Lucien Carbin & All-Style Muay Thai Brendan Dorman Breakdown Highlights
Lucien Carbin is a Surinamese-Dutch former kickboxer, karateka and widely considered one of the most accomplished and unique striking coaches in modern history. Carbin, via trial and error, always sought to be a MIXED martial artist in regards Kickboxing / Muay Thai. This was the impetus of "Carbin All-Style Muay Thai" at the Fighting Factory Carbin, in Amsterdam.
He was the first European champion in Kyokushin karate. Carbin was also was a world champion in Kickboxing and European Champion in Savate and Muay Thai. As a coach, he raised 49 world champions in different versions of martial arts. The two students I will focus on here are two friends in Tyrone Spong, and Priscilla Davids (on Instagram @pris.dam ). Some amazing technical pad work, and eventually the pipe dream of seeing a World-Class, versatile and athletic striker competing in MMA a la Spong's debut in WSOF.
Carbin has trained a list of who's who including: Alistair Overeem, Rob Kaman, Gilbert Yvel, Ilonka Elmont, Sergio Wielzen, Andy Ristie, Frank Lobman, James McSweeney, Rodney Glunder, and Tiffany van Soest.

I was honestly thinking this when I first saw the video!!! I got to meet and learn a bit from Ajarn Nurse once at a Pennsylvania seminar with my top top head instructor, Ajarn...... The Great Ajarn Chai. Nurse was so cool, humble and eager to spread his knowledge and love for the game and I was just as happy and eager to receive it and learn. 🙏🏼🤙🏼💙💯

yeah she's phenomenal, someone told me Lucien (who's always had great female students btw, Carmont etc) had this cute girl a little younger than myself that was incredibly fast twitch with perfect technique, so I reached out and now we cool... Anywho, well said re: balance, reallly good example of kinesthetic IQ I speak about often. She really does epitomize that. I've seen her hit pads for an hour straight and she's fire......crazy man.

He sure is, he thanked me for making this and I’ve become friends with some (more) of his students after making this. OG’s of the game don’t tend to be so kind unless I know them (Renzo, Ray Longo) or they’re just obsessed like me (Lucien, Bas). Pris I’ve known for a little over a year and her technique is cleaner than most guys honestly
