It's not about discrimination against Luka or another contender like Jokic, these guys play European basketball, one we are used to seeing on the streets of any country in Europe since early childhood. Strong fundamentals, very efficient, but not particularly athletic or stylish... That's the main reason they are not getting the hype some think they deserve as the "Best player of the NBA". People who have seen Jordan play live, they expect more from the NBA, it's not a discredit to them if they are not getting enough hype, but more of a general disappointment about how NBA and its current players have gone soft and lost the edge, getting paid astronomical amount of money to play a softened, politically correct game, compared to the hardcore showdowns of the 90's. Nothing to do with racism / discrimination against Luka, he is the best in a league that's visibly and competitively mediocre compared to how great it once was...
