Kate Moss was part of the reason I was anorexic at 98 pounds (5'4) at age 16 in the 90's. Thankfully I got help after being hospitalized. Now, at age 43, I worked off 40+ pounds through diet and exercise slowly after a decade of surgeries, babies and disability. I wish I'd known about health and the proper way to lose fat and build muscle in my youth. I too am upset at the thinness making a comeback because it requires muscle loss to look like a waif and women will be damaging their metabolism no doubt and stuck eating little to keep it off.
For me the absolute worst part is that this ridiculous ideal that costs thousands of dollars per month to maintain has been made a trend. It’s one thing for celebs to be flaunting fancy vacations and cars and purses, but now it’s our freaking bodies?? It’s infuriating!! And of course there’s always been a level of privilege with private chefs, all the best supplements and skincare, etc. but this just takes it to a whole nother icky level! 😡
Super glad you made a video on this! Great information !
I'm on semaglutide. Not guilty. I'm 5ft w a 26 BMI and in perimenopause and felt like I really needed it. I lost 7 lbs in a week and I'm pretty happy.

Except providers are prescribing it for obesity related to diabetes, they’re not typically prescribing it for thin diabetics. So it is prescribed for weight loss for diabetics as well. And have you never heard of a compounded pharmacy?

Whoa whoa whoa - Wegovy and Ozempic are BOTH semaglutide. Liraglutide is another drug all together. 6:17 In that 2015 study people on liraglutide (vs semaglutide) did not lose as much weight. Ozempic is semaglutide branded for diabetics and Wegovy is semaglutide branded for chronic weight management.

Fuck! Your right saxenda is the liraglutide in this study. Omg 😳 wow. And i call ozempic a semaglutide throughout the rest of this video so epic fuck up on my end - my bad. No excuses but im significantly dumber right now at 9 months pregs so im glad you are here. To clarify for the folks here - the jama study was on glp-1s both semiglutides vs liraglutides made by novo nordisk. The semiglutides we’re shown to be more effective for weight loss. Ozempic is prescribed for both diabetes and weight loss while wegovy is prescribed for weight loss.

Love your videos. ❤ They’re always so informative. Curious if you’ve ever looked into heavy metal toxicity as a reason for stubborn weight that won’t come off? Remember you mentioning in another video that you had worked through some thyroid issues naturally. I’m in process of doing the same thing now. I keep hearing how Heavy metal toxicity can play a big (and adverse) role in thyroid and hormonal health, and metabolism. Would love to hear more about what your thyroid health journey looked like.

Self identifying is a very important aspect, I experienced my best work friend completely changing when she got a temporary lap band..it was like dealing with A teenager kind of. She definitely didn't act like a 330 lb female any longer! It was a whirlwind of changes and some were great and some were dark, anger at store clerks for instance her hurt fat self was feeling and acting from a thin body..! She learned after a while to do better. Changing mindset is everything internally and its essential for friends and family to realize this too. There are peeps who don't want u to succeed even if they say they do..my husband has been one..but he won't admit it. Long story saved for another time! But Changing mindset is SUPER important!
What is super sus is that celebrities who struggled for years or even decades to really lose weight suddenly slimmed down and credited it to diet and exercise. They tried diet and exercise for years, why didn’t it work then? Because Ozempic didn’t exist back then! Hello Kyle Richard’s, Erica Jayne, Kardashiand etc
Love it!!! You look so beautiful!!! Wishing you well...xoxo -Mayra

Hey what’s up how goes it well I must say I found this topic very interesting and I learned so much i didn’t know now me personally am not a fan of taking weight loss medication and the reason is when I was a teenager I was going to the store and buying diet pills 💊 not knowing anything about them like side effects because of being overweight and eventually my mom caught me and she told me why what I was doing was bad and it scared me that’s why I have this fear of diet pills 💊 and or medications for weight loss but Juliana I’m so thankful to you for shedding some light on this topic and I had one heck of a good time hanging out with you now with that peace ☮️ love ❤️ and happiness to you Juliana and I’ll see you on the next awesome Juliana Crispo video also can’t wait to hear all the gossip when you finally have you little one 👍
The fact that KK was ALREADY thin and lost 16lbs in 3 weeks tells me everything I need to know, the thinner the harder and longer it takes to lose weight thus no way it was safe or healthy for her to use this method/medication.

