How to Fix a Snapping and Popping Neck

Dr. Rowe shows how to fix popping, snapping, and clicking neck sounds FOR GOOD.
All of these exercises can be done AT HOME and may help get rid of neck click, pop, and crack sounds in as little as 30 SECONDS!
This video will be broken up into an EASY, effective step-by-step guide that's going to target the main causes of pop and crack sounds in (and around) the neck and shoulders.
In the FIRST part, we're going to tackle a huge culprit of a snapping neck, that is muscle tightness and irritation to the muscle tendons. We're going to go over a simple and effective self massage that will help loosen everything up and get the neck and shoulders moving more smoothly.
SECOND, we'll tackle a big instigator of neck popping and clicks: lack of joint mobility. Easy stretching exercises are shown that will help improve neck movement, and help with issues such as osteoarthritis and crepitus.
THIRD, we'll focus on fixing imbalances and weakness (which may lead to pops and cracks) in and around the neck and shoulder muscles with strengthening exercises.
WATCH now and get rid of a popping and cracking neck sounds for good!

@@DrRowe it started with a muscle knot in my right shoulder area which creates a pulling feeling on the right side of the back of my neck. The next day I developed a snapping or clicking noise when I turn my head to the left or if I bend my head to the right shoulder. I've seen a chiropractor with no relief. It doesn't hurt it's just annoying. Will this eventually subside or will I have this for a long time?

This has just started for me this year. I thought it was due to age and years of riding jumpers and having a few falls where the horse stopped and I kept going. Landed on my head more than once 🤕. Seeing this I started the spoon massage and found a lump on one side I never noticed. Did not resolve with massage so making a drs appointment tomorrow. Thank you because I wouldn’t have found it otherwise. Maybe it’s nothing but better to find out either way. Meanwhile back and neck feel so much happier after following this stretching. 😃

This worked really well on my neck. I could also lift the arms up better from the sides It's still tight across the shoulder blades but when I snapped ribs 3-10 (5-6 yrs back.) I've not been able to strengthen those muscles on the upper back. I remember just before the ribs snapped. I felt something on that right side roll in my back. Then the intense pain. No Dr would align the bones. I was in intense pain for 2 yrs. I couldn't sleep in bed. A friend with no medical training one day lightly rubber the muscles with me setting up just talking. After about 30- 45 min the muscles were relaxed and bones were realigned and have now healed. The bones were in jagged positions. But I'm also unsure of what will really strengthen those muscles. The back in general got really weak. Which is unlike me. I've always been able to stretch been very limber since I was a kid. But, the back muscles have really thrown me. I understand weak muscles can cause other issues. And when your 52 and still out doing your 11 and 9 yr old, this is not a time to show weakness. They will take over. So if you can point me in the right direction on what's needed. I follow instructions to the letter and know my limits. And no matter what age, over muscle strength in general is always a plus. Thanks for listening.

I have been searching for a video like this for awhile. Thank you… I will start implementing these tomorrow. Would you have any comments about bone marrow edema. That is what I thought was causing the clicking that’s often unrelated to movement, rather just from the weight of the head on the neck. I had bone marrow edema show up on MRI at a facet joint. All of the radiologist’s comments on my MRI are mentioned as mild but the bone marrow edema concerns me still. I recently started some home exercises from PT therapist, but some of your exercises I find should be helpful also. I have had this going on now for six months and it is annoying, I also have some soreness, but probably more from the PT exercises Thanks again for your thoughtful video!

I started with the back stretch video and progressed onto this. it has made a very big difference and will continue to repeat untill i feel good again. However i should book an appointment with a chiropracter as i have had issues for many years due to several motor vehicle accidents over my lifetime. Mostly lower back and neck pains along with both my knees and shoulders.

Hey Doc, great video. Was wondering your opinion. I've had a grating sound in my neck everytime I turn right for about 8 years now; however, within the last 2 years, I've developed some debilitating neurological symptoms like brain shocks, brainfog, spaced-out, anxiety, fast heart rate, nausea, stomach issues and more. Docs can't figure it out cause my MRI and X-Rays are apparently showing minimal to nothing. I have uneven shoulders, upper neck issues, uneven hips and more. Chronic trapezius trigger points too. Was thinking it could be Craniocervical Instability, but I'm not sure. If it is, would you recommend these exercises for possible upper instability/misaligned c1 and c2?
