*EDIT* I was so happy to get this done for everyone, and now it's totally frozen. I have a 3rd party count the views, and they were at 1300 in the first two hours, since then I've received 2 likes. I don't want to play click-bait games, and there's just no way my old channels did 100x the views or more. The game is rigged, but I'm about done playing. I don't know if people are sharing etc., but the numbers are fraudulent every time now, and it's beyond discouraging... If you did share this anywhere (twitter/IGram/FBook etc.) let me know, or if you know how dog shit channels get the views they do, let me know that too. Hello all, I tried to cover it as I see fit, and condensed a smidge, as to not just cater to my smarks. If anyone has questions about technique in this fight, especially striking (topical), just put as a comment and I'll get to it at some point. Part 2 will be on the grappling and likely a little more "fancy", as there is more to (starting to loathe this word) unpack. As always all links in description, and please share where you care.....it makes a tremendous difference. Much love, cheers

charles oliveira is the best Ducker champion in ufc history ultimate Quitter coward he ducked islam makhachev in 2019 and he ducked Beniel Dariush in October 3rd 2020. He is most weaked champion in ufc. he is fake ufc champion because he is scared & afraid to fight high-level wrestlers and grapplers. Oliveira is just overrated and overhyped by the end of 2024 he will become a double digit loser and gate keeper of the division he will have 1 dozen losses, double digit losses after loosing to islam makhachev he will just become Tony Ferguson 2.0 elcucuy 2.0. i Really hope his follow ups fights after loosing to islam will not be Mateusz Gamrot, Beniel Dariush, Arman Tsarukyan, Damir ismagulov, Rafael Fiziev and Guram kutateladze otherwise he will go on a 7 fight loosing streak.

The Real Reason why charles oliveira started calling out conor mcgregor and nate diaz is to Duck islam makhachev, beneil dariush and mateusz gamrot. he is just Running from islam. Charles Oliveira after post fight octagon interview after beating justin gaethje he said he wants to take Rest and comeback in january 2023 my Question is why he wants to take 8 months off after loosing belt by missing weight, if he was a True champion he should Try to get his belt back as soon as possible he should comeback in September to get his belt back. How will he get his belt back ? By beating contenders not by beating conor mcgregor and nate diaz. instead of getting his belt back this Ducker oliveira wants to fight with conor and nate at 170 pounds. bcuz he knows very well to get his belt back he should fight contenders like islam makhachev and Beniel Dariush, he is afraid to fight islam and Beniel therefore he is calling out conor mcgregor and nate diaz. Look at him he is so scared to fight islam and Beniel he doesn't even want to get his belt back, he is more than Willing To loose his belt rather than fighting islam he will Rather give up his belt just to avoid fighting Beniel. Oliveira Decided to not get his belt back and instead fight diaz and mcgregor at 170 so that he can Run away from islam makhachev and Beniel Dariush.

i believe charles oliveira will pull out of the fight with islam makhachev on 22nd October 2022 ufc 281 Like he pulled out of his fight with Beniel Dariush on 3rd October 2020. i believe mateusz gamrot or beniel dariush will Replace oliveira to fight islam bcuz oliveira is going to fake an injury to get out of the fight. charles oliveira is Afraid to fight Beniel Dariush and islam makhachev. Charles Oliveira was already Scheduled to fight Beniel Dariush on October 2020, Oliveira said he has family problems and he pulled out of the fight and very next day he started calling out Tony Ferguson, oliveira knows Beniel is a stylistically very hard fight for him, Beniel Dariush has High level jiu-jitsu, grappling and wrestling. Charles Oliveira was scared & afraid to fight Beniel Dariush. if oliveira Truly has a family problem why he is calling out Tony Ferguson day after Tommorrow he pulled out of dariush fight. Oliveira knew Ferguson is a easy fight and Tony's prime time is finished. He just saw Tony Ferguson as stylistically easy fight who is already damaged by justin gaethje. charles oliveira Ducked Beniel Dariush in October 3rd 2020 fight of the night mainevent in fight island 4th event Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Charles Oliveira only wants to fight with strikers with zero grappling, zero wrestling, zero jiu-jitsu & zero judo skills,!.

