Deiveson Figueiredo & Quantum Power || A Skill Study

Спорт

Deiveson Alcântara Figueiredo, the UFC's current Flyweight Champion, is #13 in the UFC men's pound-for-pound rankings after going 19-1 with an astounding 16 finishes at 125 lbs.
Normally my advice to anyone listening is that when it comes to technical ability in combat sports, normally we would look at the smaller weight classes (with exception, GSP was very well-rounded) as a framed video of what to do right technically. Figueiredo, with that astonishing mix of power and submission skills teeters on the line of risk taker, but only has one loss by decision in his career.
With now two convinving wins over one of the best 125ers ever in Benavidez I believe the world will take notice of this little monsters skills, as I myself have been reluctant to cover him too.

You asked for the best........but he's beating up UFC fighters, so instead you have me breaking down the newest champion on the roster. If indeed he's fighting Cody next, who do you have and how?

I got Figgy all day. Cody has great boxing but I don't see that being nearly enough and if he has a bad cut he's fucked.! If Figgy takes him down and I suspect he will, well we know how that ends.

The only one beating Figgy at 125 is USADA. He'd give a lot of top 35ers big problems and probably will when/if he moves up. Brilliant breakdown as always Unless Cody has an exceptional camp and weight cut he's getting knocked out early.
