They can’t cast Zendaya as Moana because she should be Polynesian or from some islander background

Zendaya is older than Auli’li Cravalo, so if that’s the case, they might as well bring her back for live action. Plus, they already said they are looking for a Hawaiian actress.

Exactly! I was confused when he mentioned Zendaya when the actual Moana voice actor is younger and a better singer and Hawaiian.

If zendaya can pass as moana then so can auli carvalho shes literally only in her 20's.

Moana came out 8 years ago, I'm all in on a live action and watch this with my kids.

Auli'i Cravalho is 4 years younger than Zendaya, lol.

Zendaya still looks like a young teenager It will work. Some people age slower

Nah part of the appeal with Moana movie was that she didnt looked like traditional disney princess or supermodel, she had more heavier build and just looked more like real native. Zendaya is pretty much definition of "slim supermodel" look i think she would be wrong choice.

Is this a live action Moana movie based on the first movie or the second movie? Like are they recreating the first Moana movie or the sequel movie

I do think that it’s a hair too early for them to be doing a live action Moana seeing as how the first movie is just under a decade old but I thought Moana was great and so I’m interested to see this one, especially seeing The Rock now playing the live action version of the same character he played in the animated movie

I think this movie is a really bad idea. Why would Disney make Moana 2 and a remake of Moana at the same time?? Dwayne Johnson wanted a project to stroke his ego after Black Adam flopped and he chose this.

I liked beauty and the beast live action film

It is way to early for making a live action version. I've never been the biggest fan of the remakes, but there have been a few enjoyable ones like The Jungle Book and Cruella. However, Lion King 2019 was mainly just a shot for shot repaint of the original. So what was really the point aside from showing of the realistic CGI? I need to see a trailer first before I can say I am looking forward to it or not. But I'll probably just wait to see it on Disney+ if it gets good enough reviews.

Im not paying to go see the rock playing the same character as always! And i think alot of people are feeling the same way 🤔

Remaking an animated movie in live action when it isn't even 10 years old is insane. This film is going to flop just like The Little Mermaid did, and so will Snow White XD

I mean a lot of them are unnecessary because they don’t add anything to the originals. I enjoy and watch them too but some are definitely unnecessary

I'm excited and I think Zendaya would be STUNNING as Moana! I don't think she'll be cast, but she'd be my first choice, hands down!

be nice about remakes and sequels

I personally would not have brought the rock over to live action, just keep him as a producer. I think Ian Tongi, last years winner of American idol would have been a perfect Maui. He has a great voice, and he’s native Hawaiian.

Nah more like trying to brand himself which works but , if he wants serious acting he needs to stop playing the same role, pain and gain was one of the movies where he did not play himself and I for one loved cause he stole the show with his acting

it doesn’t matter if a sequel and a remake can be made at the same time because everyone is being so mean about the movie and tv show entertainment industry if we are not going to be nice about our world then our world will start crashing down in everything we can change our world by being nice not being racist or sexist not lying telling the truth when it’s going to hurt the person’s feelings because everything mean we say will has come out so mean online because all of the mean words we say will be online forever so we need to watch what say and how we say things because if you don’t have anything nice to say then don’t say nothing anything negative anymore at all because our words and our actions can hurt when we are not being nice or honest we have to learn from our own past mistakes that we made in our past lives so we can have a future because we are not perfect people we make mistakes but we should never lie including actors and actresses we are all humans we should never lie always tell the truth because our world is falling apart and want can continue to change our world by by being honest and positive about things we can change for the better