Let's Be honest guys before signing the contract to fight islam charles oliveira did everything he could to Run away from islam makhachev. Let's be Real Guys charles oliveira before signing the contract to fight makhachev he tried his best to duck islam makhachev. ufc forced charles ufc put pressure on oliveira to sign the contract to fight islam makhachev or else they would've made Beniel Dariush/michael chandler vs islam makhachev for the vacant lightweight belt in October 22nd Abu Dhabi ufc 280. michael chandler started calling out islam makhachev that he will fight islam for the vacant lightweight belt. chandler said to charles oliveira step aside if you want to fight with conor mcgregor and not interested in fighting islam then i will fight makhachev for the vacant lightweight belt. chandler also started saying if charles Refuses to fight with islam makhachev then i michael will fight islam makhachev for the vacant lightweight belt then oliveira got scared bcuz he will loose his championship fight and loose his world title therefore he agreed to fight with islam makhachev. ufc literally forced charles oliveira to take this fight with islam. Charles Oliveira is Afraid & Scared to fight high level grapplers & wrestlers like Beniel Dariush and islam makhachev,.

Charles Oliveira has proved himself and then some and I think he already deserves to be in HOF. But that being said, I won’t be surprised if Islam finishes him in 1. Charles pressure striking will close the distance, and Islam might level change quick to top control to dominant position (top control is his and Khabib’s schtick) and finally submission. On the other hand I see the opposite as not very likely, Charles may win early if he back takes soon but back taking on Dagestanis is difficult! He may outstrike Makachev in the later rounds but it’s hard to believe that he can escape Islam’s takedowns by then. I hope the best fighter that night wins, good luck to both. My money’s on Islam!

I think we are all thinking that its going to be a grabbling and on the ground fight when they both have the tools to outsmart each other, "Usman v Colby", it could be a 1 round ko but it also could be a five round war, I 100% thought Chandler had Charles but as we seen with Chandler, porire, and geathie all were very dismissive about Charles chances, this is a fight for the ages and hopefully one of the best all round fights of 2022 ....good luck to both fighter's...

@@garyclarke2385 True that mate! I had Charles winning all 3 (Chandler, Poirer, Gaethje) since I rewatched all his fights after that Paul Felder loss, I knew something had changed but the same can be said for Makachev after that Martins loss! This one is truly a different fight and just the match up itself will go down in history since both are very evenly matched until they meet in the octagon. Let's say, I won't be surprised if either of them wins.

@@seamus4055 honestly people just see someone having success and get biased for them. Charles beat Chandler, Poirier and Gaethje, sure. But he got dropped in all these fights, and the opponent didn't grapple afterwards for fear of Charles' BJJ. But would Islam, a Sambo world champion, be afraid of grappling? And so it went, Charles got knockdown by the same southpaw right hook that Gaethje and Poirier dropped him with, and then finished it quickly with a choke. And even before that Islam was winning both standup and in the ground, it was pretty predictable for me, but people may just look at a guy that has defended his belt for a year and think "he's unbeatable". Love Charles tho, great guy and fighter.

@@benscanIan try doing some 'pot clinching' or bare handed clinching with ALL strikes being about 10-15%, but grappling power/speed anywhere from 50=99%. If you're a striker first, you'll have more to learn about the placement of your hips, grip and grip types, but you'll have an advantage with angles to create opportunity. Obviously reverse sentiment for grapplers. Also brother, besides Ajarn Phil and a few local cats, my Thai plum got a lot better by studying before sparring. I remember there was a Mailepet video here on KZread that was wonderful, some things with Petch etc. and one of the biggest leaps for me (a striker first, but I can choke a bitch too) personally was grip adjustments to manipulate, and I sort've combined it with my odd Judo, low kick heavy game eventually. Like pinching your elbows close toward their solarplexus, hands like your catching water from a fountain, fingertips to crest of their head (back of) alone is worth something.....THEN try simply turning your hand over into a gable grip, and leave a little space to put one elbow higher than the other and pivot in the lower direction. It's simple if you can see it, but incredibly effective. Love the challenging questions, but I rant too much haha, cheers

