    Thanks Range. I have a few boxes myself now to add to my existing large TS force. Slowly getting them built, but need to crack on with the painting :) Glad you are enjoying the video series.

    Great video mate, echoing what others have said, these breakdowns are great for new players to Thousand Sons and new players in general. Thanks!

    In my two games against my space wolves friend, I used a thrydderghyre-aetherstride exalted sorcerer with paradigm of change and a khopesh, with powers of temporal surge and swelled by the warp. This guy advances 15+d6", then makes a second 15" move, and charges into combat where he makes 7 str 7 ap-3 d2 attacks in melee. AND, when he consolidates he doesn't have to go to the nearest model. He can also fall back and cast powers. AND fall back and charge. Which rarely happens because in my oponents turn I consolidate away anyway. He is amazing, and I'm never going to leave home without this guy anytime soon. He can fly from one end of the battlefield to the other, he can snipe into characters in melee, he can perform the psychic action to mutate landscape, he can kill almost any character or charge into backline dreadnaugts or vehicles. I usually spend the first turn using his temporal surge on some other unit, and charge him from turn 2 onwards. Seriously, my dusty brethren, try this and enjoy.

    I have heard of this build with a few other people too, and it sounds utterly hilarious to have such a beat stick character! Its so "not TS" yet so is at the same time, and I am sure actually takes opponents by surprise!

    @@OldAverageBritGaming Exactly! Both games I played with it were against my space wolves friend who was surprised to see a crazed sorcerer charging towards his chapter master on a flying disk that keeps laughing maniacally!

    I think malevolent charge is the best bang for your buck. If D3 MW is the standard witchfire output, spending 4 cabal points to double that output is a steal. Unless theres a good reason not to, I will always use it Edit: with cult of magic, you can be cheeky and add the D3 MW to one of the targets affected by the AoE instead of the direct target too

    Very true. These points are critical for that force multiplier in the key phase for the TS

    Hey, the "Imbued manifestation" at 4:56 is only for one psychic power, not all that the model can cast.

    Let’s hope the Daemon codex gives us that kind of flex. A redo of summoning is long over due I’d say.

    With psychic maelstrom you could have a named character cast a cult witchfire such as astral blast. To have Magnus or Ahriman cast it would be pretty cool.

    can we still summon demons and have cabbalistic rituals ?

  • @OldAverageBritGaming

    @OldAverageBritGaming

    2 жыл бұрын

    Yes we actually can. But you need the Daemon Codex to do it. All Chaos Characters gain the Daemonic Ritual ability from that book and by summoning you don't break the detachment/army rules for Cabal of Sorcerers. How valuable that is to do is still in debatable for me, but there can be some fun with the "unkillable" Lord of Change build

    @@OldAverageBritGaming even if someone debates Daemon summoning breaking detachments (See: Units Added To Your Army "Rare Rules" in brb), you can use the Death Guard FAQ as a precedent because they specifically say NO summoning won't break your mono-faction benefit. We will probably get that FAQ as well but no one will care until then.

  • @OldAverageBritGaming

    Very good point, I didn't even check the DG FAQ for the ruling they had. I am sure eventually the FAQ for the TS will mirror that decision (and answer things like the second relic being free or not for the Legion Command Upgrade etc!)

    Sorry can't watch the whole vid right now but a mate pointed out a great combo, smite until you get to a 9+ to cast. Then auto cast it to get a gaurunteed model back with the cp strat. If you're running time then that's 2 scarabs back a turn but you have to use their ability as a smite so take a backup weaver caster or warptime

  • @OldAverageBritGaming

    @OldAverageBritGaming

    Oh yes indeed, the smite to 9 (remember unmodified of course so the Brotherhood natural +1 has to be ignored) to get to 2 specific abilities - one for cast an additional non denied power, and one for returning the dead are very clever tricks. Just have to remember the order of psykers casting as this edition you have to do all powers on one unit first them move on, not hop between and it works a treat!
