Yep. Women tend to be really competitive with one another, but in my experience, they check that behavior in public. This is a trip to see flying loud and proud sour grapes from the W.N.B.A. you know… the league that desperately needs an exciting new player! But they’re screaming the quiet part out loud… they can’t get past their own resentments or her getting all this attention. It’s sad, but totally in character for the league. They truly are a bunch of sour, entitled, obnoxious losers. Caitlin could breathe life into this sinking league, but they’d rather tear her apart from their own childish envy and extremely thinly veiled racism.

I don’t think that her team is being ignored on this comment, her team biggest accomplishment is their ability to graciously and unselfishly understand the need to support CC, to play around her and game. Furthermore, they have had the ability to score points when getting assists from her, when receiving those spectacular passes during transition etc. However we have to accept the fact that without CC, I don’t see this IOWA team getting the results they have had. And I don’t see any other star player getting those results with a team like this. As a matter of fact, all other stars decided to go big , established programs in order to improve their own chances of winning a championship, none of the other stars had the balls and self confidence to think they could help a small team like IOWA to get to NCAA Tournament finals in this fashion and consistency, just amazing

Let’s not race bait. This notion Wht players & GMs didn’t have their own biases is revisionist history. Larry Bird said he felt disrespected, when teams had a Wht guy guarding him. Bird is the one who said he used to drive to the inner city to ball with “the brothas” coming up, for better competition. People constantly talk about Stephen A saying Luka may struggle due to his lack of athleticism, but that’s what the scouting reports said. Why didn’t Vlade Divac who is from Serbia not draft Luka over Marvin Bagley 🤷🏾‍♂️ Max Kellerman told SAS on First Take, Trae Young is too small and may need to spend some time in the G-League. After both had stellar rookies season, only SAS got called racist and a hater? Why the discrepancy? It’s rooted in projection that’s why.

The WNBA players are going to put Caitlin the rookie in her place. As long as Caitlin can keep her composure, stay strong and not lose confidence, she will be okay. However, the most important peice of the puzzle is that her teammates have her back and embrace her. I think the coach will make sure there is flow to the team. I watched what happened to Sabrina, her first year. She had it rough. The coach had no spine, and didn't even know how to use the players to their potential. Many times her teammates did not pass her the ball, and it was clearly intentional at times. Then she got injured and had some time for the team to get to know her. The media really hyped her up so much that it didn't help, and she was not received well. Then she comes into the league with her signature shoe that was already going to happen with her UO close partnership with Nike. And she also came into the league with her brand already established through mentors that helped her. None of the ladies really knew her background and how all that came about. Now we have Caitlin on a whole other level coming in. The constant media attention is not going to help her with the other league players. But like any other rookie, she is just going to have to suck it up, and work her ass off to figure out how to manuever around these seasoned players.

  • @2AOnlyWay

The fact that nobody on here knows who “Sabrina” is, should be why you obviously don’t understand that this is a different player here! And she’s been under the spotlight/pressure, for a couple years now!! And also, the gap between her and other women players is waaaaay bigger than ANY male player that has entered the NBA!! So i actually think her dominance will be on display very soon in this league full of below average talent!!!

@@2AOnlyWay what I am talking about is the culture of the WNBA. Caitlin is a great player, and in some ways better than Sabrina. My point is, that everyone including the media are setting these high expectations that she will jump in to the W and play the same she did in college. That is not the case. All the professional women who play in the W will be ready for a rookie who is learning a new system, pace of the game, and dealing with the personalities of other players, teammates, and coaches. She will excel and move beyond it. She has a big weight on her shoulders, and will be scrutinized when she doesn't have a great game, and will be questioned if she can handle it. That's the way the media plays, as well as the haters. There will be players who will try to put her down, or at least challenge her with all the hype.

