I would love to see an update where magnus could have a rule that he can't be shot at until maybe like a group of 5 rubrics who have to follow in front of him were destroyed. like how the blades of magnus are designed to serve him!

I was hoping for something like Ghaz gets, which minimises the damage possible per phase? I dont want him to be an auto win model, and still to take skill to win with, but equally, not cost you 25% of your army based on a 50/50 roll!

Great to see you making content again - Magnus is back on my shelf, and I miss using him, I have tried very hard to make him work but find he does not last more than 2 maybe 3 turns at best depending if I manage to get first turn, if not he has been lost mostly turn 1, which is a crime! I hope GW need to sell more Magnuses soon and he gets some buffs.

Even more so now the new Rail Gun stats have been released. He’s even less of a pick certainly against the Tau! Could be dead in just 2 shots with no defence at all!

That's a shame. He is the reason why I became a fan of the thousand sons. I'll still try to play him, but I don't think I'll ever see a tournament.

Good! There is so much focus on tournament play as that is a focus on the more vocal (on social media) community. But there are so many other aspects to the game that its not all competitive out there. I try and focus on both aspects when reviewing units in this way, so hope you see some successes in your games with him!

@@OldAverageBritGaming Yes. I'm building an army that probably won't be that efficient, but should be really fun. I'm just frustrated that the stratagem Implacable Guardians singled out Magnus as the one character it wouldn't work on.

Fun should always feature high in any game. For me its the definition of what you play any game for, whether thanks Monopoly, chess, Settlers of Catan, or Warhammer. Fun first! But of course, fun can last a matter of seconds if you lose in the first 10m minutes of a 2 hour game, and that can lead to frustration.

At this point in the game, Magnus needs about a 150 point decrease to be sensible to field again. Or maybe the CP to reserve him is free since you basically have to at the start of every game.

Sadly the codex creep has taken huge upturn since our Codex came out all but making his selection pointless at this stage now. Sad but true. Needs 2 attack options with his weapon to include a sweep and a high damage version, a points reduction, a damage limitation inbuilt ability per phase. Basically what every other mega character has…

Can magnus benefit from look out sir? Like id love to bring him vs an imperial knights list to help with the mortal wounds but everything on that side of the board can drop magnus quick
