I’ve never seen any KZread recommendations. I just started doing this for fun and never got into the whole “how to get more subs” thing. I didn’t know they recommended videos that short. It seems like 40 minutes is just right to tell a full story. Sometimes I cover a case that just doesn’t have a ton of info available and the episode is short, but I prefer longer. Next season the episodes will all be pretty long.

This case is by far one of the most sinister get captivating serial killer cases out there. The difference of the two guys back there aren't you guys to begin with secret for so long together when they obviously had some other issues going on it's just fascinating. Usually serial killers tend to focus on the marginalized people in society and yet these guys didn't and were able to get away with it for a very longtime I'm excited for this episode I've just started it and look forward to that tagline to know it begins this is monsters. Keep up the great work
Even as horrible as this was, I’m kind of glad that you were able to relay it in a way that might be more palpable for people. The details of what they did to people, including a baby, and his mother… I honestly think this is the worst case of inhumanity I’ve ever seen in relation to true crime.
Just rewatched this after finding an article of Sheryl Okoro's (victim) biological daughter speaking out on the difficulties she had growing up, finding out she was adopted at 10 and feeling abandoned, to finding out the horrific truth that her mother was unfortunately slain by the hands of these monsters.. It's gut wrenching to think how one person's actions can deeply affect the lives of many, especially children, and be of no concern to that person whatsoever. Life is so short and unpredictable. Hug your kids extra hard today.. 💔

A channel I watch when I have nothing else to binge did a survey today "asking if you could only watch one YT channel, which one would it be" ..... this one, this one is my favorite.
“A man can never have too many vices.” - Charles Ng, probably
Cricket was in this up to her neck yet she's walking around free and clear.
This one is so sicking. I was young when Ng was on the loose, lived in Saskatchewan Canada and remembered a warning about him. I remember being at my friends house and his dad sat on the front porch with his bat, ready for Charles. Crazy and scary at the same time. Luckily he was arrested in a province west of Saskatchewan.
This story always stuck with me. Thank you for covering this one. Two horrible men and one women too
I grew up in Calgary and lived in the area where Charles Ng was hiding out before he was captured. It scared the hell out of our community when he was 'discovered' to have been hiding out here... It was also really annoying that our laws meant that we had to feed, house and clothe that poor excuse for a human being for almost 5 years (if memory serves), while the extradition process worked its way out. Everyone knew that he was going to get the death penalty and nobody here wanted to be responsible for taking that away... Ironic how things have turned out.. Life sentence for him anyway...

I grew up in Calaveras County but s lot higher up the mountain on Hwy 4. Fortunately left in '76 and soon moved to north-central Washington state, south of Penticton, B.C. Never heard of this case until stumbling across it on the internet. Outright gruesome and sad for the victims
Last time another channel covered this story I tried to listen to it but it was so convoluted that after trying to listen to it 3 times I gave up. Ng had a job at Dennis moving co. In San Fran. ...lake killed people for profit gain , killed the best man at his wedding and was cashing his social security benefits ...killed his brother as well and started cashing his social security benefits as well .
This duo along with their girlfriend were definitely insane in the membrane. The Miranda Tapes movie about this case was very well made.
I've heard this vile couple before but not in this much detail. Thank you. I love this channel and how much detail you give.
So basically, Leonard should have joined the FLDS Cult.
The way I read it the property belonged to Cricket through her family. She was supposed to meet Detectives there the next day for a search. Instead she went there immediately upon their parting ways and spent the whole night and early morning cleaning the property of anything that may point to her guilt or involvement in the crimes. Anyone else heard it this way?
@poindextertunes

yes. and more than likely the cops planned it that way. Lake and Ng made snuff tapes for elites. were talking very influential ppl who can pull all the strings. thats how they got away with it for so long.
@MsPopeye65
Жыл бұрын
Yes. She made out that she knew nothing… but years later it was kinda proved that there was a lot of circumstantial evidence that pointed to her implication in the crimes…. As you said… she did go into the property and try and hide/ destroy evidence… and her involvement in Ngs escape …. I believe that they committed far more murders than those that were identified…. And I think these people were some of the worst examples of the evils of mankind ( and woman kind !)…. They were totally heartless and ruthless…. Just vile.! So was the ex wife involved?… undoubtedly imo .. (allegedly of course!)😂

From what I remember, there was evidence that a number of tapes were missing - likely removed by Cricket and destroyed. Just like Carla Homolka, Myra Hindley and others, I think Cricket had a much greater role in these tortures and murders. And just like Carla, she got away with it. I would imagine that back then it was still thought that only the men would be involved in these types of crimes.
Man...I knew their story...or so I thought! Always ready to hear it from you, sir!
I really appreciate the time and effort you put into these videos. You are one of my favorites on YT, and your voice is amazing. Thanks for all your hard work, and keep it up
It's amazing how some people can get away with murder over and over again, while other perpetrators are caught in a day or two, convicted and put away.
@kenyattaclay7666
Жыл бұрын
That’s because the overwhelming majority of murders are are committed by someone they know. Stranger on stranger murders are the most difficult to solve and most likely to go cold. However in this case it was just bad police work which is how they were able to get away with it for so long. There were just too many connections that led to them that the police ignored.
I'm stating this from the Asian point of view and growing up with a tiger mom. I actually feel bad for Charles Ng parents only having one child, who is a boy. I bet they had high hopes for him.

There is something not right with those that engage in such activity.
I remember hearing about this case years ago on Investigation Discovery I think. One thing left out is why Leonard killed himself. From what I remember is he actually did a couple of days in jail and it spooked him. Spooked him enough that he kept saying to other people that he would rather kill himself than go back.
As a Canadian, I hate that it took so many years to hand that monster over to serve justice. I know Charles played the system, asking for a bench trial, which is only in front of a judge rather than a jury and means stiffer sentences, but he should have been gone from Canada much sooner