@@ninocrown3247 Problem is a bunch of haters (not you) say just because SC adjusted well after Clark was torching them early, suddenly now she's just an overrated choker. No, it's because SC had the #1 FG% D, holding teams to 32.3% FG for the year. So yes, Clark had a bad 10/28 (35.7%) FG night, but still managed 30/8/5 to lead her team in those categories. Let's see how that compares to how SC's D did against other star guards they faced this year, something haters won't mention: - NC St's duo James & Rivers in semis only shot 8/28 (28.6%) FG for a combined 25/3/1 with 8 turnovers in a 19 pt loss - Oregon St's von Oelhoffen in the Elite 8 only shot 3/12 (25%) FG for 8/3/5 in a 12 pt loss - Bueckers only shot 8/20 (40%) for 20/5/3 in an 18 pt loss - Hidalgo only shot 10/24 (41.7%) for 31/4/3 with 6 turnovers in a 29 pt loss So Clark wasn't the only one, plus Staley admitted that they spent a week scheming up how to stop her, even well before playing NC St. Yes, a few great guards on some of the best defensive teams can slow Clark down if they also have a good, coordinated team concept on D, like SC and UConn did and LSU last year - all of which have some of the best FG% defenses. But that's few and far between. Haters also say that Clark doesn't face good defenders/team D most of the time, which means they haven't watched shit. She rarely has a Van Lith type guarding her on an island. Clark's seen every D imaginable and had plenty of strong/fast/great defenders on her throughout her career. Just a few examples from this year: - Sweet 16, Colorado: Clark with All-Pac 12 defensive team Sherrod on her had 29/6/15 on 13/22 (59.1%) FG - at Ohio St: Clark with Big 10 defensive player of the year (and ACC DPOY last yr) Taylor on her had 45/3/7 on 12/25 (48.0%) FG. Iowa lost in OT, but Clark scored all 9 Iowa pts in OT. - vs tourney team Drake with their conference player of the yr & all-conference defensive team guard on her, plus conference DPOY at forward backing her up, Clark had 35/6/10 on 14/22 (63.6%) FG

Why is it racism when a Black player or analyst isn’t bowing down or ass kissing, a top White player? Jealously maybe 🤷🏾‍♂️ Is Diana Taurasi racist? Last time I checked she’s White. This reverse racism narrative making Caitlyn Clarke a victim, is similar to Nikola Jokic last season, with the MVP voting. Especially after Perk said the voting criteria seems to change each year, which triggered the Joker Stans and now Perk hates White people 🤦🏾‍♂️ The fragility is next level, towards anyone with Black skin, who didn’t feel he was a lock for MVP. When you look at the individual stats, defensive play and team records, this notion it was so lopsided toward Jokic didn’t make much sense. All that PER shyt is important to younger analyst. A middle aged guy like Steph A or Chris Broussard isn’t going to use PER as some primary indicator, because it only became important in the recent age of analytics. Has nothing to do to with reverse racism. No one bitched when Michael Jordan didn’t win it every year he dominated the regular season on both ends. Even after he outplayed all the ones who did win it, in the postseason like Barkley and Malone in the Finals. His PER is one of the highest of all time, btw. But with Jokic there seems to be this obsession. Now we’re seeing this with Clarke. The way some tell it in comment sections, Perk was rolling up to MVP voters homes and jobs wearing a wifebeater, holding a gun in one hand, 40 oz in the other, threatening people’s life if they didn’t vote for Embiid. White analysts (Skip Bayless) and fans have been bashing Lebron James for a decade plus, in spite of all his individual and team accomplishments. Blacks people aren’t constantly calling those people racist in comment sections. Maybe we’ll call them trolls and haters, but not racist. That’s why this prevailing narrative that Blacks are always making things racial is classic projection. I remember an azzhole Wht coworker tell me I didn’t speak to him because he was White. Yet this dude would make it a point to constantly come into the break room and bash some Black athlete or celebrity like clockwork. He was projecting. Even another White coworker who was mad cool, said dude was racist, insecure jerk. He wanted fealty and tried to use shaming tactics. Only problem IDGAF about validation or goofy azz racial peer pressure.

Iowa had no right making a run in the tourney either this year or last, never mind 2 title game appearances in a row, except that they had Caitlin. Out rebounded 51-29 today against a team with a 9 player rotation (5 players over 6’ tall one 6’7”) using pretty much the same 5 players (one over 6’ at 6’3”). You can’t teach height but they still beat last years South Carolina team that had 5 players drafted in the WNBA and 2 others that will get drafted, while being out-rebounded 49-25 was absurd. And it all happened because of the greatest individual women’s college hoops player to date (gotta see how JuJu turns out) Angel isn’t close shot basically same FG % as Caitlin this year but Caitlin shot over 500 3’s vs lay-ups and put backs.

Caitlin Clark is so good, I was legitimately upset I missed her game vs LSU. (because I was at a MLB baseball game) We kept checking the score on our phones. I made sure to tune in to her matchup vs UCONN. I've never cared about Women's basketball. 🏀 I had no interest in watching the Men's Final Four. I barely watch the NBA anymore. That's how much of a phenomenon she is.

That's one problem right here, you do not respect professional athletes who have paid their dues worked hard went through the ranks to make it to the WNBA. Every female college basketball player doesn't make it to nor last in WNBA, only a few select top tier players. Your way of thinking only pushed more problems onto Catiline, it's not her fault it's people like you and the sports channels + sports analysts you people caused this young lady problems to come in the WNBA.

What did they say racist about Caitlin Clarke? Type their name and exact comment, so I can check. Because when Blks accuse Whts of racism, we need receipts, damn near audio & video footage. If not, we’re race baiting and being a victim. Angel Reese is being subject to actual racial slurs, but Caitlyn Clarke is the victim of racism? Sure OK 👌
