How to recognize T-72 variants. T-72 Spotter's Guide
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Have you ever wanted to be able to recognize different tank models without much trouble. Well look no further cause you are on the right place. In this video we will be taking a look
at different Soviet and later Russian T-72 models. The export models and the ones developed by other countries will not be covered in this video, simply because it would be way too
long, I will cover them in a separate video.

@KaiserHabsburg

In reality...Your probably not going to see the wheels. not in combat at leadt youll see them front on if your in a fight. and if not youll see the tank hull down or driving(dust clouds hiding the wheels) so its an incredibly unreliable way. Myself as a tanker the only chance of seeing the wheels is when its driving(and doesnt know we exist) and use thermals. as the dust wont obscure them. otherwise you wont likely see them at all

Hello redeffect, if possible I would like a video dedicated to the design decisions of the Soviet tanks and how it’s shifted over the decades. The shift from t-55 to t-72 standards for example. It may be a big video but I’d be interested to hear about evolving design decisions.

Great video. Keep up the good work.
Very good explanation
Still waiting for that T-64 variant recognition video.
Early T-72 Ural had better turret protection, since it used T-64A turret with combined armor. They can be recognized by small bulge at the back of the turret - they was modified to use UVZ autoloader. UVZ failed to make same turrets on their factory, so they made usual turret without combined armor. But they still used IR searchlight on left side for some time, until 1975, when they modified their turret design. That's why early Ural's have IR searchlight on left side.
@ozza1785
5 жыл бұрын
Also things was changed from time to time. For example - late 1983/1984 manufactured T-72A's had new turret and armor - basically they became T-72B, but without Kontakt-1 and ability to fire ATGMs. Or some amount of T-72 Ural was upgraded to T-72A level with rubber skirts and smoke launchers (but with original turret).
Great video keep it up!
A really important life lesson .
I love your videos!
My favorite model is the T-72B1
I love the T-72 tank
T72 Ural 1 , T72 A , T72 B , T72 AV , T72 B Model 1989 , T72 BA , T72 B3 , T72 B3 Model 2016 .
This always confused the he'll out of me. Mostly I would just disgust one from the other by the shape of the turrets e.g. the A-model had the line as stated, the B-model had protruding bulbous turret which was somewhat angular. Great Vid

Ever so often I look up "how to differentiate T series tanks" guides and then forget 5 minutes after reading them.
Did he ever made the second video about international variants?
If you want a sparknotes version, just go up to the T-72 wreck, pick out all the human gore and uncooked ammo, and then just match up all the missing serial numbers with the pieces. Like a giant LEGO build, except unlike a t-72, stepping on a lego will actually hurt.
Hi the T-15 Amarta tank was photographed displaying two double hydraulic hoses running down both sides to the front, would you have any idea what could these be for. I now have images of these lines entering the inside of the tank but still attached to the Hull. Clearly these lines are hydraulic so powered from the engine PTO could this be another prototype feature under evaluation.

Correct me if i am wrong, but I think the T64 as the same diameter road wheels as the IS heavy tanks or at least close in size.

Hey red effect. I like your videos even if they are a tiny bit Russian bias. Blyat. Haha. Anyway. Can you do a video about identifying all the models of the t-90?

Do one on the 2T Stalker armored vehicle!!
Do a video about the ammunition that t72 and yugoslavian version m84 use. Or at least mention it next video.
Can you make a mpvie about T 90 and its variants?
You should create a series that is solely dedicated for recognising Russian, Western and Asian tank variants..
never cared about variants of t-72 until 2022 Feb.
Hey, do a vid about Novorossiya and the situation there!
An easy way to differentiate T-64, T-72 and T-80 is by the track. It is unique to each of these tanks.
This would be soon very useful if warthunder add more t72, where to hit them or just J out cuz cant pen em..

How much costs a T 72? Thanks.
Question : is the TR-85M1 obsolete ? just really curios
@Tankliker
5 жыл бұрын
I would say yes. This thing is based on a tank which is even older then the T-72 XD The armore should be so weak modern 30mm or 40mm would have a chance to destroy this thing even from the front if they are near enougth. Also it has only a 100mm gun which is more then onyl obsolet for modern standarts. I would guess even some tracked IFV´s beside the Puma would withstand a KE-round from this gun (Don´t know if the already invented some APFSDS for that thing) They should order more T-72 based tanks or western ones like Leo. 2 to have something that can be used against other tanks.
