Yatagan is a blade distinctively different from scimitar. It's shorter, and curves inwards.

If yatagan had thermals, it would honestly be one of the best tanks out there. If only they could produce it in bulk.

What the Abrams needs is an engine delivering more than 1500 horsepower. Whether it'll be a diesel or a gas turbine, the simple fact is that the from the M1 to the latest M1A2C the tank has gotten 25% heavier without any increase in engine power. Any further upgrades will likely continue to add more weight, further reducing mobility.

@@raiben4437 Thatt's why i say MBTs like Leo 2 are not ideal for Singapore's defense. Urban warfare often puts tank at disadvantage because threats are more difficult to locate and so does jungle. But i think my view point are based on attacker's viewpoint especially regarding tanks on urban warfare, i'm not sure how tanks could be used in defensive urban warfare.

Store ammo inside carousel and store charges inside a small bustle autoloader. This is actually the solution they used on object 292 which was a T-80B with a 152mm shoved inside for testing sorta like the leopard 2 140

Sadly, it's not the Чёрный Орёл (Black Eagle), but it's the T-72AMT The T-100 Varsuk was based on Russian Black Eagle which was based on the T-80U. It's basically a T-80U with additional roadwheels, more powerful engine, new ERAs, new sights, new gun, new autoloader, and equipped with RCWS

The FN gun on the coaxial is the m240 , no tank uses the 556

Fun fact, at mspo kielce in 2016 and 2017 they shown pt-16 model concept and pt-17 a model using existing solutions to upgrde the t72m1 tanks. These concepts are based on the t72-120 & pt91 hybryd. Imho a nice upgrade

The way I look at it....Ukraine has fallen so bad. They created the biggest planes in the world, they built parts for RosCosmos (Russian Space Agency), they built tanks. And now what? 80% of the tanks Ukraine owns are not built but are simply repaired ones from storage. They don't have the money nor resources at this point to do much. And if they manage to build something it either gets stolen like an IFV they created that later got stolen by one of the creators, or it doesn't get 100 km down the road before needing a new engine. Ukraine tries to desperately appeal to the EU and says its a European country, but.....come on...

@@Alecxace We can argue about whether Russian troops are in Ukraine, but I believe that if Ukraine does a MASSIVE push on DNR and LNR (The 2 Republics that broke off from Ukraine) Russia will step in. But tbh Donetsk and Lugansk republics have one of the strongest armies thanks to the Russias, having almost 1000 tanks at there disposal, so if Lugansk and Donetsk REALLy wanted war and to eat up Ukraine it could. And the DNR and LNR flags would be flying over Kiev in a week. But DNR and LNR want to simply talk to this day, they want a sit-down and Ukraine refuses to do so...

Indonesia cancelled their order of 50-60 BTR-4 from Ukraine. Afaik, One of the reason was Ukraine unable to produce them fast enough. Only 5 BTR-4 was delivered. Unfortunately it has become Ukraine's thing unable to deliver their promises.

they probably have minimum trained workers and the factory works in slow rate becouse they dont have much orders, probably the orders from ukraine come in very small batches and its not economic to expand the workforce. probably the majority of works are repairs and upgrades on ukranian army vehicles. only the turkish deal could boost the company to become larger player. they have also lack of capital and funds. also they need to sychronise alot of small manufactors and subcontactors and its hard if they dont have large orders.

​@@normanarmslave5144 Every weapon system needs its own supply of spare parts, ammo, fuel etc., which can be pretty costly, and i think that such relatively poor country like Filippines have no real reason to own it. Tanks are tool to break enemy lines, they need space for maneuver. I dont even understand why countries like Indonesia or Singapore own MBTs, maybe just for military prestige. Infantry and IFVs look much more suited for island fighting.

@@normanarmslave5144 Mitsubishi Type 16 would be suitable. JSDF designate it as a wheeled light tank. PH need a focus on more to air and water. PH need more landing ships, amphibious assault ship, helicopters and transport aircraft. PH need a strong airborne unit as well.

That's what I thought about the Brazilian tank that won against every other tank in the competition and still wasn't chosen. They probably didn't trust the company in their production capabilities...

ENGESA was able to delivered the Urutu and Sucuri in large numbers. Indonesia cancelled 55 orders of BTR-4, a wheeled APC from Ukraine due to unsatisfactory. ENGESA was able to outperform both Leopard and Abrams in Arabia. Ukraine's management is the problem here. Brazil's failure was due to ENGESA selling its products to Saudi Arabia's adversaries.

Turkey actually wanted to buy the 2A6TR but the German federal government denied the sale of it because it would have resulted in some technologies being shared with the Turkish.

The Altay is a South Korean K2 tank that lacks the original autoloader system derived from T-84 Yatagan which itself was modelled after LeClerq autoloader. I wonder how would T-84 Yatagan perform in Northern Syria with Nozh and Varta APS. For starters Syrian Arab Army T-72s T-90s will struggle since they don't have access to 3BM60 Svinets 2 3BM69 3BM70 Vacuum shells seen in Russian military service

None of post-soviet countries has ability to mass produce tanks, even modernisation of old ones is pretty slow.

@@massimechoub3343 it's not about money, it is about having modern equipment, not fifty years old, enough specialists, and whole bunch of supplementary factories and production chains. Even if they will get enough money, it will take years and tens of years to set up mass production. So... Its unlikely, that any of post-soviet countries is capable of mass producing modern tanks.

NATO requires blowout panels? Doesn't Challenger 2 lack blowout panels? If so, why the exception?

I've seen countries buy say T72's but for whatever reasons they go cheap on aquiring old munitions which is very limiting.

Tmorrow i saw some new North Korea tanks on 75 anniversary parade, its something completly new (no russian tanks with domestic upgrades). I hope there will be video about that :)

I believe only a couple of leos got destroyed by atgms they are still pretty much rock solid from the front in a hull down position, biggest hit was an ISIS assault with countles svbied on albab outskirts. FSA ran off and terrorist were able to reach the Turkish outpost with their svbied. 2 leos had immobilized by mines and Turkish f16s destroyed them. Less than 10 or so must have been damaged beyond repair if I recall correctly. That happened in around 6 months of conflicts. Isis was in good shape when Turkey attacked albab too and well YPG had more than enough atgms in their disposal but they only managed to hit 3 leos and 2 sabra? Not really sure but there were not a single leo that damaged beyond repair on that conflict, a single Fırtına SPA got destroyed tho. It was the lack of infantry and air support that made leos look bad. That was an internal politics problem tho, akp did not wanted to send more soldiers in fear of losing popular opinon and air force was simply not allowed to Syria thx to Russians.

+ nope, no rpg kills on leos nearly all of them were atgms, 2 were air strike and I believe 2 were svbied kills.
