@@hottrakz because women can be connivving like that. DT is a WNBA HOFer but in those 20 years the WNBA has not made a profit because despite her greatness nobody cared to watch! The NBA has been paying alimony to the WNBA so they can play. They lose 10 million annual yet the woman want a greater share of revenue (from a losing product)!!!! Now Caitlin Clark is all getting the attention DT wants to take subtle digs at her. Why not embrace the rookie who is going to elevate the entire league and help them all get what they have been whining for for 20 years!!! More money!!!!

In 6 WNBA seasons Lexie Brown has averaged double figures once (12.4 PPG last season, 2023) Brown has career averages of 6.1 PPG 1.6 rebounds per game 1.6 assists per game 1 turnover per game Brown is a career 40% shooter from the field and 36% from 3 Brown would be lucky to carry Caitlyn Clark’s bags. All these WNBA “women” (they act more like middle school girls) are so jealous of Clark because they know that, even though Clark is going to grow their league exponentially, it’s likely not going to benefit their generation and it’s going to be the future generation that gets a higher salary, the league getting more attention and the WNBA’s reputation improving. All of that takes time to happen. These haters won’t be around to see it. The NBA equivalent of Lexie Brown is signing for the veteran’s minimum of like $3.5M for a season. Brown has made less than 10 times that in 6 years. These girls are jealous because even though the WNBA salaries range from only $74K-$98K, Clark will make millions on sponsorships alone. Instead of being happy that Caitlyn Clark will uplift their league, they’re all hating because they know it won’t benefit their bottom line, Clark will make millions while these girls will make less than most people make sitting in cubicles. It’s sad really. This will somewhat impede the league growth of the WNBA.

Caitlin Clark was at first the Canary in the Cultural Mine of WBB, now she is for the entire culture. - She and her coach and teammates did everything the right way. If we can't treat them right and enjoy the excitement and great role modeling they've given us, then we know we've gone further backwards then the time of Tiger Woods - when most of us came together to buoy him past the gatekeepers. - Besides the pettiness of the hive mind following cheap race politics and all, the national championship game was a travesty. One team is completely made up of five star players, they lose five and get five more and then "coach of the year". Nobody but homers is buying it. Five teams have won 70% of all WNCAA championships. The incredible competitive imbalance of player distribution, whether through direct collusion or lack of oversight, destroys the sport. - Clark and Iowa just showed the country that 500% more people want to watch women's basketball, but they want to watch fairly built teams with the best coaching around great talent, not a modern Red Auerbach controlling the recruiting back door. - We are about to see the biggest drop in viewership of any sports league in history. If the WNBA doesn't wake up from being angry and woke they're about to drop the biggest ball that anyone's ever dropped. - Imagine a reality where haters ruled the Magic and Bird story of inspiration.

Your statement is false. Coach Staley has been with Carolina for almost 2 decades and she BUILT her 1st championship team(2017) around A'ja Wilson(who's from Hopkins, SC). Her next natty team was recruited("The Freshies") and grew together to win the championship in 2022 as Jrs. The team this year had a few holdovers from that 2022 title team and the 2023 team that lost to Iowa in the tournament. Two of their best recruits are homegrown(Fulwiley & Watkins) just like A'ja, which is just good for ANY coach that can get the talent stay home. Then you build a team thru the portal. Cardoso: transfer, Pao Pao: transfer.. you get the point. Just because you have a great team doesn't mean you can coach them to the championship every time. Look at LSU, UCONN and hell even SC. GO GAMECOCKS!

There are 350 teams and LIke I said, only a homer cheers for a broken system that favors themselves. (Bringing up UConn, in the FF again! only makes my point). No one cares. That is why only a few million watch the gatekeeper teams play for a natty and nearly 20 million will watch an organically developed team, with a lot of talent parity, try to win - Because that is sport. - Imagine Milwaukee getting 5 first rounders this year, and next, and next. Cameron Brink might become a bust too, since she's not bulky/ big enough with the current NCAA centers, but if she becomes a 4, she's more likely to contribute. I think there are only like 4 to 5 safe bets for teams to keep their drafted players. Clark's team needs a PG and she's the only natural passing/ scoring PG that has that experience. Cordosa will definitely get playing time at center. Edwards has experience, and a couple more might be able to break the mold for their scoring potential and defensive contributions. The other players just can't score enough or do not have the experience to play the natural positions they will have in the WNBA since they didn't play those same spots in college. Most WNBA is played with post-play and have like that older style of NBA play where size is more important. Most people have gotten wise to that and will decide on the results in the training camp. Cordoza's stock rose cause she delivered in the NCAA tournament. Angel's performance in her current run showed that the shots weren't there and this isn't a good look for someone drafting her--even though she's great at rebounding. People can't play her as an undersized center, so they need her to have more range on the floor since most people have their 4 spaced a little more out there. We haven't seen Angel perform that way, so it's not expected she has that available on DAY ONE, so she'd need a lot of time to add it. Who knows how many months or years it takes to have the ability to shoot those shots in an actual game reliably... WNBA average height is 6-2, so she's losing her advantage in college against professionals like Aja and others that wouldn't really have an issue in those situations.

You are getting very offended by what others are saying. Time will tell. Kelsey Plum struggled Chamique Holdsclaw struggled. WNBA women struggle than NBA players because there is only 120 players. Most of the girls coming out get cut. Not saying that she will be cut, but she will have her struggles. Defense that picks her up early, as did South Carolina, runs her off the 3 point line and speeds her up causes problems. She will probably figure it out.

Caitlyn Clark's shooting prowess is often touted as one of her strongest assets on the basketball court. No doubt, she possesses a deadly stroke, capable of sinking shots from seemingly impossible angles and distances. Her ability to knock down shots in clutch moments has garnered her much attention and admiration. Yet, for all her shooting prowess, there are elements of her game that leave something to be desired. Clark's tendency to rely heavily on her shooting prowess can sometimes border on being one-dimensional. While she's undeniably a threat from beyond the arc, her shot selection can be questionable at times, with a penchant for taking ill-advised shots early in the shot clock or forcing up contested jumpers. Moreover, while Clark's long-range shooting is impressive, her mid-range game appears to be lacking. She often settles for deep threes rather than working to create higher-percentage looks closer to the basket. This predictability can make her easier to defend for savvy opponents who know how to exploit her tendencies. In addition, Clark's shooting form, while effective, could benefit from refinement. There are moments where her mechanics seem rushed or off-balance, leading to inconsistent shooting performances. Developing a more consistent shooting stroke could elevate her game to the next level and make her a truly unstoppable offensive force. Overall, while Caitlyn Clark's shooting ability is undoubtedly formidable, there are areas where she could stand to improve. By diversifying her offensive repertoire, refining her shot selection, and honing her shooting mechanics, she could become an even more impactful player on the court.
