Hail the Oceanborn!

Let's be realistic. Floor Jansen is a spectacular singer. But ..., Nightwish with Tarja is something special. This is my favorite concert. In short: Nightwish with Floor is an excellent band. Nightwish with Tarja is spectacular.

This show is one of my favorites in my collection. Tarja is amazing and the songs kick ass.

Swanheart from this same concert! From WIshes to Eternity....This dvd made me fall in love.

Another underrated song, from the same show, is Wanderlust.

In this concert I just love The Kinslayer and Deep Silent Complete ❤ Tarja will always be the incredible!

Surprisingly good quality video considering its around 20 years old.

I was on gig of this tour in Saint Petersburg. It was stunning! They are achieve mass of die hard fans there!

This show for how old it is, is fantastic. It’s in the early days without Marko This song is great and should be played live more. Great reaction. For a different side of Nightwish not usually seen, do more from this show including Walking In The Air, Come Cover Me, and Fantasmic

Thanks for your always good reaction to my loving song from my favourite album. Tarja's voice is so powerful dreaming vocals and all the members of the band in the best. Tuomas in hell with his fingers i can even saw them. Jukka the beast, especially in this song,he is absolutely amazing , Emmpu on fire 🔥 i like him in old songs,he enjoyed more power metal ,Sami Vaska's bass great i like the way who played with fingers and the Quest Tapio Wilska fantastic,i love him,he is friend with Tuomas and they had a band together before NW. He sung three songs in studio albums, Pharaoh sails to Orion, the devil and the deep dark ocean and 10tn man down. My favourite performance also with Tapio in the scene is in Raumanmeri festival in Finland,i used to hearing every single day once at least. Oceanborn and Wishmaster plus angels fall first and EP over the hills and far away, belonging to Tarja's era most,they are more operating than the next two albums and had more darkness. But i love and all the next albums and singers also. She is my sin and Swanheart from wishes to eternity and Kinslayer and Creek Mary's blood from the end of an era will be fine with NW and Tarja's vocals. Thank you again, but you make a mistake, no about the reactions you sometimes be ironical without to understand, like Tapio today. He is a respectable man with many supportes, it's bad to reference Meat loaf.

You missed Dark Chest of Wonders from ONCE he sang on that. Also Tumoas, Tarja, and Tapio separately recorded for Crewish's cover of it on their 2nd album TWICE.

One of the best songs of tarja's era. Hands down.

Tarja is amazing! She always "kill" the microphone. She is the best female vocalist I've ever heard! Her voice is a gift to the world.

Oceanborn! Still my favourite album.

You need to check out "Supremacy", a live performance by Tarja recorded at Woodstock in 2016. It's really really amazing!

"Trio Niskalaukaus" text on Tapio Wilskas right sleave. I did't know the band existed as early as that. I know Tuomas has collaborated with Trio Niskalaukaus at some point. Tuomas plays on the coming Kotiteollisuus album. The band leader released a picture with Tuomas playing the keys and the text: "The cantor is on the premises."

Always nice to watch some good old Nightwish - Power Metal edition. Also Tarja looked like a vampiress in this show (in the good way). And sounded fantastic. BTW Cavani is playing in Manchester United now!

I absolutely love this song. It's my favourite one from Oceanborn (in a way of: every other song 100%, and "Pharao" 110%). And this is a great reaction :-)

Great reaction once again. I like your fun facts. 😂 BTW that Meatloaf look-alike is none other than Tapio Wilska, who I believe at that time, was lead singer for Finntroll. He collaborated with several other huge names in the music industry, besides Nightwish, and is currently lead singer to some American or Canadian band. I'll have to look that up.

The venue is over a 100yrs old Tullikamarin Pakkahuone in Tampere. Max intake of 1200 ppl.

I have this concert on video cassette yes im that old. The guys name is tapia wilska Toumas' bestie i think. Nightwish with Tarja was much heavier than they are now. This was the bands best era in my opinion. Im surprised when they have a true metal singer the music is not as heavy.

I'm saying that the early nightwish days were more powerful and combined with the lyrics and Tarja's dark vocals made great music with some kind of magic that is gone. Listen to crownless...you won't find something that power that makes you want to jump and headbang...

They've been on the scene for around 25 years now, it's normal that they will change their sound, become more mature and complex with the lyrics, arrangement and production. You can always go back to the old albums, which I do myself every now and then, but I am soooo grateful that they can give me more than they did with their early albums. Their latest album did not sit very well with me at first, but with every new listening I started to admire it more and more, especially the lyrics and can't wait to see them live again. Some bands remain the same and that's OK, I personally lose interest with time in such bands, many clearly don't.

Nice reaction of this old jewel. (Done in Tampere 2000 and in the DVD one can see that the concert place is not that stadium where they were in 2015 but is a smaller gig hall). I like this song and performance one of the best early era songs. But I do not actually buy your critics of the comments by Tapio...I assume he just wants to raise the atmosphere after the warming up just done with the first songs. Remember also that NW is relatively new band for the crowd at this time. And he is a person of his own... ; )

Yeah i would add that this is one of toughest piece of NW- much more metal and surprisingly amazingly done it still gives me tht look: whaaaat omg, few pieces are like that like metal and going through amazing storytelling , maybe Master passion greed live would be smth he heee don t think will happen

Two things. You must react Xandria cover of Meat Loaf "I`d do Anything..." - this is pure f.. amazing cover. Second one. This is great time of NW. Now they are making music for musical snobs. Yeah, it`s still good but not as good as it was. Here we have fantastic instruments play...

You should react to the whole concert. The whole concert was posted a couple of days ago. I can give you a link. They were on fire the whole night.

The last album , IMHO, is a masterpiece. From a musical and lyrical point of view is way much better than this Nightwish. I love very much this Nightwish but I do not judge them as a simple power metal band... they are much more than that. They are on a league of their own.

I don't think I've heard this song before. But on the other hand I mainly listen to new Nightwish and very rarely any where Tarja is. But this is flat. Just flat. Boring. Same shit everyone else is doing in symphonic metal. And I'm even more amazed how some people are "Boohoo, bring Tarja back. Nightwish from Tarja's time was better." Heck no.
