I never had a Problem with sequels. I love the idea of a sequel much more than a reboot or prequel.

It just depends on the original movie. For instance, it made more sense to give Monsters Inc a prequel because Monsters Inc gives James a character arc but we didn't know what he was like in the past before this change of heart.

Depends on the prequel. I am still hoping for a Harry Potter prequel about his parents' generation. His mom finding out about magic, the start of the sisters not getting along, his father finding his group of friends, learning how to transform, learning to stop being bullies, Snape's fall into the dark arts and the fall out of with Lily, the peak of Voldemort's times...I want to see it!!😭😭 lmao

The movie was great. Really cool seeing the Polynesian culture represented as a whole on the big screen. Hearing music I grew up with was awesome....but it ended well. Didn't need a part 2. If they were to explore another island with a new character and story than I'm all for it, other than that...neh lol. Edit : Still will watch bc I am poly and also I have nieces and nephews who love the movie so... There's that.

So the reason the Moana sequel seems to have come out of nowhere is because it was first announced at one of the D23 expos as a Disney plus SHOW. Then Iger came back and his team found out Moana was their most streamed property and decided to stitch the show together into a movie. It's not gonna be good. Auli'i and the Rock are dubbing over what the less expensive voice actors did, so its gonna sound stilted. LMM isn't coming back to write the songs, we'll be exceedingly lucky if its just okay.

We can all agree that animation is for everyone I’m very excited for Moana 2 but I’m more hyped for zootopia 2

Toy Story 4 made me angry if I am honest. I am hoping the next one wrap things up for me...like Woody finding Andy again. I would just turn into a crybaby mess. No thought about what Moana 2 should be but I am interested in it. Love the first one. ❤❤

Once again this is a major display of the internet’s hypocrisy, much like with Zootopia people for years kept saying they want another Moana, yet just like with the announcement of Zootopia 2 everyone has sporadically changed their minds and now doesn’t want them, hell yeah I want a Moana 2, the first movie was great, there’s definitely room for expansion so bring it on, as long as they create a great story for it I don’t think a sequel to anything is unnecessary, I just don’t get why so many people ask for something and then act like they don’t want it when they finally get it

Sometimes propositions for sequels really make me roll my eyes. It's all about the money.

More interested in the live action, but hopefully this will be good

oh god calling Zootopia "2ootopia" does sound like a bad movie title idea someone would create similar to Fan4stic.

disney doing originals isn't the problem. they just not that good. so are the sequel they dropping . but the reason why the sequel work lots better is that its like walking in a bad neighborhood, and friend comes along the walk, it make the neighborhood less bad. you get what im saying?!!

Disney has this thing now that if they have a perfect movie they wanna ruin its legacy with a sequel or another movie smh

I can't imagine this is going to be good. It's the first few episodes of the Disney+ show they were planning strung together to make a movie. It's a sad, desperate move that Disney is making due to their last few movies bombing. I'm not a fan of Disney/Pixar animated sequels to begin with and the fact that they're coming out with five in the next few years, is giving me "crappy straight to home video sequels" of the 90s/00s vibes. My two oldest kids loved Moana when it came out. They dressed up as Moana and Maui for Halloween, the soundtrack was all that was played in our car for about six months straight and it was the theme for my oldest daughter's birthday that year. So a lot of Moana love in our house but I highly doubt we'll be bothering with this.

Better a sequel than a live action remake (which I think they are still doing 🤢🤢)

Went and watched the video of Alan tudyk......IT WASN'T FUNNY AT ALL. 🙄 I hate they think they can speak for most people.
