    Weirdly… in the past when I hit a plateau, I would have a day or two where for one meal, I would have whatever I had been craving - in moderation. Pizza? Sure, a slice or two. Ice cream - bring it! Then I’d go back to diet mode and it seemed like my day or two “vacation” confused the hell out of my body and Id start dropping again. Biggest trick - is not going so crazy in those couple meals you go off the rails.

    Doing a week at maintenance always worked wonders for me. Sometimes your body is just tired of being in a deficit.

    I've been getting my health back on track since May this year and I'm losing about 1kg a month, which feels so incredibly slow that it's almost like being in a constant plateau. From one week to the next I don't always notice a difference on the scale or in my measurements but sticking to it has been showing me that this is a long term effort that pays off. For me what works is looking back 2-3 months instead of 2-3 weeks because of how slow my progress is, so that I remember I'm making progress and can be proud of what I've achieved so far.

    I hit a platuea a few years back and people just told me it was genetics, I was destined to gain weight and I should probably quite my sport. No one said the lift weights or anything. Even tho it was just a life plateau and not a weight loss plateau, videos like this are so important 🙌🏻

    i plateaued for almost 6 months. it was a mind f*ck every single day. my husband always had to remind me that im not GAINING weight and thats what matters. evnetually a slow loss started happening again but it was a very long 6 months.

    I recently had this happen to me except I stopped exercising (weight lifting and running) other than walking. My very very long plateau broke with me losing 9 lbs in a few weeks!

    This was super informative and helpful! I was definitely doing strategy #1, but I started doing strategy #2 about 4 days ago. I work from home so I'm very sedentary, plus I am proud member of the "I live to eat" group of people. 😂 I will be 40 yrs. old next year and want to feel better in this one body that I have. I hope to gradually implement strategies #3 and #4 in the coming weeks. Thank you for making weight loss education so easy to understand. Can't wait to try one of the recipes in your cookbook.     The way you explain things makes me think all these other people on the Internet talking about health and dieting have no idea what they are talking about. If you can't explain things in simple terms you don't know what your talking about 😂 But everything you just said 👌 I had been in some local fitness competitions at my gyms and they used to provide a calorie intake and recipe guide - I never followed it mostly because at the time I didn't enjoy half of what was on the list and it wasn't enough food, I just focused on wholefoods and additionally besides the gym I worked on my feet all day walking around, I also did martial arts 5 times a week and used to enjoy dancing at night when going out with my friends whilst I was in my early twenties. I ended up winning the competition with both fat loss and muscle gain as opposed to all my competitors who lost fat but also lost muscle due to probably not getting the right fuel for their body. Love to eat category here! ❤

    Thanks girl! I just ordered some and I am the most excited I have ever been waiting on the mail!! A friend gave me one to try and I legit had energy till 10 p.m. where normally I am fatigued after the gym and turn into a monster by 8 p.m. I am thankful and excited to try all the flavors in the free sample pack! I am excited for my whole family actually. I find I will kind of keep a rough eye on protein. Supplementing with magnesium has really helped my chocolate cravings and I just eat when I am hungry, I probably should track macros bc my NEAT does take a hit I noticed, maybe if I eat more I will move more, sometimes when I am bored I snack on veggies or fruits. The scale is going up but my legs seem more shapely so I’m not stressing. I figure I will put on as much muscle as possible. Sometimes I fantasize about what my body would look like if I did track macros or how amazing I could feel. Did you notice tracking macros at maintenance if you felt better, the same or worst than just eating a healthy , balanced diet……..

    2008 I won first place NPC figure (they didn’t have bikini back then) after the show 😢I binged BIG TIME ! Girl I gained so much weight. I couldn’t quit binging until years later. I was 38 back then now 53 and now I have menopause issues. Nothing is working so I’m binge watching KZread for help. 🙄 Lordy…wish me luck!
