LFP or LiFePO4 battery chemistry has some great benefits. You get many more cycles at a small cost of weight and energy density versus a typical NMC battery. I like that I can use mine every day and not be worried about longevity.

Is UPS function permanent or eventually it will fail? I read from somewhere that these device is not a pure UPS designed circuit.

Hi there, Many thanks for the great video. You mentioned that you charge the PowerHouse 535 woth Solar Panels. May I ask what Solar Panels they are and what the maximum possible wattage is? Will any work and what type of adapters are needed? Hoping tp use the 535 in our camper so would be looking for a foldable solarpanel tp use with the 535.

Thanks! I typically have been using a 100w panel. You need to make sure whatever panel you get can eventually turn into the 8mm plug the 535 uses. I have adapters that I use depending on the panel. The max input of DC on the 535 is 28v and 10a with a 120w max. So 120w is the most you’d get from a solar panel. Just make sure under those limits and you can use whatever panel you want.

oh God.. at 3:37 of this video, did you charge it in the snow? I guess the temp of the unit on that day was above 32F or 0C during charging, right? Or Anker got self-heating feature built-in in these power stations?

No, it was above freezing outside. Even if it was close, one the unit is charging the cells warm up.

Those are pretty sweet. If your able to. You should request them to make/install a plug in for a set of jumper cables. O will it run a coffee pot

Adding jumper cables would be cool. But I don't know that's feasible with these type of batteries due to the high amp need (plus extra circuitry). You could use it to charge your car battery if it was dead though. It could run a small coffee pot if it was under 500W of power draw.

@@FrugalRepair cool that's pretty good then coffee pots are the hardest thing to run I wasn't sure about a old school kind but thought maybe one of those single cup ones. And duh I should of know that with the jumper cables heck my dakota requires like 300 ta 400 cranking amps. But like ya say a small charger would work. Thanks for taking the time to get back to Me I'm sure your busy 😊😊👍🍻✌

Our smelter wants all those throw away batteries, we melt them down instead of burying them.

@@FrugalRepair Zinc / steel, i'm not sure on the metallurgy of it all but, free zinc and steel all help in the smelter, we also throw on the old tube TV's all broken up, We are a lead smelter so there is recoverable lead and the glass adds to the silica. Its a complicated mix of concentrates that goes in the throat of the blast furnace. We recover copper gold heaps of silver zinc lead and of course... Sulphur, we make and sell white nasty acid, which goes into making of all things fertilizer amongst other things. I can work in a few different plants, I make Demineralized water, we use mega of that for the copper plant and site boilers. next plant, our copper plant recovers about 20 tonnes a week when the cell floor is running around 20,000amps and copper in solution is around 50 grams per litre. The last plant I operate is a PETs plant, process effluent treatment, adding sodium sulphide to remove heavy metals and ferric chloride to remove arsenic and release at times 200³ cubes per hour. Its one hell of a process here.
