metering. Watch my videos on great of an investment this has been.
Grid tie you will get pennies on unused power. The best way is to have 40/ 350 watt panels & tie into inversters & a big 30kw battery bank. Store your power to run everything at night & day👍keep what is yours & don't give away a nickel. Miroinverter isn't the answer. I know😢 But I do pull most of I can but still losing around 250 to 300 kwh back to the grid. Make sure the inverter you buy has the programming capabilities you need so your not having to do manually.👍
where was this video when i started my diagnosis it would've saved me alot of headache, i already got myself to a working image but was looking for an explanation on how important it is to only block a single contact. Looks like i got myself a great 50 inch LG with full local dimming, for free. Found it by the side off the road and saved it from the ewaste pile
Congratulations on the fix and the new tv!
@@FrugalRepair thanks for the kind words and all the useful information, turns out I only partially fixed it, I checked out your other video on reflowing the cpu and i think i might have to do that. After testing it and trying to find out the pins it seems the tv starts working again, causing me to think i fixed it, but this was purely because I left let the TV warm up. Watched a few hours on it yesterday(with no issues) and this morning it no longer turned on. I was thinking that letting it warm up was the cause of the fix I tried heating up the mainboard heatsink with a hair dryer and it worked a lot better than before I did that. Letting it sit overnight and i am going to try the same thing again in the morning, if that fixes it again its not a fluke. If I could have you opinion on this I'd greatly appreciate it, I uploaded a 10 second clip on my channel.
hi my tv has only 1 ribbon that goes to the screen. jvc has line help
Awesome video!
Thanks for watching!
what if the grid is down
If you only have grid-tided inverters, then, because of the safety standard, they have to shut down if they do not detect the grid.
Very nice, thanks for the explanation. When in self consumption mode, is there a way for the enphase app to show the input from the anker battery ? I am guessing it will show no input from the grid when you ac couple
Thanks. I’m not sure I understand. I don’t understand why the micro-inverters would take an AC input. They need to detect the grid voltage for UL1741. If your solar point of connection is in the panel (backfeeding a breaker) then you should be able to connect the Anker CT sensor to monitor solar output. Hopefully it would match what the emphases app says is the output. Did that answer your question?
@@FrugalRepair almost. The installer came said that apart from the CTs, the micros need some power as well. I know that I ll be able to monitor, solar, grid and battery from the Anker app. But when the F3800 try to offset the house load there wont be anything coming from the grid. Hence the enphase app would show no grid consumption (which is true). I was wondering if there is a way for the enphase combiner box to take input from -any- battery maybe through another CT so that it shows all 3: grid, solar, battery. Thanks!
If the output of your combiner box is being backfed through the breaker then when the HPP+F3800 is backfeeding power to the main panel, the enphase micro-inverters will think that is the grid. I don't have enphase so I don't know if they offer other sensor monitoring options than what they have inside the micro-inverters themselves. If you have any more HPP or solar related questions post them as new comments (it's easier for me to notice new comments than replies - which I might miss).
@@FrugalRepair Agreed, they ll think it's the grid and keep the solar coming. Thanks a lot!
Where did you order the screen from? Would it work the same for a Vizio tv?
You mean the power supply? I got it on ebay
Thank u soooo much! it worked perfectly!
Congratulations on the repair!
Woooo.. LG CHINA🙄🤔🤔🤔🤔
In the USA, do you need a permit to build on your private property? Do you really have private property?
What’s wrong with canned soup.
I was able to get mine to work, but it ended up breaking again a few weeks later, in conclusion, don't buy visio
Great video, THANK YOU. I saw a neighbor throw out a 75” TCL 4K tv and took it home to repair. Thanks to your video I now have a fully functional 75” Roku TV. It was a challenge getting to pin 9 out of 60 and I bought a magnifying headset and some special tweezers/exacto set for about $25 but that was it along with scotch tape. Thanks again!
Amazing! Very clear explanation. Thank you for the quality information.
Thanks! Glad it was helpful.
One idea is a list of supplies and costs
Homie, you re a awesome person. Im a 34 yo biologist and is sad for me how people just dont aprecciate the importance of information and science. Thanks so much for spreading the culture of learning and information in this era of dumb people. Greetings from Mexico best wishes to you homes 🤙🏾🇲🇽
Thank you for your encouragement!
@@FrugalRepair one question, the repair with the tape on the pins works on tvs that only have 1 ribbon cable? Could you give me some advice about that please?
My other tv stopped working after lightning one day as well but I can’t fix it because I got rid of it. But in case my new TVs break then I’ll watch this and save it to my playlist.
