I don't care what anyone including Bill Murray says. I enjoyed the 2004 Garfield Movie (can't say the same about the sequel of course)

They "Why?" question could be asked for any movie. BTW they're giving out a free Garfield squishy toy at these preview showing.

Definitely seeing it

I'm sure it'll be entertaining for kids. For me, Garfield peaked with the Film Roman, Mark Evanier, Lorenzo Music iteration. Nothing that's followed has had the same bite. The Murray movies were decent, not great. But, I've no desire to hear Pratt's voice coming out of ANY established animated character.

I enjoyed passengers. I loved that movie

Looking at the reviews from The Garfield Movie, it's going to be good and better than Bill Murray's Garfield.

I got used to worldwide releases, but this movie came out a couple of weeks ago in my country. I liked it, but i wasn’t blown away.

I actually saw it when visiting my mom in Mexico (they got it early) and we both had fun

It’s not really surprising tbh, already done pretty decent early numbers in markets it’s already opened in and is the first big family film since Kung Fu Panda 4 (IF probably won’t do well due to it being an original film) and there isn’t another one till Inside Out 2 mid-June and who knows how that is gonna do with Disney being rocky recently. People laughed at Pratt for this and Mario but it’s seems that he’s got the last laugh as it looks like another win for him, probably won’t make a billion like Mario but will do well enough. Also, kinda funny how it’s opening against Furiosa and will probably beat that cos back when Fury Road came out people were surprised the more safe family friendly Pitch Perfect 2 did better than it

I don’t think they’re actually sold out. I think this is a free promotional screening that tickets were given away for. So for some reason it shows up on the app but no one can buy tickets. I’m pretty sure you can’t even click on the showtime if it’s legit sold out.

Garfield has been a famous character for decades so it's not that suprsing people are interested in seeing the movie

Have´t been the case for every popular or famous characters. But I do belive Garfield do have a modern presence thanks to the Bill Murray movies and the 3D animated show.

I am not a fan of Garfield but I really liked watching it growing up. I actually liked the live action movie and I read some of the comics and watched some of the cartoons.

They had previews for it in the UK last weekend and I don’t understand these strong reactions. It was absolutely unbearable.

Garfield is one of my favorite cartoon characters and I used to love watching Garfield and Friends reruns when I was a little kid back in the late 90s and early 2000s. Not interested in the movie though. Maybe I'll watch it when it streams.

I got a chance to see it yesterday and I honestly thought it was quite terrible. Strays too far from the source material to be a good adaptation but is just a bad movie on its own merit. Never seen a movie where the plot is so complex yet boring at the same time.

I couldn’t give less of a shit if people assume John says everything is going to be bad, honestly I think he has so much reason to automatically assume the worst and be pleasantly surprised if Hollywood cranks out a good movie nowadays because, let’s face it more often than not we get creators who don’t listen to fans of these properties and just churn out shitty product to make money, not saying that Garfield is going to automatically be shitty I’m just saying, at the end of the day, I see why John is that way for those who think he is always negative which, I don’t agree but, say what you will here. I automatically think a lot of times movies anymore are going to be bad or dumb because, 90 out of 100 movies I see in a year I would say turn out to be that, I’m not saying that Hollywood can’t make good movies, I’m just saying often times anymore they choose not to do so and make them just to get cash in their greedy ass pockets. If one of you tell me I’m absolutely incorrect about this, then you are a dumbass because, objectively looking at the film industry as a whole now in 2024 you can objectively agree with me there’s no way you can dispute that fact.
