This is happening in my family to my sweet niece in rural Vermont, too as i write this. My nephew-in-law became a jesusfreakbornagain, dragged my niece into it (5 kids....) and he started a church to get money about 2 years ago. He's, of course, "the pastor". I hope she can get out but so far is saying is just nodding along to the pastor. Naturally, the pastor will only speak "jesus". The poor kids...did I mention she's homeschooling them, too?!? My biggest fear is that eventually they'll be a story on this channel. The situation is stereotypically "classic", unfortunately. The pastor has a bunch of guns.
Attempted suicide 13 times? With that much practice you'd think he'd get it right.

I wonder if the basement girl subplot in the 2016 movie "Don't Breathe" was inspired by this story. I looked it up, and people seem to think the movie was inspired by the Byron Davis Smith killings. Still, it's unusual that Gary Heidnik kept the girls in his dungeon to produce offspring like that movie. Bullalo Bill only wanted their skin, and Byron Davis Smith only wanted revenge against people who burglarized him. Maybe it's just a coincidence, but this sick crime seems to resemble that movie more. Also, I always thought Buffalo Bill character was based on Ed Gein. Hmmm🤔

I woke up to no notification, I don’t know what’s going on, checked all my settings, 👍🏻👍🏻I was scrolling, and there was his upload, it’s always coffee and this is monsters here in Florida✌🏻
These cops are some of the most incompetent I've ever seen. They completely failed these girls in every way.
HE DID WHAT? HE FED THE FIRST DEAD GIRL TO THE OTHER GIRLS? THIS one is truly is MONSTERS. rip.. damn
Thank you Jiles! Happy 2023 🎉❤
This man doesn't in any way shape or form represent a true follower of Christ. As a Christian we are to love others and all he did was torture. This was by far the hardest story I've ever listened to, completely heartbreaking 😢
What’s sad is that I’m NOT surprised AT ALL let alone shocked!!! Perhaps it’s the fact that I’m an avowed and PROUD Atheist (as well as a Fully Disabled Combat Veteran) but I’m more surprised when I hear that religious people AREN’T the problem!!!

Me too
The fact that this channel has such a voluminous cache of crimes to draw from should be sickening in it's own right. From my perspective, this country was never great. It has a high capacity of tolerating and fostering evil. It still surprises me that the population is shocked at the global disdain of America.
These poor women! Its shocking that any of them survived this. I can't imagine the hell these poor women went through. Absolutely horrifying & extremely sad😭😭 God bless thier souls. 💔
This is one of the eeriest stories. This chapter related to torture is by far the case's that creep me out more than anything else.
Thanks for sharing ❤
If there can be anything worse than what these psychopaths do, it can only be that they involve their victims in their evil activities and get them to do your deeds.
thank you for being consistent ❤🙏🏽 it DOESN’T GO unappreciated!!!
Giles nobody tells these horror stories like you. You're most definitely the best. It can't be easy, it's hard enough to listen to them without it affecting you. Thank you for doing this. It just wouldn't be the same without you. Blessings and prayers for you and your family and followers 🙏💓 this monster was absolutely horrible, of course I have heard of him. He was awful, truly awful. Stay safe out there people!
I live in Philly and remember this well. Un-freaking believable!!!
I've waited over 10 years for a solid video on GH. Great job . And I'm so happy to see your solid fan base grow. Wish you the best.
It's insane how these parents treat their kids. They almost give them an excuse later, tho obviously inexcusable.
thanks for covering this case! there is surprisingly few videos on youtube about this guy. happy new year's man!
I Remember the story vividly… It stayed with me the very first time I saw it, I saw the documentary but as usual ,This is Monsters has details that I haven’t heard… Thanks Jiles
Thank you Jiles for another great video and Happy new year....I was hoping you would cover this case, and I am so glad you did, even though ALL these cases are horrific and heartbreaking, this one stuck with me for many years, especially what he did to Sandra's body😢...RIP to both ladies🙏🏽🕊🙏🏽🕊
Wow. Just, wow. I hadn't heard about this case and I wish I knew why. 😕 The torture he inflicted was unimaginable.
Good lord, this was beyond horrific. I knew that SOTL was based on a true story, but had never heard it. This is just beyond words.
Happy New Year!! I know u talk about MONSTERS but honestly it’s amazing how u break their lives down from start to finish in a such a short amount of time and I can tell u a lot of people hear about mostly all these stories for the first time on your channel….. You put in a lot of work to put out great material,u stand out and I just want to give u props and thank you
SooooOoooo happy to see you cover this case!!
You never fail us, thank you and Happy New Year!
Only two episodes in and this is my favorite season so far. And that’s saying something because all of your content is terrific. Thanks for putting out some kick ass true crime material!
I have been a fan of your page for a little while now and I appreciate your narrative way in all of the stories. You make them alot more watchable
Crazy he took all those charges and only got 3 years.
I always feel so bad for Josephina whenever I see this case covered somewhere because there's inevitably a couple of dumbasses in the comments accusing her of being a psychopath or basically not being a good enough traumatised victim even after everything she went through.
3 a.m. gift of a new Monsters! Just perfect, thanks bud!
I knew of this case bc of a movie. But, I didn’t know about his death penalty conviction. Yes!!
I tried to contact you to say thank you, I don't know how to do it? But I listen to you every week, you are a brilliant true story teller. Thanx, Barb in Canada

Thanks so much for watching!
How is this the first time I've heard this story. I swear when I think I've heard all of them, "Monsters" defies the notion and finds one I never knew existed.
Thanks Jíles🙏💔🕊️
All of these poor women. What a horrific experience. It was so difficult to listen to but I’m so glad their stories were told.
Wow! I agree that the woman that had been there the longest wasn't guilty. She was simply trying to survive...it's instinct. Let me also say I love your storytelling! Way better than mrballen in my opinion.
