All of the major top end bows are excellent. Bowtech, Hoyt, PSE and Matthews are great bows. To me it's which draw and which look do you like the best. You can't go wrong with any of them. Get the bow that feels best for you. I had a Hoyt Alphamax 32 last year that I had to sell for financial reasons (very regrettably) and it was the smoothest and quietest I've ever shot. Very accurate, no complaints. That being said, the Bowtech Invasion CPX has caught my eye and I might have to give it a look

@jordyd19 Draw lengths were measured, and were within 1/8" of each other. Both right at 29.

All the proof I need Mathews is superior is the last shot of them hanging on the wall. They match speed and the Z7x is short and compact. That's just badass. I love my Z7x.

@Hedger41 I do love how short ata the mathews is. Its kida like a block though, short and thick. Some like em like that. lol

@tadpoal Hoyt does not use inferior strings. Best Ive ever used in 26 yrs Bow hunting !!!

Sweet bows, Mathews is sick considering its a 28" bow. A little lighter arrow and bow is def. shooting well over 300fps.

@GregsArcheryForum The control cable on the Hoyt prevents timing issues and how often does one have to change limbs? I've been shooting for over 40 yrs. and have yet to have to change limbs but, please, do go on....

The z7 looks sexier I am sure an animal would rather be shot with it then the hoyt

Hoyt didn't have silencers... it was noticeably louder of course.... but it shot the same speed without any so it would be slower.... and its way bigger... does it mean its heavier as well?

It looks like the draw cycle of the Hoyt is much less smooth. Watch his shoulder as he draws back the Hoyt verses when he draws back the Mathews (particularly the roll over). By the way, I own bows made by both companies. As every accomplished hunter will tell you speed is much less important than a quiet and/or smooth for a hunting bow.

@YFZism why pay 900.00 for a bear when you could get a hoyt or mathews for 800.00?

nice video guys. but i dont see why all these news bows are so great. ive have a mathews solo cam. z max. from when it came out.shoots 265 fps at 65 lbs.with 441 grn arrows.very accurate , and my logs kill and smash through everything.out to 45 yards no sweat.the news bows look cool with there parallel limbs , but at a grand each. do they feel and shoot that much better

Would like for demon7575 to explain how the z7 extreme looks anything like a pse!!?? Comparing Mathews to pse is sinful!! Hoyts are great bows!! I had a maxxis last year, swapped to the z7 extreme this year because I felt it was Alot smoother which I thought was an impossible feat.

@EhhBomB You cant be serious. I do shoot a crx but ive shot both and completely un biasly, as i shot a bear before this year. both very dead in the hand, almost not there. Have to say the crx is quieter.

Relax Hoyt fan boy Matthews is a much better bow company look at every year statistics I mean it took Hoyt how long just to get a draw stop

For speed wise they're not similar because if you would of taken the monkey tails off the Z7 Extreme will have a faster fps than the CRX you need to do that and see how much faster it is

i just got the z7 xtrwam today it is a great bow wayy better than hoyt

Both are great bows. I do prefer Hoyt. Get the Bow that feels and shoots best for you. Talking trash about 1 brand or the other is ignorance.

You know they do the IBO ratings at 30" 70lb with 350's right, so basically your test is not true to IBO specs stating the Z7 is faster but i dont care i like em both lol Buy what you like who gives a shit about anyones opinions all bow manufactures make a great bow and then they make entry level bows. I would say that the dude that owns that hardware store knows what he is doing. Are you saying that the longer axel to axel will generate more speed? Comm'on man. That had nothing to do with speed. I have not shot a Mathews yet that was not at least a 1/4" long. Hoyt stays true to the specs. Hoyt jumps in the hand??? I'm assuming you have not shot one. You must like Bose speakers too!! All marketing with not R&D. It's not all about speed...but if you want to go there, Hoyt gets better speed out of their accurate draw length ratings with no vibration and little noise than Mathews. Besides...we all can admit that Mathews hunting shows suck!!!
