What’s your #1 weight loss tip?

For me it was not just planning my meals, but planning THE TIME I ate those... It helped me heal my metabolism after I'd been crash dieting for years. Slowly building up to a good maintenance then going on a cut I lost a significant amount of fat while still building muscles. And I didn't let myself feel hungry and tempted by knowing... "Oh I've got my mid morning snack coming up in 10 mins" it helped me stay on track a lot more.

For me it's avoiding food from 7pm-11am, getting good sleep, and eating foods that help my hypothyroidism. I'm in my 40s and am smaller than I was in high school!

Consistency I'm calories counting or monitoring. I've been doing it for almost 2 years. If you don't know how much your eating, you'll put on weight.

Learning to make your favorite recipes for fewer calories and as healthier options. Your healthy pizza and French toast videos were a game changer in my life 🥳

My favorite tip: Think of healthy eating as MORE, not less. Add MORE protein (chicken, eggs, etc), add MORE veggies to each meal, drink MORE water (with electrolytes - huge fan of LMNT over here as well!) Most people focus on restricting themselves while dieting, thinking they get LESS of everything they love. Instead, think of it as a gift. I *get* to eat MORE (of the right things), I get to lift MORE, I can walk/run MORE than I could before! I get to sleep more! If you think of it as adding good things to your life, you won't feel deprived. 🫶
I follow a lot of dietitians who demonize calorie counting because it can lead to disordered eating but personal nonexpert self would say it only leads to disordered eating if that person has other issues they haven’t felt with. I’ve been overweight all of my life and when I have counted calories I’m shocked at how many calories I take in. If I never tracked I would never know how bad my habits are or where I’m at. Just my personal wand opinion.

Im always weirdly hesitant to tell people that, other than weightlifting, the most impactful thing to losing the weight I have is TRACKING CALORIES! I'm so afraid that i'm completely going to turn people off when it is easily the best thing you can do if you're trying to lose fat. Otherwise, most people are just flailing in the dark

I started calorie counting a while ago, it is quite effective, it makes me aware of what i am eating. But sometimes when i am feeling bad, i would skip a day or two of calorie counting. This works for me
Great video. I'm 1.8 years into my weight loss. 85 lbs downs and 20 more to go. It has to be a lifestyle change.
I am 11 weeks postpartum and have had to adjust my expectations. Our baby will not let us put him down so I’m not getting enough sleep to get started. I’m a dietitian-nutritionist and knew that food prep would be chaotic, so I prepped a ton of home cooked, high protein meals for us. I just can’t wait to get moving again soon!

My #1 weigh loss tip is lifting heavy weights! 😊
LOVE the Starbucks video! I always try to remember how to make it. Kept a Post-It forever from that video. Never order the Caramel Frapp anymore. Thank you Juliana😊
I’m currently 36 weeks pregnant with my fourth baby and I’m looking forward to starting my health/fitness journey again. I’ve managed to slim down each time but I really want to get into strength training this time instead of just cardio. Thanks for the tips!

Updated Starbucks information would be amazing
Watching as replay. Happy Sunday!
Please update your Starbucks vid! Congrats on your new baby! Hope to see more vids from you!
Don't weigh yourself every day!! I used to do this and I would get so discouraged and disappointed if I didn't see a loss, instead of looking at the week as a whole. I may have gained one day, but the overall results for a week was a loss And yes!!! Starbucks video please!

I personally like weighing daily… its not to punish myself, its more or less a “ok brain! This is what we are doing today” Plus, there’s been times where its helped me become aware of what food make me swell. I tend to take a pic of the number on my phone, then forget about it the rest of the day but ya… its a mental reset for me. 😊
I forgot I bought your cookbook😅 just reminded me to print it off 😂
Yes to the Starbucks video!!
Another Starbucks video would be amazing!! My #1 tip is intermittent fasting. I gained 10 pounds last Nov doing a “high protein diet.” Aka I prob just ate too much for my tdee. I finally decided to do IF again and got the weight off!! I am eating somewhat normal now w fasting a few days per week and I’m able to easily maintain. Woohoo!! 🎉
Updated Starbucks please 🙏🏽 ❤️
Thanks for some useful tips that I’m hoping will work for guys too now you mentioned drinking diet coke and I used to drink that but I have since found a soda that I like called Zevia which is very healthy and I’ll admit when I first tried it, it was different but I have grown to like it anyway thanks again for the useful info and another great video now with that peace ☮️ love ❤️ and happiness to you Juliana and I’ll see you on the next awesome Juliana Crispo video peace ☮️ out ✌️
I had a feeling you’d post today!!! I hope all is well. Bring it in for a hug. Came to like the video. I’ll watch later… Btw loved your pic with Andrew H. You look great!
I’m currently 14 months pregnant and it’s been so challenging to keep my diet clean…. I suddenly dislike chicken, ground beef (most protein ) and crave lots of carbs 😢. Can’t wait to start my health journey after baby is born