That's why I said not an easy way like she said bec it comes with side effects
Years ago, my doctor told me “you’re fat” and put me on Metformin. It just mad the room spin constantly and I was always on the toilet. Good times! I can’t believe people are taking this stuff.
I’ve also heard that there have been some serious mental health effects. Like REALLY serious mental health effects. I’m good, thanks. I will just keep eating right and working out.
It’s not for me. But if it helps people that need it, I think it’s a good thing. It’s a shame it is being abused by some that don’t need it.
I’m not sure where you saw that these drugs are different because they are the same drug just different strengths. Ozempic(semaglutide) Wegovy (semaglutide)
Hey Juliana, for the ozempic vs the other drug study, was it funded by Novo Nordisk or Novo Nordisk foundation? Because those are completely different things. The foundation funds independent research and really have no say in what findings are published vs Novo Nordisk itself is a different story
This is so ridiculous 😮💨 great video as always 👌
I'm a nurse and didn't realize this was trending as I do not have a lot of social media anyway. Thanks for the information and awareness! of course there's drugs to help with weight loss, there's drugs for everything lol 😅. I'll stick to the basics of eating food and working out. Also, loved the belly shot ❤
Love your honesty and you cut right to the chase, this is a repeat of the 80s and 90s, my mom went to a "weight loss clinic " years ago, she just wanted to lose a few lbs, not that heavy, I believe they called them " black beauties",some little pill, she lost weight, but felt horrible, this is the new fad , plus a big money maker, shame on the doc's that are doing it,we need to focus on eating differently, exercise, and lab work needs to be incorporated more often, due to vit d,B6,B12 etc being off...on a side note we have been dealing with our granddaughter being anorexic in a facility several times, due to set backs, sure being thin is nice , but being healthy is much better, and not sure if everyone knows , eating disorders kill more people than we know.as a health care professional,it makes me ill of all the prophet that is being made, due to a person having a weight issue. Lisa
Did she ever have Waterburger.... L O L O L O
I took it but i bought mine from an online sarm souce so it wasn't pharmacy grade. Im 5'7 dropped about 15 lbs down to 140. Been off for about two months. Now im 142 and happy that i chose to do it

Another note, when i took it I had nausea. That was my main symptom. No stomach issues or gas. In fact, when im off of it and im eating healthy im gassy. Its so annoying and uncomfortable. When i took semaglutide, I neverrrr had issues with gas. Ive thought about going back on just to fix my gas issues. Im sure its onions but im not giving up onions. Lol. OH and the cost on a sarm website is $110 and it would last 1-3 months depending on the dosage im on. So didn't pay that ridiculous amount

Good morning!
Tried stimulant medication for weight loss, super dangerous for the heart. Gained all my weight back and then some. But finally found out through a great doctor, that I have PCOS with insulin resistance. Which made it extra hard to loose weight. I thought it was just all my fault and could never do it right. Went to a health and wellness clinic and was put on ozempic. I was 5'4 220. I have lost 40 pounds on a very small dose of ozempic. BUT I also work out and have made some changes to my diet. I agree with other comments that it is harder to put on muscle because the weight loss gets rid of your muscle as well. So there is definitely a balance and incorporating a health coach is very beneficial. The COMBINATION of all of the above, has been a life changer for me

Ugh my husband has a weight issue and he purposely got up to a BMI of 33% so he could get it. He feels like shit after each shot and is still eating like shit. Grrrrrr those that need it great and I’m glad it’s there for them but I disagree with giving it to “the lazy man”! It’s unhealthy.
Talk me off the ledge 😭 I have been considering Wegovy…. I’m 5’2 200lbs with high cholesterol so I meet the criteria and at this point won’t mind shitting my brains out to lose some weight.

My coworker is a crazy conspiratist and refused the Covid vaccines... among other things, but has jumped on this trend.
Kardashians: every other scene is one of them eating, no lie! I get that "looks" are their selling point, but taking a drug needed by diabetics is weak and sad. The girls DO workout, but apparently EZ street dieting is for the wealthy. Great video on this subject.
I think if we want to examine extra bullet points under your “ethics” category we could address how most pharmaceuticals are made from living organisms. There’s probably a dead baby slurry behind most drugs and if you think I’m being disrespectful or joking I encourage you to look into the compounds and the building blocks for these medications. Ethical medicine comes from food. But these aren’t vitamins.
