@@user-js8nf5zo4d This video is for TMJ disorder which is different from Cervical Dystonia or Spasmodic Torticollis. However these two disorders are related and one may cause the other or make the other worse. So you may find these exercises helpful for TMJ disorder if you have that too on top of Cervical Dystonia, but you should also try to find good exercises specifically for Cervical Dystonia. There are other KZread videos and websites specifically for that too.

I've had TMJ for about 10 consecutive years, and not a single treatment/exercise video has EVER helped me, not a single one, so i just adapted to suffering with a jaw problem continually getting worse. This is the ONLY video that I felt actually work. I watched it first two days ago, and my jaw had felt a lot less clenched, and then two days later I tried the exercises again. I felt and heard the pop that had straightened my jaw out and i yelled "Holy shit" immediately after in disbelief, then looked at a bathroom to see my bottom teeth were actually properly aligned with the top. The left side of my jaw had been clenched for 10+ years. That mixed with a 2-year relationship going down the drain this past 2 weeks threw me into a major depression. This video actually feels like it was a life changing fresh start with all the bad luck I've been having lately. I cannot emphasize how thankful I am for this video. The rolling eyes to the opposite side of the cheek my tongue was pressed against was what finally did it for me, on the third day of using this video's exercises.

It's really shocking, because at the time I was personally almost disbelieving of the results for a bit there, but the pattern rinsed and repeated time and again and its shown me that these exercises are actually really helping with my tension, my pain, my headaches, my brain fog, my confusion sometimes, and my general wellbeing. Its better than the gym in this regard.

I don’t know what tmj is. I hope I am in the right direction. So I have wax running out of my ears. Both. It’s yellow and watery. When I sleep on a side, one of my ear gets blocked and when I turn it unblocks. It’s like water. Anyway, so now my jaw feels tight. Like tired. I can’t explain it. And my sinus areas feels heavy. Is this a virus? Doctors are SO dumb these days. They don’t know what it is 🙄

For the past two years I have had pain in my jaw that makes it difficult to eat at times. Once a year it randomly lets off for a month or so, but the rest of the time it hurts all day, every day. Lately it's been hurting me to smile and it's even been keeping me up at night, much worse than it's ever been. Yesterday, in desperation (before booking a dentist appointment for it), I hopped on youtube to try to learn about what was happening. I found your video. I did your exercises. I have now been 100% pain-free since I first did them 3 days ago- this, to me, is a kind of miracle. I've not had control over this pain for over two years. I had assumed I would feel that pain for the rest of my life. I have never found ANYTHING that helps. I can not thank you enough for posting this video. You have no idea what you've done for my quality of life by helping me to get rid of this persistent, increasingly-debilitating pain :) I'll be doing these exercises every day from now on!

I also have bruxism since I was a child. I couldn't keep my arms in the air for more than 10 seconds, I had bad posture etc... Nobody was able to tell me where I should start to fix all that. Physical therapy sessions only helped a bit. But I decided to do my research and be my own physical therapist, because I knew something was causing an imbalance in my body. Last week I found that imbalance, even if it was there already the whole time in front of me: my jaw. I saw this video and did all those exercises, and they helped quite a lot. I did so many chin tucks and it really helped a LOT for my neck. But a few days ago I found the number one thing that fixed everything: releasing the pterygoid muscles in my mouth. A few times a day, I palpate and squeeze the pterygoids for a minute. I only do it on the side where I lacked mobility in my jaw. It's crazy, my teeth/jaw are now aligned correctly, I feel the stress coming of the jaw and I feel it through whole my body. It's really weird because for the first time in many years I keep my head and teeth straight, which feels weird. I feel more balanced, flexible and I have good posture now. Just by doing one simple muscle release.