Islam does mistakes when trying to pressure in the stand up (for example he got dropped to his knee by a counter uppercut by Davi Ramos), would Islam keep it standing as he did with Ramos? Thanks firstly, and I think I’m the only one who understands it that does this, honestly. Dan Hardy, who I like, and I went back and forth on Khabibs striking, Rogan too, but in the end I was right. They’re better at grappling than everyone else, so they grapple. Why would Izzy become an offensive wrestler? Takedown Defense may need a tweak, but again it’s defense. I believe Islam is a much more calculated striker than people understand when they don’t see the logic behind it….or they’re rooting. Charles doesn’t have the type of footwork to dance differently. Islam actually has better footwork for my dollar, but Charles is a risk taker, and a highlight reel for it. But dropping Chandler Poirier and Gaethje makes you everyone else they’ve fought lately, Islam will surprise people unless the moment gets to him or he slips on a banana peel.

Good analysis. Islam has excellent striking. I totally agree that this fight will be determined by who's controlling distancing on the feet before it hits the mat. Charles does have a 4 inch reach advantage and a deadly right cross and left hook. Those are his best weapons against a guy like Islam in my opinion. The kicks will be a lot more risky for CO and same with the clinch work as this video shows. CO surprised me vs Poirier with how much he was willing to engage on the feet. Most top analysts were saying Charles needed to keep his distance with body kicks and then take Poirier to the ground. Instead, Charles went into Poirier's pocket with all his Muay Thai skills and got those body shots in which I think ended up winning him the fight (even tho he lost the first round but it payed off cuz Poirier looked exhausted by R3 like he couldn't breathe). With Islam we may see a similar 'surprise' by CO. I wouldn't be shocked if CO flips the script and tries to takedown Islam. In some ways, CO reminds me of Jon Jones. Jones would do wrestling against the best wrestlers to their bewilderment. I think this fight might actually be a bit...boring and not for casuals. Both these guys have very high fight IQ and respect one another's skills so it may take some rounds before the action really starts.

as for now by the state of LW div the only way all of other Makhachev' opponents win if he is being slightly reckless, but that slightly reckless Makhachev had long gone, and of course unfortunate events like injury, i am much much more excited for his match up vs Shavkat, Chimaev, Colby or Usman (but i feel he is not there anymore aka retired when that happen) if he really move up like he said..

He’s so calculated that it scares me almost as much as being reckless. It’s the stage that Khabib was so comfortable on, that if Islam can handle, I agree w/ 155 being his for a bit. Khamzat barely makes 170, and Shavkat is an amazing fight but they’re friends, so idk. Anywho, he can beat most 170lb fighters as well surely.

And while I suppose anything is possible in an MMA fight, I also recall Charles getting pounded out by Felder, getting controlled on the ground by Lee until Lee gassed out. I just hope they keep this same energy when fight night has come and gone because...damn.

I'll be honest about this , I haven't really watched any Islam fights , again it's just because I know that he's going to walk through his aponnents, this fight right here really intrigues me, I can't pick the winner for the life of me, I'd go back to the GEATHIE fight and what justin said to Charles after the fight, "man you hit like a truck" !!!, so in the longest time I can't pick the winner of this fight. For 1 we are all expecting it to be a battle on the ground , remember Usman v Colby??? Two great wrestlers and the two went to war on the feet, I really hope we get to see the very best of both fighter's, and as usual I always say "MAY BOTH FIGHTER'S WALK INTO THE OCTAGON AND OUT THE VERY SAME WAY " AND LET THE BEST GAME PLAN WIN....

These people will move hell and high water to believe that a mere weight cut is somehow the difference between a champion and a non-champion in one of the most competitive divisions. Hypocrites.

