I think that QR marketing was a blatant attempt to get in front of bad critic scores. I think audience critic scores are going to be high. At the end of the day, I expect the story to be weak, but the comedy to be strong (albeit subjective to everyone's personal taste, but Deadpool is a known quantity).

I think John and crew are also underestimating how hungry people are for a GOOD Marvel film after the mediocre swill MCU fans have been getting lately. If Deadpool 3 is actually GOOD, people are gonna go again and again in droves.

100% agree that they’re under the gun with there opinions because are the ones who always been on the side of the narrative that marvel was always in trouble.

My theater hasn’t started selling tickets for this movie. I wonder how many other theaters are out there that haven’t sold tickets yet

This movie is going to make gangbusters money. I just secured my tickets for preview day, July 25th, and my personal hometown theater hasn’t had an imax presale this big since Spiderman: No Way Home. This is a huge deal. I have faith Ryan and Hugh are going to deliver a great experience for fans.

Deadpool 1, 2 and 3 were all produced by Maximum Effort, which was founded by Ryan Reynolds. Also, Ryan Reynolds is the main producer and actor in these movies. And, finally, this franchise was created by FOX. It's hard to claim Marvel Studios greatness when the major players are non-Marvel Studios. Deadpool was basically purchased and adopted into the MCU.

@@stevenbarritz5455 That's true. And it's also true that Marvel Studios had no involvement in the conceptualization, production, and distribution for Deadpool 1 and 2. The Deadpool franchise was through-and-through an IP acquisition. Bob Iger worked up more of a sweat when he purchased Fox. Kevin Feige didn't get a single finger dirty.

I think It will do around 130 - 150 M personally. BTW Avatar 2 did make more than 100 M opening weekend.

The lack of major tent poles and great superhero movies will make this a 1B dollar movie

Oh, I think it’s gonna be more. I mean, there’s really only one maybe two other movies that are anticipated outside of Deadpool and wolverine and not to mention it’s going to be at the tail end of July. I saw the calendar for this summer and it’s easily the number one most anticipated movie this summer.

It won't happen, but if it was up to me, John would have to go back to Disneyland (please don't flip off, John), eat 3 corn dogs and churros, ride Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout twice and shake hands with Deadpool and flip off the camera at Avengers Campus! 😂

I've said it before, this movie will have an opening weekend of ~$250 mil, R rating be damned.

I think Deadpool 1 and 2 didnt show in China also, same goes for Joker that broke 1 billion. So its still possible.

I agree if the movie is great then I think there is a great chance of either making 1 billion dollars or close enough that it might as well be 1 billion dollars. Now if it is as good as the 1st and 2nd Deadpool movie and not better I can see it making around $900 million. As for the opening weekend if it is doing better than the 1st 2 Deadpool movies and they did around $130 million. Then I would say between $150 - $180 million. Here is why, with people like me who are seeing it more than once I feel like there is a better chance of it getting closer to $180 million opening weekend than $150 keep in mind I don't know how many of us there are. Also with it being just over 2 months away people could be waiting to get their ticket closer to the day because in their area is not a lot of people go to the theatres.

It will draw alot of initial traction bcoz of the cast. But they'll only stay if the story is good

I don't really think so, Barbie did a really huge hit!! D&W could reach 1B mark but over Barbie with almost 1.5B?? I dont think so, it's also given the fact that it's R- rated film.