One and half year ago, I felt the pain in my jaw for the first time, and I started to hear weird sounds whenever I open my mouth, at the first it was simple pain that i can handle it. And when i told my family and nobody understood me and i did not find the answer in the internet (acctually I didn't bother myself to search more), I ignored the problme, for a really long time. And I thought of that maybe I'm the only one who is feeling this kind of pain, I even thought of that I might be illusion the pain. And after few months it started to get worse and weirder, it was really painfull and hard to handle it, I was frustrated of myself and it was annoying that I have to think about my jaw 24/7, whenever I open my mouth to talk, eat, brush my teeth, I've to think about it before sleeping because I knew it's gonna hurt me alot next morning, and all I was thinking about that i dont wanna wake up and go through it again and agian. But this time too i ignored it thinking that i have so much important thing to worry about and I didn't want to ask for anyone help. BUT you know what !!! I'm the most important thing, I'm my first priority and I'm the one who is going to live with me forever, its really me, I & myself. And i finally decide to go to see the dentest after a year and half. Two weeks ago I went to the dentist and I told her about my problme so she gave me a Medicine, and she told me that alot of people felt much better after taking it, and I took it for 10 days. but I didn't feel any diffrence. But thanks god when I went to the clinic that day the nurse told me that she had this problem before and she did an exercises called TMJ exercices and now she is much better, I was really happy hearing that someone else had this problem before and they got better, adding to that it was my first time someone told me that they had the same pain. SO I earned alot of positive energy. Now I have been doing this exersices for 2 days and I think I really feel better. The reason behinde my long comment (that maybe most of the viewers will not read it till the end) is that i really felt lonly for a year and half that maybe I'm the only one who is going through this, but after spending hours reading this video comments and feeling emotional that there is many who is going through this and not only me, I felt that sharing my experince and spread the positive energy that i got from everyone is my responsibility. Anyway, I'm really thankfull for doctor Adam for making these great videos. ❤ I beleive we all can get better. Don't worry everyone, everything is going to be okay. And it's okay you can feel whatever you want, it's okay. ❤ I can do it, you can do it, we can do it. Good night or have a vey nice day. + OMG why my comment is that long !!? 😭😭 this is problly the longest comment I've ever wrote in my 17 years old life. LOL

I clench my jaw when I sleep and recently have been waking up with a clicky jaw but it’s lessening now. Such a joy to get your feedback, Vani. You are on your way to healing. I would do TMJ1 and TMJ2 daily and start getting your body out of the grinding loop. The open mouth exercises with the curled tongue are so good for you. You can do them throughout the day. Make sure to stop phone at least 1 hour before bed, do things that reduce stress like getting in nature and forgive others. You don't need any extra tension in your body. I hope this leads you to a life of caring for yourself and others.

I have been suffering from TMJ for years. I sleep with a mouthguard (most nights...) and also a CPAP machine. What a combo. Some recent dental work on a molar, with a root canal and a new crown, left me with a change in my bite. This has exacerbated my TMJ over the past few weeks with excruciating pain, making it difficult to bite down to eat on my left side. After some Googling, I came across your KZread channel yesterday morning. Yesterday I did your TMJ #3 and this morning I did TMJ #1. Wow! My jaw feels sooo much better. Pete, you might also want to try somatic tracking for chronic pain videos. Often there is trapped emotion and stress behind the pain, and they help you feel and release it. Plus ever since I had a tooth infection and then got the tooth extracted a few months ago, it seems like I can't get my jaw to feel normal again. That and I smashed my face on accident with a car door a year ago, near the TMJ zone. Just the last couple days I've started getting a pretty sharp pain on the right side of my jaw-- I'm hoping with these exercises and stretches I may find relief and avoid any costly procedures. @@Dracy. I try to do them at least 2 times a day, but I cheat sometimes and just do it once. The asymmetry was where my jaw is connected to the skull, leading to my jaw becoming uneven and my right face looking bigger than my left. This is slowly fixing my uneven jaw, I can see that. And it will probably fix my smaller face, but I'm also doing exercises where I fill my mouth with water and just try to hold it for as long as I can with a pufferfish face.

I get what you mean 100% that is tension release i believe as it happened to me but i started to getting like a giggling feeling but changed to crying lol. If i could get that electro treatment you can get that releases the jaw muscles i think i would cry for so long. This problem had took over my life to the point im in pain all over and i know 100% it is all due to clenching due to my very bad anxiety. Im in a dark place at the moment with it all and searching high and low for help but nothing and the Covid 19 situation made it even harder to get help. I cant carry on like this
