Solid song. Great riffs and the instruments sound awesome. Nice solo too. The vocals sound a bit weird production wise, but the performance is really good. Hammerfall doesn’t evolve one bit but that’s OK they’re great at what they do.

Thank you for this! Rarely get to see any interviews from them. Such an underrated band. Saw them 2 days ago and man do they still kick ass! New stuff blends well with the older classics.
To me Diablo is a ridiclously underrated band even in finnish scene and especially abroad. Eternium is in my top 5 or even top 3 finnish metal albums ever, and that top 5 choice is easy, and I personally do think that there isn't a lot of albums that sound like Eternium and slay this fucking hard. It sounds unique, the guitars and vocals are so aggressive that it's hard to come up with references and it's all underlined with that 10 out of 10 points bass drum work. An absolute gem for any metal head to listen. Highlights of the album to me are Read my Scars, Queen of Entity and indeed The Preacher. That being said the album doesn't really have weak songs. A couple may sound a bit repetitive. I always get chills during the preacher, before the first chorus as Rainer growls out the "I'm going nowhere but down!" vocals with such pure aggression. Gotta love it.

Blackie is one the most underrated songwriters n vocalists in hard rock metal. What i love about wasp is the diversity of albums you hav serious emotional dark albums like this n then albums about sex, the devil, government, child abuse,religion, war, drug abuse etc

Goals as a Dad. Sharing stuff like this and getting into it with your son...well, for me and my wife: it is Nightwish. When eh was an infant with severe colic, we put on Nightwis's album Imaginarium (took my wife to their concert when she was 5 months pregnant with our son and she told me on the drive home that Jr. was rocking out the entire concert) so, while it is ironically funny that putting that album on the Yorx boombox and him settling down and crashed for the night in less than a minute, well, going on 12 years (including when he was a bun in the oven) Nightwish is still something he asks for. Even my wife, who I introduced to Nightwish, was shocked to how much Nightwish calmed our son down as an infant.

A good review. I think the mixing is a bit off on the album. Considering how good Simon Schillings drumming is, would have been fun to have a bit more modern sounding drums to hear them more imo.
