Yes, the brand is a great line of headwear. Furthermore, you should see its winter hat line: functional and stylish!

I have the Airflo LTM6 hat for 12 years now, loved it over the years. However the hat has torn during washing, need to change it.

Just got mine and it is made in China! Still seems well made, but only time will tell. I hear sketchy things on the warranty and i feel for what you pay and being one of its selling points it should be an easy process. Hope i don't need to find out.

Bought one a couple of weeks ago. Great hats that stay on your head when it’s windy due to the 2 cord system not mentioned in this review…

The warranty seems to have changed to the worse. Appearently they ask now for pictures and want you to send them money plus taxes for shipping and stuff. So basically there is no warranty anymore but rather "just buy a new one". Most models are not Made in Canada anymore but in China.

As tilly owner the Guarantee is not quite as he says. My hat developed a stain due to leeching of the coloured stitching, it looks like a permanent sweat stain. After jumping through hoops Tilly will replace it if I send pictures of my hat destroyed (the hat was a gift from a departed friend) and send $20plus taxes. Not quite what I expected. I will keep the hat, if only for use in the garden.

You do know that Tilley sold out to corporate greed, don't you? How about buying a Christmas present for the jobless Canadians whose lives were destroyed?

Tilley sold out recently and the new owners have started to have their famous hats MADE IN CHINA in addition to Canada where the hat was invented. I feel this is a trend that I, as a Tilley fan, will not support. I refuse to buy a MADE IN CHINA Tilley anything! I can only imagine the reason for doing this is to maximize what profit they can from the company in as short a time as possible. Very, very sad! :-(

I can confirm I got a Tilley LTM6 Airflo hat in 2020 and it is MADE IN CHINA. I'd rather pay 20% more can have them still made in Canada. This wasn't a good move.

@@TheRamboBeast Rather than offering to pay 20% more, I think I would have returned the Chinise Tilley. As far as I know, Tilley was doing very well selling Canadian made hats, and people were happy paying the already 'premium' price. I was happy to buy my hat at close to $100 Can. I would value a Chinise version at $30 or less* * I base this on a number of items I have acquired from China. It is not to say all Chinise stuff is rubbish, just that I am will ing to pay a bit extra to support Western values

After some investigating, it looks like Tilley has decided to make most of their iconic Airflo hats as well as some other new young"trendy" hats (the Nomad, the Hyeto, some other hats that are trying to appeal to younger people) in China. You can still get an Airflo "mash-up" hat that's made with recycled yarn, they actually look really nice, and they're still made in Canada. Sucks for me as the iconic LTM5 might have been a purchase I would have considered in the future, now I'll have to really think on that. Luckily a bunch of their other hats are still made on Gervais Ave in North York... I have the T3 Wanderer and the TTW2 Tec-Wool winter hat, they're both still made in Canada. Really unfortunate and kind of a bummer. Funny, if you literally google "Tilley made in china" there's a Globe & Mail article/interview with Alex Tilley where he states his negative opinion on overseas manufacturing. I mean, I'm bummed out that they're not 100% made in Canada anymore but if a life-long Tilley wearer were to compare a Canadian-made Airflo and a Chinese-made Airflo and not be able to tell the difference, there's still that? Here's the list of Canadian-made products: @t

@@FABM27 Yes, it is. 22 of the 30 hats currently for sale on their website are made in Canada, so I kind of get frustrated when one person buys one of their hats that are made overseas and then claim that they're all made that way. If you wish, head to their website and scroll down to the Made in Canada shopping section so that you won't see any hat that isn't made in Canada!
