Landscape Photography Tips and Vlog with James Popsys
I'm with James Popsys in Norway and we made a vlog about landscape photography tips.
James' Photography Channel: / @jamespopsysphoto
My Instagram: bit.ly/BvSInsta
I was going to call this photography vlog "landscape photography tips when the light isn't amazing". But then out of nowhere we got pretty epic light. So, instead I've thrown in some general landscape photography tips you can kind of use in any situation.
It's also fun to introduce to you guys James Popsys who is joining us for vlog series here in Norway. He's a great photographer and overall good dude, so you check out his vlog here on KZread.
Over the next couple days, there will be more landscape images and vlogs from here in the Lofoten Islands with James Popsys, o be sure to tune in and subscribe.

Hahaha! Thanks for watching.
Fantastic photos Brendan. The quality of your video footage is excellent here on my TV in Ireland.
For what it's worth, I guessed correctly. I think James mentioned somewhere (Twitter??) that he was going to be in Tromso. Thought it was just coincidence. A rare time to see James with a tripod is while he's vlogging. Otherwise, he avoids them for most everything. Love his humor. You've got some bangers there. Rock on!

Haha, well spied. :D
I've been noticing that you have been enjoying taking more black and white photos lately since that challenge Jodie gave you back in Patagonia! The photo near the end of the video looked really cool. One advantage of the midnight sun is that when you have finished sunset photography, you absolutely cannot miss photographing the sunrise!

Yeah, I've always liked b&w. I just have a hard time seeing the tones. So, it's a work in progress.
Nice that you got some sheep in there with James. I think they follow him about

Had a feeling it was going to be James, love his channel and his humor in it all, fresh breath in the photography world :)
Yes! I am glad you and James found each other...a match made in photography heaven 😋😜⭐
Wow wow wow and simply wooooow!!!!
Thank you, Brendan. I enjoy your vlogs and photography. I like the idea of keeping things simple - it works every time. Great photos.
Popsys' usual photographic advice is things like "Tripods are overrated" or, "Always shoot sheep". Great set of images; you've grown so much as a photographer since I subbed several years ago. Big fan of Popsys too.

Breathtaking Video as always Brendan
Great instructions, awesome shots and footage my friend 👏🏽👏🏽👀
You are improving man!! I like better your pics than in older videos, keep it up man! Peace!
Excellent.
Why am i not surprised... Go James and Brendan!
Woah what a beautiful location!! Some great tips! I could have used this video last week! I was in Northwest Scotland (Assynt) at some eye-wateringly beautiful locations but the light wasn't great. I was lucky to have a local (brother of a good friend) who is a landscape photographer bringing me to his favorite secret spots! I feel like I didn't do the locations justice but it was a trip of a lifetime for me!!
Stunning video Brendan, your videos get better and better

Yes, my two favorite landscape photographers together at last! Excellent video except I’m not sure if it’s my phone or the edit but those title transitions where you advise “shoot the mood” or “fill the frame” we’re centering into the corner for some reason. 🤷🏽♂️ Still another excellent video, Brendan!
First :D wohoooo! If you ever come to Malta let me know ;)
-Brendan: we are not getting epic light here (jinxed it, in a good way this time) -Apollo (God of the 🌞): nooope, I don't like this guy, YOU ARE GETTING LIGHT! 😅😂😂😂, nice video
If you decide to not go home till after the sunset, you will be there till some time after July! Possibly even August.... Which reminds me of a silly joke: An Eskimo husband comes crawling home, after a very wet night out. His wife is standing by the door, impatiently tapping a foot on the ground, and asks him sarcastically "Do you know what time it is?? It's quarter to August!"
@BrendanvanSon

What time is sunset? August.
6 hours😍😍😍😍😍😍
Love the toned down mono.
Great to see you working with the British Jerry Seinfeld. I enjoy his videos very much. 🐼👍
Amazing like to dislike ratio o this one bud! ❤️
In an old video you showed you're using a gimbal but in newer gear reviews, it's not mentioned, wondering if you're still using it for vlogging
what is the song called at the last location? also, Nice video!!
I was here 2 Winters ago. It's the dragons eye beach. Remember our guide kept it to himself. Got to go back.

Ok I'll bite, Brendan, what is the model of that Eddie Bauer jacket? Usually their stuff is not to my taste but this one is interesting. They also gave some gear to Valentine Thomas recently which my wife likes so I think they changed their lineup maybe?

Honestly not sure what it's called. I've had it a couple years. It's close to this one: www.eddiebauer.com/p/12950341/mens-cloud-layer-pro-full-zip-jacket?sp=2&size=&color=Storm