I recently ordered the new Delta Pro Ultra from EcoFlow, but I'm having a frustrating issue. They sent me the inverter but not the battery, and to make matters worse, they charged me for the full unit. When I emailed them to ask about the missing battery, they informed me that the batteries for this unit are out of stock and won't be available until mid-July. However, when I called their customer service number, I was told the batteries would be in stock in early July. These conflicting dates keep me stuck with a Delta Pro Ultra and no battery indefinitely. Adding to my frustration, their website still allows people to order the kits and the batteries as if they're readily available.
That is frustrating! Hopefully the battery will come sooner than you expect. If you want to shoot me an email, perhaps I can ask on your behalf.
On my tv, it has sound, the V light comes on and goes off when you turn it on. You can see the "no signal" on the screen with the flash light. T conn board or led's thank you, Walt
If you can see with a flashlight then the led backlight is out. That’s what you need to repair
I unplugged the t conn board and I get no change from either plug. I guess the t conn board is bad
I checked the resistors, they all ck good
The music junked another video 👎👎👎👎👎💩💩💩😬
All said and done at the end of the day it’s just a glorified battery! 🤩🔋🪫😳
One hurricane and your roof is gone.
@FrugalRepair did you ever face a screen where the 4 cornors are bleeding red but when watching a movie everthing gets covered based in the scene and the bleeding screen gets coverd up like its not even there
I’ve seen solarized images, not sure if that’s the same you are describing. I would try this isolation technique and see if it’s the lcd panel at fault. Next I would suspect the tcon board.
This guy used your footage for his video, not sure if you know or not kzread.info/dash/bejne/o4Ssw7yLXainZLw.html
I apologize but I didn’t understand the $.47 per Watt Hour for the cost…
@@scooterbananas Right after you sugma
@@scooterbananasRight after you sugma
Sorry if I did not explain that well enough. This is a way to compare costs with other full battery systems like a Tesla Powerwall. So you add up the cost of the whole system and divide by the amount of storage (watt-hours). The $.47/wh I mentioned is after the 30% fed credit. My estimate is for all of the equipment that I had in the video (15.36KwH) but does not include labor. Let me know if you have any more questions.
Hmm. I like the time off use feature. I wonder how much money is save vs not seeing this up.
Everyone has to do the math to make sure the cost savings and payback period is good for them when using getting batteries for TOU savings. The auto-transfer for power outages is great too so you have to put your own value on it. Let me know if you have other questions and I'll try my best to answer.
I like your content! I have tried fixing my TV with tape as you mention and it did worked! I still have 4 horizontal lines but I least I can watch tv almost normal! you same my wallet! Cheers! 🍻
Congrats! Thanks for watching.
Broke my tv over a fking game😭😭😭
I’m not sure I’ll finish the video. But I hope he mentioned, not just what he’d save in the electric bill, but by doing this himself.

What about connecting anker solix x1 anker smart panal connecting like tesla powerwall 3 will work
I just put out a video on installing the Anker Home Power Panel.
Im surprised Ive never seen anybody just use the panels themselves for the roof instead of tiles, would make for a very clean look! I can imagine its to do with regulation.
Thought you were the guy from impractical jokers lol
You gotta know something about mechanics......seriously , what the hell is a " junky vacum"?? 3:29
Thanks for the video.. At the 4 minute mark, you mean horizontal lines not vertical right?
Meanwhile in Australia it's completely illegal to even change a PowerPoint or light switch yourself lol
i have an enphase solar 11.8kw array, will this work perfectly fine without issues?
It should work just fine. Where is your solar point of connection? If you are backfeeding through a breaker(s) it should be easier to get the current sensor (CT) on the one 120v leg. If you are like me, with a line side tap, it may be a little more of a challenge getting the CT on one of those wires because of where they are located.
@@FrugalRepair I also have an Enphase array and my connection is on the opposite side of my home next to the meter. I am considering running a homemade extension cable up and across through the attic to the HPP I am going to locate next to my electrical breaker panel. I have seen some posts on the F3880 community that talk about using a twisted pair cable for this extension requirement. I think this would enable connection to my whole home electrical panel and not use the critical loads' panel.
Thanks for the video. Helped me to fix my instant pot. I had different terminal which had the same issue.
Omg thank you everywhere else was saying to put it to trip A but nothing happened it was the odometer it needed to be on
All solar panels must face South and at 45 degrees angle for Optimum usage. Initial cost, maintenance (climbing the roof, cleaning, etc.) replacing batteries every 4 to 5 years, plus some electrical knowledge and codes, and all the labor involve, yup remember well.
So I have a IPS monitor with a couple of horizontal lines at the bottom. It has only one ribbon cable from the main board to the panel. I tried taping some parts of it but I only get black screen then. Is it possible to fix it with tape? Maybe should I have to just tap on the pin corresponding to the problem? Thanks!
With only one cable going in to the lcd panel, you may not have redundant row signals to block. Or at least not easily. There may be row signals being sent from each side of the panel but my guess is to block one side you may need to physically cut into the driver board then solder back the lines you don't want to block.
