For the people saying it sounds unbelievable, Jeff clearly said "take it with a grain of salt" and that "it'll come down to schedules and other factors."

Given that one of the influences of Stranger Things was Stephen King, it makes sense to get a director like Frank Darabont who has directed a few Stephen King adaptations.

It sure would, but I fear if they try to release it this year, corners will be cut in the name of expediency.

This would be the first time in the show’s history where Shawn Levy did not direct Episode 3 and Episode 4.

I don't know. This sounds very unbelievable. Netflix had it's slate for the rest of 2024 in February (without SF). All major outlets like Hollywood Reporter etc. are saying mid 2025. Also, let's remember the level of production of season 4 and the length of those episodes. I suspect they will want to at least match that level of production for it's final season. They began in January,...and you're saying a series like this would be ready in November? I hope not.

I think it will be released in November and December as well. They usually have their show set during a holiday and released around that holiday. The set photos looks like its in the winter time.

I can't get down with his prediction. Reason being, Arcane season 2 has been slated for November of this year. I'm not sure Netflix would put Stranger Things and Arcane so close to one another. I can see Christmas time of 2024 for the first four with Valentine's Day for the final four.

No way they think Arcane would compete with ST. This also isn’t like movies competing for theatres and paid tickets. Everyone can watch either show at the same time.

Less relationship drama and more action in season 5 pls, like i get why they did it the way they did in 4, and the only relationship that can swing either way are jancy and stancy imo. The rest seem sealed. I hope its brutual horror, mystery and crazy action beggining to end. Definitely think its the vanishing of nancy wheeler, theres rumors steve and jon will team in 5, and if nancy goes missing as well as the animated steve and jon scene, its all linking strongly

I think if they do split the season its more likely to be the first batch at christmas and the second batch between March and April next year. Since its the last season they won't rush it.

Trachtenberg was the director of Prey.

I rhink first half drops around christmas, with a trailer or 2 from july til then. They release the new merch around the trailers leading into they holiday season to add to build up of the release. They might not annouce they 2nd half til new years or later with the 2nd half coming a couple of months after. Also, i can see some of the episodes being longer in length especially the last 2 episodes and the last episode of the 1st half. I think the finale is 1 1/2 to 2hrs. Also i wouldn't be surprised if there is a watch party with fans for the finale.

I don’t think they’re going split the final season. But who knows. Tbh, i prefer to have all of the episodes drop at all once. I can wait. 😅

I don't believe this at all.

Hot Take: I really don’t like Season 4 second half. The show just becomes an unfocused mess, that can’t wrap up a season as well as it’s predecessors. Also the Vecna twist was really stupid since he is all telling this to a girl that doesn’t understand a word he says. Really hope they gonna turn it around with season 5
