There’s a difference between an outlet leaking INFORMATION and someone leaking an official image, still, script, etc. A huge difference.

It seems unlikely that Mark Strong would play Carmine Falcone in The Penguin when the character was already in The Batman played by John Turturro.

Fall Guy underperformed, but the biggest crime here is how no one’s watching or even talking about Boy Kills World. That movie is awesome and I was alone in the theatre. It made me so sad.

More people talked about last year, there was a decent amount of buzz during Toronto Film festival, the strikes really killed the word spreading after the festival.

Crap. I forgot it came out. Otherwise I was hyped for it. But this explains it. Even me who was excited didn't know it came out.

Hearing Lily or Shadow barking at the beginning of the show gave a special flavor to it.

Garfield is loved overseas so not shocked. It's made half its budget back already is not even out in America yet!

When they reboot X Men, I would like no Wolverine until the sequel. If they have to put him in the first one, there's 3 scenarios I'd like. 1. He plays more of an antagonistic role to begin with, akin to Ultimate X Men. This way, we see him have more of an arc as they progress. 2. He's in the movie but his story runs parallel so he doesn't actually meet the main cast until maybe the end. 3. Just a post credits scene.

I can easily see X-Men starting with the Storm/Wolvie/Nightcrawler/Sunfire/Thunderbird/Banshee/Colossus era (Second Genesis team / Giant Sized X-Men), and merely honor the OG 5 by forming to rescue them from captivity. It would be a way to start with Storm and Wolverine, two of the biggest names in mutantdom, honor the first class, and have 12+ characters introduced in one go while only having to focus on 4-7 headliners for 90% of the film.

@@nkrose8177 that works. I was also thinking of the actual rescue of the OG team from the clutches of Krakoa. Make it that they and Magneto were captives in amber since 1980 and emerge looking the age they were going in. I'm sure that same amber plot device can be due to something in the Savage Land instead. That way we get ~50 year old Magneto (instead of 96 in 2026 born circa 1930) and Prof X. The First Class team can be still early 20s, while Storm and the others can be portrayed in their early 30s but from modern times.

Yes! I thought they should somewhat follow the comics like the phase 1 Avengers films. Start with a Wolverine movie where he is sent by the government to stop the Hulk. The post credit scene is him being recruited to join the X-Men. The X-Men film has flashbacks to the original team's formation and 1st battle against Magneto, but the movie is mostly about the new team rescuing them from Krakoa. It could end with a cliffhanger as Magneto returns with the Brotherhood, including the missing tragic character Wanda and a resurrected (via reality warping) Pietro. The next films split the teams into blue and gold units and introduce new members and enemies. Eventually the X-Men and Avengers have to square off because Wanda is the mutants' enemy and she is friend to the Avengers.

What you say makes sense and sounds good, which makes me think this is definitely NOT what the studios are going to do. Wait and see that we'll get 12 year old X-Men characters, or something that looks completely different to what we know and expect 😅🙈

@@alexp601 lol. Nah, at this point I assume they'd at minimum know the majority of audience would want a main team with adult characters even if a few young mutants are caught up in their shenanigans, trying to be heroes, or at least have the academy aspect going.

He's just Victor and he goes to the mob because he's desperate for funding for his research to save his wife, setting him up nicely for The Batman sequel. Maybe.

We need Angorius, Gigan , Batra, Biolantae, Space Godzilla, and Destroya.......and last but not least, Jet Jaguar.

I would bet that every worker on set has to sign secrecy agreements. And a pic is worth more than a thousand words and is copyrighted.

Chris Pratt would be a great Booster Gold in a Blue/Gold movie, that might be a little too on the nose and I know they wanted to do a TV show but maybe if you are the studio you are thinking about re-tooling the TV show as a movie instead? But knowing James Gunn he will cast Chris Pratt as something tonally different from what he's done in the past and that character is a little too similar to Star Lord again, he will most likely be a villain type character. Who that might be I have no idea. Sean Gunn was just cast as Maxwell Lord so I would expect something along those lines.

I hate these merchandise tie-in movies because now my wife is going to want a Garfield plushie and some Garfield theme t-shirts and stuff.

This whole society is obsessed with the concept of spoilers. I don’t care about spoilers, I can enjoy a film knowing and but I’ll never ruin someone’s enjoyment by spoiling things. But really, it’s just movies. I think we need to take a few notches down and realise spoilers are not the end of the world. I don’t a corporation should have the right to go after someone who shared a pic of a costume. Who cares!

The issue I see is that people have different opinions on what is a spoiler. Hearing what the very first scene of a film is doesn't count as a spoiler to me, as it doesn't change the overall film experience. Hearing that a character dies would be a spoiler. Or hearing anything that fundamentally changes the story would be a spoiler. Sometimes, I just want to go to a film and be surprised, and enjoy the moments, instead of knowing half of the film already and thinking 'this is from that TV spot' or 'oh so the rumours were true!'. People talk about films way too much and it can end up changing our experience of watching them, when we know so much about it before we even see it. Some people, like yourself, don't care what you know and it doesn't ruin the experience or enjoyment, but for others, it is an issue.

You seem to not understand what is happening here. There is a media war and these leakers are in reality corporate saboteurs who are leaking maliciously to drop stock prices and movie revenue. Why do you think most of the leaks are also followed by a ton of negative feedback as well? It’s orchestrated.

I just realized this Batmen Penguin show would technically be the 2ND spin-off film that WB (Max) has greenlit as recently with Dune Prophecy coming as well, we might expect more of this type of strategy from WB (Max) in the future if it's successful. Shows that tie-in directly to the movies in a really integrated way as prequels/sequels or happening between movies.
