How many times have NBA all stars been asked about a rookie coming in and said in effect; 'better put on your big boy pants cuz you're coming to the big time son'. But they're men so don't have to play nice and be super supportive right. It is so unladylike to chest pound and give some swag. And, what exactly did Taurasi say that wasn't true? Caitlin has to be the favorite to win Rookie of the year and I'm sure will have a huge impact on the WNBA both in revenue and how the game is played but saying she isn't coming into the league as its preordained GOAT and she'll need to step up her game over what will be a learning curve is not ripping on her.

But, now, due exclusively to Caitlin Clark, I am a women's basketball fan and I will watch the WNBA only - that is ONLY - because Caitlin has introduced me to how great the women's game can be. NOTE: it was not a WNBA player who caused me to take notice. Not one of the WNBA greats Dawn Staley, Sue Bird, Sheryl Swoopes, Diana Taurasi, or Lisa Leslie brought the women's game to my attention. NOT ONE. So I wish current and past WNBA players would accept that there is someone who is doing what NONE of them has done: attract lots of new fans to their sport. And, I can guarantee that if the pro players continue to discount what Caitlin seems to be delivering to them - no charge, by the way, they will drive away fans, drive away television audience, and drive away the potential for their league to grow and thrive.

Its sadly a womenthing. The "me me me, this other girl is so stupid, i dont like her. Look at me!" Women hating on each other is the main reason why they fail. Because sabotage is their thing. At least for a good amount of them. They could say "oh wait, there is a new girl in town and even if she is not good, we will get a shitload of new watchers? And if i beat her... this can be mine?" Naaaaah, lets shittalk her so i look bitter and to sabotage everything because it was not my idea. I'm sorry people but thats a girlthing

I think most of the WNBA players are being pretty reasonable about Caitlin and sometimes just being analytical and/or competitive and people are mad that they are not praising her to high heaven (I’m an Iowa fan, by the way). The hate is less than people make it out, in my opinion. That said, the WNBA needs to embrace her and her fellow rookies or they will blow this whole opportunity. The only reason most people know who DT, Bird, Stewart and others are is because of Caitlin and her fellow rookies who are household names as graduating seniors. If the WNBA screws up this perfect storm, there’s probably no hope for them.

He has been roughed up by the veterans so much that he got a broken jaw....BUT he pretty much fulfilled the promise. He has had to adapt to the NHL and has had to work on some things on his game. I think Clark will get roughed up and will have a learning curve but 2 months in, I think she will literally be making these veterans eat some words. Clark has raw talent that will not be denied. A black bum can hate a white dude walking down the street. That man doesn’t have power over him but he can hate. That is what racism is yet black people want to claim that they can’t be racist because they have no power which is just a flat out lie and again a lack of accepting responsibility.

Caitlin was a star that brought attention to women's college basketball, and sold out stadiums, even on away games. How many games have the WNBA players, sold out, as an entire league? Caitlin will have a tough 1st year. Support from teammates, will be one factor, and being the "target'" of the rest of the league will be another obstacle for her. GO Caitlin!!! I wish you success in your career.

The best player in the W right now is Ms Wilson for the Aces and she keeps getting better. I rather observe and see how it goes than run my mouth about something and be wrong. Saying this to say, at a collegiate level, not all players are at that level making it easier to hit buckets. That's why there's only a select few that make it to WNBA status. At WNBA level, you will run into pressure that will challenge her and will be interesting to see how she handles that pressure. Because even in collegiate pressure she folded at times.

Clark's shot off the dribble is SUPER FAST with accuracy. This is what seperates her from many female basketball players. She will immediately make an impact in the WNBA, bring relevance to the WNBA, and possibly profitability for the first time since the WNBA's inception.