Yes to tracking calories to make sure you're eating enough, especially if you're trying to volume eat or eat more veg for the first time and you feel full but you've just eaten a 300 cal meal without realizing it and now you're under eating.
Yes
I used your link and tried element so make me a Starbucks video! Jk but seriously. Did they remove the sugar free cinnamon dolce syrup? Love your content ❤
nope on the diet soda but do try carbonated unsweetened flavor water
Do you have a workout guide? I'd love to see that! Salamat!
Great video. It's so sweet when you finally lose that unwanted weight. I lost 109 pounds (half the weight of a refrigerator) in less than 4 months and have kept it off since then. Just like every woman struggling with weight loss now, I yoyoed for years - staying on track for a month or 2, losing a few lbs in the process before falling off. And each time I fell off, I just gained the weight back plus more. In July 2021, I was at my heaviest - 255 lbs... See full story on my channel.
Lol. Somehow yt was set down to 0.75 speed and as I was watching I was wondering why you all sounded stoned. 😂😂😂 Thanks for the info! Loads of goodness here
Is the cookbook digital download? PDF? Hard copy? I'm interested, love your content...the website didn't specify.

I am done with phenteramine! I want to loose weight the right way. What vitamin supplements to you suggest for a 50 ish female while trying to exercise and watch calories??
I’ve gone to only drinking coffee (one cup a day with a sprinkle of sugar, whAtevs), black unsweetened tea, and water. My problem is I can not be patient enough to stay consistent and see progress with work outs. It’s my downfall. And then also, my hormones go whack every single month and I lose all of my damn control and binge some cookies or something stupid for a day or two or three. Sooo working on THAT stuff and feeling soooooo lost Bc it never fails to hit me hard and knock me back. I keep getting back on the health b.s. train but I’m just seeing 0 progress. Pretty much maintaining. Juliana- come yell at me everyday to keep up on myself or something 😭😂

I struggled with my fitness journey at my time of the month. The best thing to combat intense cravings is having PLENTY of high quality protein options available. During the days that my cravings are the strongest, I don’t adhere to my calories deficit, but I give myself more protein options. It has helped significantly and I find my mind craving non-supportive foods much less.
I love Coke Zero & soda water and have had so many people who smoke or drink alcohol to excess tell me how bad it is for me, like pls mind your business, thxxxx…. Anyhow, I did get to drinking too much alcohol myself and as I have cut back, Coke Zero has been my savior as it offers flavor and the fizz I love. (Regular Coke was never an option as straight sugar like that is a migraine trigger for me.) If diet soda doesn’t work for you, fine. But I definitely see its value versus sugary juices and full sugar soda or (in my case) empty calories of alcohol.
Fa protein weight loss tip. Get your sleep; 7 to 8 hours every day. My hardest tip to follow, too, lol. And, yes, please, Julia, update low calorie Starbucks drinks KZread video. 💖💕💕
I have a question what if I am not eating the whole amount of calories I am supposed to eat is that fine As I am still loosing weight I don't feel hungry even though I only eat two meals and some snacks in between
Aspartame the sweetener in Diet Coke is the most researched compound in the FDA’s history with over 60 years of data. Not one has shown any carcinogenic effects at normal human consumption. You would have to literally drink 1000 per day to even start to see a slight uptick in cancer risks. I’m getting though if you were to drink that much you’d have some other serious problems on your hands to deal with! 😂
Question about LMNT. How many should you drink a day? I have high blood pressure and was told to watch my salt intake, can I use LMNT?
@heatherholguin301

It has too much salt. Definitely not for peeps with high blood pressure.

HBP is an insulin response. If you’re not insulin resistant your body will get rid of excess sodium… we need salt but you’re holding on to it if you’re not metabolically healthy.

If an "eating disorder" was as easy as they say on here to trigger, we all would have it. I been trying to trigger my ED for a long time, that's f'd up and recovery maybe wasn't it for me
Lose it has cut back on the free u do they used to provide, they are pushing u to pay now to track more info.

Man I feel like I’ve had to relearn everything after losing 50 lbs and gaining it back. Now with trying to fit into a wedding dress, it’s so tempting to crash diet but I know slow and steady is better🫶🏻
