What was said about the mind set is so true! I’m in the process of teaching myself that it’s ok to not finish your food and stop when you’re full. Sounds simple but it can really be a struggle!

Totally! I was raised to always finish my food and not to throw food away. It is a struggle to break those habits

Love the advice given here!! I got up to 190 lbs during 2020 and am now fluctuating between 150 and 160. I still feel that I have about 25 lbs to lose but my mindset on things is so much better now. I work really hard to not binge and live in a "diet" mindset. This is my lifestyle now!

WTG Christianna! 🎉 Me too! Flipped my mindset in May and have lost 28lbs... still about 60-65 lbs to go. I now focus on daily movement and exercise.... my healthy, clean eating just falls into place. I'm eating in a small calorie deficit... aiming for 0.5-1lb loss/week. My biggest shift, like you, comes from eradicating the diet/restriction mindset. I still enjoy peanut butter almost every day, but I measure it! (no more spoonfuls from the jar), and I still enjoy a Tbsp of dark chocolate chips every morning on my chia seed/protein powder/yogurt over-night oats. I feel a freedom I didn't have before... even if I'm tracking and measuring my foods... and that comes from the mindset shift. Bonus non scale victory today... doctor told me my autoimmune thyroid antibodies have dropped... which means my overall body inflammation is lower!👍✔ Blessings and Best Wishes on your journey!💕🤗
LOVE THIS! LOVE YOU! Looking forward to the next upload! 🤗

Juliana.. I am so happy I found your channel.. love your recipes.. I've made several.. loved your lower calorie version food choices.. love your advice... your advice is something I can make work for me.. I'm almost 49. I've struggled with weight loss for years but... I was happy with myself.. I really didn't see myself as over weight and unhealthy at 210 pounds.. I would look into the mirror and see a happy me.. what got me to find your channel was.. I had a abnormal liver function test.. after several doctors told me I had a fatty liver.. I found this to be concerning.. I was researching how to improve my liver function... well. To my surprise I followed some of your advice after realizing eating healthier can improve my liver.. I started March slowly.. and now I'm down to 161 I've lost 7 inches.. thank you so much for your real advice and now I look into the mirror and I see someone I never noticed before.. I was happy before but now I'm emotionally happy as well. I carry myself differently.. I'm amazed it took me this many years to learn this info.. I'm working on educating my granddaughters since they have my body make-up to be healthier young ladies.. and make thoughtful healthier choices but still enjoy your favorite foods..
Always excited to see your videos!

Boy Juliana have I missed you hope your doing well and by the looks of you and your awesome personality your doing just fine now I thought it was very interesting to see what different people have eaten on their weight loss journey and it’s great to know you don’t have to eat only healthy foods to lose weight just eat smaller portions and like you said you can eat fast food just don’t eat it every day I so agree now one thing for me I have to watch my salt intake and I found something I love Dash salt free seasoning and the flavor I love is everything but the salt so tasty so thanks again for another helpful video and I so look forward to part 2 but most of all I look forward to seeing you again its been far to long now with that being said peace ☮️ love ❤️ and happiness to you Juliana and I’ll see you on the next awesome video peace ☮️ out ✌️

Thanks so much Daron. I hope you are doing well too. I realize some people have a hard time limiting portions of the tastier stuff- especially in the beginning of a diet but I share that because the black and white thinking just feels like a slippery slope to orthorexia.
Love it !! 👌

The difficult part for me is that “junk” food or fast food is so hard to stop eating. It’s so easy to overeat and then I want more & more. It’s hard for me to find a balance.

You’re not alone. There is a genetic / brain chemistry component to this and it is also influenced by the current makeup of your microbiome. My husband has this despite our best efforts and all the tricks…we just have to keep the treats out of sight sometimes or avoid certain things. When the flood gates open, it can turn into a shit show- especially if he’s hungry or has been feeling deprived/too restricted for a while.

A lot of junk/fast food is literally designed to make you to keep eating, to keep going back for another serving, to crave it again the next day. So are the adverts. How often do you see an advert for some fresh fruit & vegetables, or plain wholegrain rice? Pretty rarely, because there's not a lot that the food industry can do to those products, you can get them from the supermarket & there are countless companies that sell them, so there's very little profit in them. Fried potato products, fancy coffee from Starbucks etc, a takeaway meal - you can't easily make those at home, & we all know they're unhealthy. So the companies have to make you want them, because. I have managed to stop eating those type of highly processed foods, & the cravings do go away eventually. But I know if I started eating them again, I would fall into the junk food cycle like so many people do. I smell those things now & honestly a lot of them smell pretty unpleasant. It's a trap, designed to make money for the shareholders of these companies. The trick is you have to avoid even being near them, consciously try to stop seeing them as food, and eventually you will no longer want them.
I started my weight loss journey 10 months ago, I’ve lost 30 pounds now I only have 10 more to lose to be at my goal range
Cool idea for video
I also really like your videos! First, after reading the comments, I noticed that you don’t like the boob light. When we rented a house a replaced a fan that I absolutely hated with a light. We just stored the fan, and put it back when we left! I say treat yourself to a new light fixture if you really hate the other light! 😂 Anywho! I know the whole interment fasting has been proven to be no more effective than calorie deficit, but what do you think of IM helping to not reduce BMR? I don’t do IM, but I’m thinking I should incorporate it when I’m doing a calorie deficit for that reason.
off topic, but your house is decorated nice asf! love the white overall, with green plants. did you do it yourself?

Haha thanks J! Its a rental and we have been renting and moving for a longgg time so I try and stick with neutral pieces like white as its easier to fit in any space. The nipple light above the kitchen table kills me though. One day when I finally own a home, it will have more spunk and personality for sure.

Juliana.. I really need more recipes lower calories.. and some ways to tone my upper body.. since weight loss I got some flabby arms and need some muscles but I don't know which muscles to work on to look beautiful not bulky
@heyitsjuliana
Жыл бұрын
The recipe part im working on- really what you need for “tone” is adequate protein. You can work the whole arm without looking bulky. The thing that makes women look bulky IMO is overdeveloped traps. You have workout a lot and eat in a surplus to get even get close to bulky. Training hard and eating at maintenance or a deficit will create “tone”
I started walking every morning about 4 weeks ago for about 30 minutes. Is that enough time or should I step it up?