As a Olivera fan it’ll be unfair to not give the credit where it is due. Islam imo has better striking than Khabib , people give Islam slack cz he has same grappling attributes but is shadowed by the amateurish/unorthodox striking of Khabib imprinted on their mind & cz he resorts to be grappling heavy the striking aspect is not on full display. I’m no expert like you , but from all the years of watching the game I can extrapolate few probabilities that are very significant to this matchup Heavy Bjj base fighters naturally accept guard , olivera does that too. Islam has very high TD rate & the eagles have a game specially developed based on immobilising -retaining- ground strikes- advancing-sub threat all intermixed. In simple words Islam is skilled to put the work on olivera when he manages to secure any of 1 positions , and it’s only downhill as the fight progresses Heavy grappling/wrestling base fighters with a elite top game & good offensive/defensive sub ability tend to dominate heavy bjj base fighters. Even if there’s stalemate/less activity judges still favour the top guy unless bottom throws sub offence/strikes which will be hard as how smart Islam is with his positioning &pressure leaving less room for openings. I remember Javier saying in McGregor fight “Father plan” , 🦅 camp is smart & will avoid trading , giving olivera any chance to capitalise standing. They’ll resort to taking fight to ground as early as possible due & their supreme belief in their style of ground game. Imo it’s either an early finish for either of guys or Islam by decision

This is such a hard fight to predict. I can see everything from total domination from islam to a wild crazy and short fight, where charles fineshes him somehow. The only thing I guess i predict is that if the submission-sequence starts on the feet it's charles that initiates it (Guillotine, etc.). If the it goes for the 25 min most likely Islam is going to be the winner. I dont't think that charles knocks him out in round 1 and islam is not riding him like a horse. The longer it goes the more i think the winner s gonna be islam. But besides from a scramble after a hard punch connected I can not really imagine it that islam lands in a Submission hold. btw with gamrot and tsarukyan in the background their most dangerous opponents are still out there.

@@RyanPortland420 there has to be something there to hit and Islam is the least hit fighter in UFC history. Poirier, Gaethje, Chandler. These dudes were all content to strike and weren't enthusiastic about the ground game, for good reason no doubt. Do you think it's easier to take someone down as they walk forward or circle? Charles can afford to push forward against people that aren't a match in the submission game because the takedown threat means little, he can counter it wirh his guard. Well, this dude's name literally means to submit... We can't say Charles BJJ is greater than Islam's overall.grappling game, because high level Dagestani freestyle wrestling+judo+Cage wrestling (different from freestyle wrestling)+ BJJ > BJJ. There is more Islam can show that Charles may have never seen, whereas it doesn't go the same way with Charles. What we may see is CHARLES getting pushed back instead of moving forward, either manually in the clinch or from a TD attempt, or on his own to avoid going down again. If you're fighting someone with a massive advantage in the TD game, and you're unable to sub or KO him, your chances of winning are nil. Islam doesn't usually take people down to their guard. It's almost always already an advantageous position. From there, he starts giving you clear choices and none are good. Shrimp this way, give up the back. Shrimp the other way, give up the mount. Try to get up, get thrown. Stay here and get punched. It's a counter based grappling style, or *contra*. This idea is prevalent in many facets of Russian strategy, from wrestling and sambo and even to chess. You do this, I do that. It's not necessarily putting you down on the ground or moving you with force or athleticism, it's simply reacting to the decision the opponent makes by adhering to principles in a given position. Reactions are built in. This is also true about chess players in Russia. It's called Russian schoolboy chess. Adhere to a set of principles focused on defense and provoking opportunity. No need to be flashy, but punish the other player's mistakes mercilessly. You don't see Islam or Khabib jumping for an armbar or trying to guillotine. They're methodical and slow in their approach on the ground. Look for Chuck to get taken down in every round, become exhausted and eventually lose through TKO or sub. He may last the distance. I doubt it. Hard to carry a 175 lb backpack for 25 minutes that is simultaneously trying to kill you.
