Basic economics would tell you that you're in a losing profession. I look forward to Caitlin Clark and others entering the WNBA, but it's like when people are drowning and you're in the water with nothing to keep you afloat, you can only save one person for so long before they drag you under. The rising stars will have an impact on the teams they join but will eventually get dragged under by the WNBA as a whole.

It was reported this morning that Clark is already the highest paid WNBA player; and that is before she has been drafted. Her endorsement agreements, supplemental contracts with the WNBA and her salary will collectively earn Caitlin more money her first year than most WNBA players make in their professional career.

@YaBoiShining with all the talk in vid abt how she could bring ratings or how the league could reject her due to politics or racial bias, I wonder how it could play out if she isn't as great in the pros as she is in college. The whole point of this entire thread is "could". Could the ratings go up then down after she comes in? Could her legend fade once she joins a league struggling with fan interest? And as you and most other people are expecting, could she be a dominant player? What's wrong with me wondering if she could be a bust on the next level? No one seems be be asking that question.....

I appreciate your candor and research. Its refreshing, esp' with everyone pandering to feminism, race, etc.

Whatever team gets Clark may actually be able to pay their own bills next year.

Exactly. Players played like shit back then but we still call them legends. Bill Russell is very respected and he only drops 6pts a game. Idk why the WNBA can't have the same energy, they're jealous because they know people will be coming to watch the games but not for them, the people wanna watch the star. This is insane. Caitlin Clark is box office, and she got me watching women's college basketball more than the men's. I'd actually be interested in the WNBA with her, but if they sabotage her, they deserve to be paid peanuts and pushed aside.

Women would hate another women over their outfit, hair, nails…. Without even actually knowing her.

I don't know Caitlin but I now love her. Am cheering for her to succeed.

Let's just say what it is, it's mostly the black female players who don't want to see Caitlin Clark succeed. I'm black and can admit that what these former players are doing and saying about Caitlin is wrong and not needed. They are already attacking her and she's still playing at the college level and doing more than what most of them did when they played on the college and pro level. I just hope her game doesn't become trash when she moves to over to the pros.

I agree 100% with your video. Caitlin Clark is poised to be the face of the WNBA and will transcend the game. But the OG's and woke folks of the WNBA are hating because she doesn't fit the mold narrative they want. I remember hearing about players black players Lisa Leslie, Maya Moore, Candace Parker and Brittany Griner as stars back then but I never got into watching any WNBA games and I'm a black man. But maybe later this year I might watch a few Caitlin Clark games. This is the first year I'm interested in watching the Women's college basketball March Madness because of CC.

No one really even played BBall at that time. We all played Rugby. Even Wayne Gretzky was popular, and no one watched icehocky or played it.

I swear I was thinking the same thing. Here you have an opportunity to put the ego aside, support her and help grow the league and make some bank. Caitlin’s teammates always say when the light shines on her, it shines on all of them. In a league that’s primarily minority and LGB, why is now diversity a bad thing?

According to Shery Swoops, no NCAA, NBA or NFL records should be broken since games have expanded.

I took my daughters to a Sparks game in LA. The tickets were priced almost the same as a Clippers NBA game. Food and drinks too. I thought the quality of play was good, but not good enough to justify premium prices. They need to be real. I won't be back.
