  There's a great punishment at the end of the show where the giggling guy has to paint a bin of coal white, every piece, and he's instructed to place them all in a line across the yard while the rest of the platoon is out on PT, the private spells out "Waterloo section" with the painted coal, the Sergeant who instructed him explains that because the private hadn't followed the instruction the rest of the platoon has to paint an entire coal shed white, every single piece of coal, and line every building with the painted coal. Its like the old army expression "if it moves salute it, if it doesn't paint it white"

  They asked for heavier rounds because many of the insurgents were “doped” up on drugs. You need more stopping power when the enemy is high on narcotics.

  I'd like to see a good sense of morality in the us army that focuses on soldiers defending the constitution of the United States of America and not further raising spoiled bratty children , if they want to be spoiled, stay home and let the army build warriors.

  As a veteran myself, this is embarrassing! WTF has the Army come to? No PT, No deployment? So basically completely useless but still occupying a slot for the rank in the company! These people should have NEVER been allowed to enlist in the military. This is a disgrace!

  Women should NEVER be in a combat arms MOS! Support roles like admin, supply, etc...are where they should be. They should never be deployed to war zones, with the exception of doctors and nurses. They require different treatment and are too much of a distraction.

  The purpose of heckling and physical assault is to break you they want their soldiers to have mental grit in the battlefield. You’re going to get bombarded constantly repeatedly over and over and over. If you don’t have the mental grit you’re going to break down and if you break down the group breaks down, and when the group breaks down that some soldiers die in the battlefield. This is necessary in basic training to weed out the weak and keep the strong
