I love “in other news section” Regarding the super chats here is my take: You should keep it as it is.. Reduce the customer effort! Super chats are great fast and live… I will take the opportunity to ask you if you will give a chance to The Bad Batch? 3rd season was awesoome!! You will like it!!

Regarding super chats, you mentioned this before how the reason you allow them to be sent in before the show starts is so you can monitor them. I think that’s why a lot of the questions can’t be about specific things you mention during the show. If you opened up the super chats later in the show we can actually comment on and ask specific questions pertaining to that day/show. Just a thought. Focusing more on member questions would also be great but ya

Just don’t take John to rangers game because they suck

1- I like the In Other News section 2- I prefer the Super Chats, but I'm ok with adding or replacing them with other message option in the main show.

In Other News - Keep it! If Super Chats are kept, maybe pause on turning them on till the segments start and then cut off at a certain number. I do not know if that is an option.

I enjoy "In other new" so i think you should keep it going.

Hey John! Sorry I missed part of the stream but glad I was able to show up and ask a question on this delightful AMA! As to your questions, the tip link change isn’t a bad idea, but what works for your show? Is it gonna be easy to attract new viewers if using a tip link is the main income for questions? We’ll all be down for whatever works for u! In order news is also great, gives attention to some smaller news stories that we’d love to hear u and the crew discuss but can’t always due to time. But maybe when doing the clips of the show, the in other news could be one video instead of being 5-6 different minute long videos.

Love in Other News. and I prefer superchats because you had once tried the same thing before based on the same reason of KZread taking the cut. However, the questions you were receiving were less and outdated when people were using streamelements. I completely agree as the KZread cut seems to be very steep. The only solution that is coming to mind is that Jonathan or yourself could put in a little extra effort and filter for the stream elements questions for that particular days topics based on the date. Then answer the additional ones in Open Mic.

In other news... I love it!!

Love "In Other News", allows conversation on broader slate of current topics without taking away emphasis from the important ones For Super Chats, one option could be opening them mid-show, encouraging more "live response" type chats Either way, transition felt pretty seamless, still love the show!

I second the Stormlight Archive books! But I'd recommend the Mistborn trilogy as a starter for Brandon Sanderson over the Stormlight Archive.

How I look at the in other news is that for someone like me if you did not cover it I would not know so I’m glad you let us know. Hopefully, that makes sense.

I really hope you get Stormlight Archives they are amazing books each one is around 1200 pages but the story is so good. It made me want to help people with depression and other mental health issue as mush as i can in my law enforcement career.

I like In Other News as it both adds a few more topics and something can come up that you can then go into further detail on during the next days show also I think SuperChats is the better option for you when it comes to taking questions on the show

In other news is awesome. Just one small critique. When uploading the separate segments, I believe in other news should just be one separate video. Having each In other news topic as it's own video that are about only 1 or two minutes kinda makes the video archive look a little muddy imo.

Definitely liking 'In Other News' - nice way to get a snippet of opinions on more movie news that doesn't need deep commentary. As for Super Chats, I'd say consider keeping them for the convenience to others on the main show, but only open them when the last main topic is going, with a smaller full window, and then aggregate the sentiment of a few regular comments. Tip Link is better for you, obviously with less taken out, but it won't make sense alienating people who don't want that extra step or limiting it to non-main shows.

I like super chats… But maybe open them as you open the show So that viewers can craft timely responses? I’m sure your percentage from 15% would increase. Then again, I also endorse open mic super chats as well… I think it really comes down to what works best for you. What matters most for me on your shows is that they are run with fluidity Thanks for everything :-)

I think you're pretty correct 43:55 @John. Balancing screen time with 5-6 characters while Wolverine is the draw is a strong first step, but they also need to establish just enough of a story that would encourage the general audience to follow that character into their own film, not just screen time. Something of significant story importance needs to build up. I can imagine a solid X-Men film (including but not starring Wolverine) that touches on Corsair being kidnapped by the Shi'Ar, and the Shi'Ar interest in Jean's potential to host the Phoenix, and some dread important "goings-on" in the Shi'Ar imperium, would interest audiences to follow Cyclops into a "solo" film (once he wasn't portrayed as a dud in the ensemble film). They just have to find that interesting thing for each they wish to spin out. I'd say Storm strikes me as someone who could get seats in theatres solo, but far more if she's given a good bit of development in an ensemble X-Men film first.

I wish the Super Chats were not turned on until later in the show. That way people can see that you've already discussed a thing and not duplicate comments or react to something that you've talked aboutduring the show.

I like the segment of in other news, but maybe as a suggestion I know it would be extra work, but maybe put a polo and see if there are any of those topics fans would like extended information on and maybe have one or two of those topics that have the highest poll is one of the topics for the next segment of the showjust an idea in case there’s one that fans may want further information on

This is better (Home studio), In-Other-News - OK with it (but if the segment is burning more resources ... just axe it), Tip Link - Better, more interactive, and also no brainer from the biz POV ( 30% vs 5%)

36:02 Did we even know with the original trilogy that Obi Wan hid Luke from Vadar? I thought that wasn't revealed until the prequels. If so, then those movies created that problem

In other news - is great - love the quick hit approach - and John will get better at the reads with more practice. I have used superchats w you before - but - had made sure to get in early (before show starts) to ensure my question was covered. I have looked at the other option (tip link) but have not submitted anything there.. knowing now that youtube takes 30% cut is disappointing. Will consider going to tip link. Overall - if you want to have more equitable access to getting audience questions on the show. eliminating superchats from Main show and putting them just on Open Mic the way to go. Ask Anything - a fun format - doesnt really look much Diff than open Mic as you answer any question there. i DO admit though - that being able to ask question just in Chat like you did was enjoyable. Paywall to have ability to ask you a q still a bummer sometimes.

In other news is awesome! I’d love to see some of the games you used to play come back though! And when it comes to Super chats v. tip link questions - I hate that when the show starts that the viewers questions are usually fully or about to be full. I think I would have TJCS tip link be for viewer questions and just postpone that discussion for the next day. Then have a brief rundown and review of the previous day’s topics with a discussion from the those tip link questions on the air there. Would be a different segment altogether. Then leave the super chat for ask me anything, open mic, etc. just a thought.

Dude they're about to make a movie about Falcon. They have an Antman trilogy. The MCU and X-Men name means people will show up. They could start with Wolverine solo, why bring them all together immediately? They want to make 2 damn movies a year... It's not like the original movies where they need to pack so much into one movie. That's what makes this universe great
